On 1/29 my mom and I were checking out at self check out and she was very rude, giving us dirty looks and making condescending faces and remarks, acting like a total child. I don't know if she was mad because she had to come over twice and fix the screen or what but it's very disappointing that winco hires people like that. I don't know if she has a problem with Hispanic people but she didn't talk or treat anyone else that she was helping like that. They are open 24 hours. This works amazing with my work and school schedule. The parking is always enough. They do however, take debit cards and not credit cards and you must bag your own food, allowing them to keep their prices low. Four stars for a large selection and very good prices. They have a bakery section, veggies and fruits, meat, bulk food and pretty much everything you would expect at any other grocery store. The tend to have less of the premier/higher-end brands like certain organic brands and more highly rated pet food brands. I have only shopped at the WinCo in Kent so I can't compare it to the other stores like in Federal Way and Sumner. It is clean, the vegetables are fresh and delicious, the bulk section is brilliant and the meat that WinCo sells it's delicious. I also purchase kitchen items, dog and cat items and the bread section is truly stocked. The prices can't be beat and the store is very clean, with the staff being so nice and helpful. I do shop at a particular time late at night when the store isn't packed full of people and the lines for checkout are stuffed with very long lines. I give WinCo a five Star.​​ read more

The store has ample parking and well stocked with low prices but workers do not adhere to mask mandate, 45-50% of customers in store on 1/10/22 were unmasked. I asked checker if they were enforcing mask mandate she shared her opinion about them being worthless. I called manager and he says it's posted, that many unmasked people in a store is unsafe. I cannot believe the variety of items WinCo offers. Just the bins of seeds and nuts and flours and baking mixes like pancakes or mashed potatoes for a Fraction of what they would cost if they were packaged up blows me away. We buy pet food and bird seed mixes of sunflower seeds and raw peanuts from those bins that our jays just love. I don't know how they can package beef and pork for half the price of what you can find at Safeway or Fred meyer.But beneath store prices they list what Freddy's and Safeway and Walmart charge! For those who don't know, WinCo has incredible prices on many of the groceries sold in other major supermarkets. I'm fortunate enough to be able to access it within five minutes, but I know others who are willing to journey out 30+ minutes just to shop there. The store itself is located in a stand alone area easily accessible by taking the 212th St. exit off highway 167. The sign is hard to miss. I usually shop for packaged snacks that can be found in any grocery store, but I come to WinCo because they ALWAYS have the lowest prices. For example, a simple package of Keebler's cookies you may find at Safeway for roughly $3 you'll find for $2 at WinCo. And considering that everything I shop for is usually packaged, the quality is just the same. I've also shopped for some fruits and vegetables here, and have never had any problems with the quality. The store is open 24/7, so you can access your groceries at any hour of the night with no membership required. They can also open up to six self-checkout aisles that help speed along checkout for those just looking to buy a few items. The hot foods they offer for ordering is also a fantastic value. You can essentially order about a quarter of a pizza, which they call a slice, for about $2! There's a lot more topping choices than Costco, and they're just as delicious. My only critique of this location is that it's seemingly frequented by some pretty sketchy people, especially at night. I often do my grocery shopping in the late evenings, and I'll see some strange people in the store. But whatever, I haven't had any problems with them, and what matters most for me is the price of my groceries. I would recommend giving it a shot if you have not already. read more

My years living in Washington have been heavily focused on Bellevue and Seattle, so I had never experienced WinCo Foods... until this month. We heard tales of 48-cent Almond Milk, however, so we had to go check it out and see what kind of crazy deals we could find on food. Sadly they were only 48-cents because that day they had coupons available and we did not luck out on our visit. We did have an interesting time exploring, however, and enjoyed the bulk section. And the honey section with the "Don't lift lids, bees may escape!" labels. There were lots of canned goods and baked goods. We picked up some tasty Snap Pea Crisps, Garbanzo Beans, Veggie Broth, etc. What I learned was cheaper at Trader Joe's: Organic Veggie Broth, Annie Chun's Udon Soup bowls ($1.99 at Trader Joe's, $2.10ish at WinCo, $3-4 everywhere else), and Rice/Almond drink/milk was either almost equal or a little cheaper at Trader Joe's. 24-packs of 16oz bottles of water were about equal to Costco prices. Leonardi's Pizza (in the store) was pretty neat. We grabbed a sweet veggie because we like pineapple and we asked them to hold the cheese, which they did. We were super hungry and didn't want to wait until we got to a stove to eat, so we paid the extra $1 for them to cook it. I'm pretty sure it was smaller and a little bit more expensive than the Costco "veggie, hold the cheese" pizzas we occasionally find ourselves eating, but it was still good for a big $13 pizza. They were scooping their "smoothies" out of the top of the container, though, so that was weird. We were glad we didn't get any of those! I can't say I was super impressed with WinCo deals, but it was pretty neat and they do have some good/great prices for plenty of items. Possibly Useful FYI's - They take debit cards but NOT credit cards. - Leonardi's accepts food-stamps/ebt/whatever for uncooked pizzas. - You bag your own groceries. Winco is the best grocery store in the Pacific Northwest when it comes to prices. They are also open 24/7. The night shift starts bringing out the forklifts and pallets about 10 pm daily to stock shelves so be prepared for the constant beeping and mostly blocked aisles at this time. I like to shop at night because there are rarely any screaming kids, less shoppers and it's faster checking out. I live in West Seattle and drive out of my way to do my major grocery shopping at Winco. I've written to their corporate office and asked on their Facebook to get a store open over here. The chains where I live gauge the neighborhood with what they charge. I buy things at Winco for $1 that cost $4-$5 at Safeway, QFC, Target and PCC in West Seattle. I personally like their deli made salads at $3 each. Each salad is a good sized portion, fresh and they have several varities. It makes bringing lunch to work easy. I also love the bins. They have bins in the back of the store with bulk candy, pasta, rice, snacks, spices, baking goods and more. There's also a pet section. I buy a pound of the gravy mix and keep it in tupperware. It lasts for a few months and serves many meals. I had a candy bar at my wedding, and we bought all the candy from Winco. It was enough for 200 people with 36 varities and it cost $150. They also have fresh honey! The bees are in the box, right in the store. I bought an entire Thanksgiving dinner for 6 here and the total was $65. No kidding. They had stuff on sale, and that included the turkey! All of the magazines and books are discounted from the cover price. Prices are cheaper because they only allow payment via cash, check or food stamps. They save money not dealing with credit cards, same as Costco. Also, you bag your own groceries. Also, the employees share ownership so they have skin in the game and get paid decently, thus they care more than the average grocery store employee. There's a Redbox, as well as discounted sodas by the front. They make pizza, and it's sold across from the cashiers. My wife and I just got a nice blender so we wanted some protein powder to add into smoothies. That's what got us in here. I remember friends mentioning the bulk section and thought I'd give it a try. We entered the enormous store and toward the back found 4 double sided rows of bulk bins, then an additional bulk section full of everything from goji berries and dried hummus to chocolate covered gummy bears and blueberry muffin mix. Seriously, this place has a dozen types of granola, half a dozen types of salt, dozens of specialty flours and baking mixes and huge bricks of chocolate, all pay by the pound. I seriously thought I had died and gone to heaven. So what started out as a trip for a few tablespoons of whey protein turned into that plus oats, flax seed, wheat germ, two types of pasta, cereal, condiments, string cheese, and both cliff bars and larabars for 98 cents a piece. No place to sit when you buy pizza at the Winco pizza/food court. So you have to stand there and eat your yummy Leonardi's pizza in the middle of a grocery store while everyone walks around you, and no matter where you stand you always seem to be in someone's way! The pizza is definitely worth it though. They should really put in at least one bench either inside or outside Winco. Sometimes they have really cheap stuff. Laundry detergent and toilet paper seem to be cheap. Other products are cheap too such as the fruits, veggies, and meat but my experience is that they go bad very very quickly. I had apples that were totally bruised and bread that went bad within two days of buying it and some meat that tasted funny. Didn't taste fresh. Other products are same price or sometimes more expensive than Safeway/QFC, so watch out for those items. Cons: They don't take credit cards (what kind of company doesn't take credit cards???). I came here to shop for some snacks several hours before my flight back home to Hawaii, since I heard the prices were so good. So good? The prices were GREAT! I was only here for about half an hour, but I spent it all googly-eyeing the bulk bins that featured a huge selection of nuts, candy, and chocolate. I ended up purchasing dried figs, chocolate covered espresso beans, cashew pieces, and chocolate pieces. They were all half the price of anything I could have bought at Trader Joe's. My mom ended up buying like 10 pounds of grains such as millet and pearl rice, since they were less than half the price of the products in Chinatown stores. I also got to take a look at some of the prices of other items here. The dairy items were pretty well-priced, and the selection is very reasonable considering the type of store Winco is. Also packaged snacks are pretty cheap, with at least a 10% price reduction for each item that I took a look at. The layout of the store is somewhat similar to Costco's. I have no doubt the lines are atrocious as well during peak hours, but then again, it's for good reason! read more

I love this grocery store. For me it's less than a mile away and they have a pretty decent selection of foods for a lower price than you find at a lot of other local grocery stores. They usually have a ton of registers open as well. They do have a lot of traffic so I try to go in at night to avoid some of the lines. Some of my favorite things about winco: They have the best milk it is creamy and has a rich flavor that you don't get with a lot of store brands. The service there is pretty good when you can flag down someone. The pizza dough and pizza toppings are great for when you are in the mood to make homemade pizza. The prices. While there selection is not as large or consistent as other stores it is definitely worth going to and is where I buy the bulk of my groceries. read more

I shop at Winco every Sunday morning between 7 and 7:30 and while I love Winco prices and they have what I need what I can never understand is while Winco is open 24 hours a day, between 7 and 7:30 they are working like crazy to stock their shelves. Why are they not stocking earlier? What are they doing in the wee hours of the morning instead of stocking shelves? I come into the rows being blocked with Pallets, boxes and actual people on forklifts. I can't get to what I need. I like shopping early before the crowds get there, but Winco makes that difficult with the morning disorganization. It is like the employees are trying to do their whole 8 hours shift in the last two hours. Very Frustrating. Management could do something about this, because forklifts roaming the store along with customers just does not seem safe. read more

While I would never do all of my grocery shopping here, they do have some fantastic prices on things that I like to stock up on and that's what keeps me coming back. That said, don't automatically assume they're the cheapest on everything you buy because I've found plenty of times they're not. They're great for packaged goods and have everything you'd expect at a grocery store. Produce is really hit-or-miss, which I suppose is an accurate statement for any grocery store. WinCo is a "miss" on produce enough that I don't even look anymore. They also have pizza and other pre-made food up at the front of the store, not unlike Costco. I personally have never found an expired product on the shelves, so props to them for that! If you want to keep your sanity never, ever come here on the first weekend of the month. So before sunrise this morning I drove from Burien to Kent for my first Winco experience. I'm on vacation plus I heard the place can be nutso during primetime. My daughter and son-in-law shop Winco and swear by it. I can't really say I'm a fan yet as it was my first experience, but I can say I spent $134 dollars on what probably would have cost $170 or more at my usual store, Fred Meyer. Meat prices were good. TP and paper towels. Good bargain. Lunch stuff for work. Good bargain. I still had to drop by Freds for a thing or two but I would say my first Winco experience was a good one. read more

There's not much to say except for the fact that it's super cheap deals on groceries. their hot foods, or already made foods are pretty good. I usually grab a big sandwich which lasts days upon days! the only thing is, it's dry, so add your own condiments. Hmm, everything is cheap. and it's open 24 hours. BEST combination ever. Just note that when you go late at night, they are still working, which means restocking, moving, etc, so watch out for the cleaning and moving that can get in your way. I'm not really a winco fan however this winco in particular is pretty nice. Its always clean whenever I go in and the employees are friendly for the most part. I never actually shop here lol. Its not too far from my job so I stop in every once and awhile and get a quick lunch. At their pizza bar they make a veggie pizza which is VERY yummy!!! Lol I love it and it has pineapples on it lol not my thing but original for a veggie pizza. Upon coming here I kept walking past this sushi making station, you can order sushi and they make it in front of you, or you can get the ones that they've been making throughout the day. I personally love sushi and now that I'm a vegetarian I can't technically have sushi! But I just needed some! So I went and asked if they could make me a veggie roll with purple cabbage, cucumber, and avocado with seaweed. Man....it was good, it was so damn good. This place is the highlight of the store. If they didn't have this sushi spot they would be like any other winco to me but this place sets them apart!! Love this place!! And it was only $5!!!! Love shopping at Winco! Unbeatable prices and wide range selections! Did I mention their Salt & Vinegar chicken wings? If you haven't tried it you're missing out! (You can also order for pick-up) This place gets really crowded on the weekends so we usually do our shopping on weekdays. I like to do my shopping late at night so it's very covenient that they're open 24 hours. Just be prepared to stand in line (2 registers open plus self checkout) depending on what day you decide to go. It's also a bit hard to find a decent parking spot (most people that park their car takes up 2 spots or parks over the line) Only thing that bothers me is their shopping carts. It's either dirty, wet or makes annoying clonking noise. But that won't really stop me from going here. read more

This store has a lot to offer and the staff is very friendly. It's busier on the weekend afternoons, so I like to go early to avoid the crowds. The bulk bins and deli area are nice, plus my kids really enjoy the pizza/soft serve ice cream at the front of the store. The prices are comparable, if not cheaper than Walmart and they are carrying more and more organic produce and products. Produce is always fresh and well stocked too. In the last year I've been shopping at this store, I've only seen improvements in what they are carrying, so it's a great place to shop! Never thought that we will have bad experience with Winco foods till now! We're so disappointed with their food and there customer service. I bought this bag of shrimp for couple weeks ago, left it in the freezer till last night brung it out, opened it and it smelled like dead mouse. So I called them, they said the customer service is close call/come back the next day we'll give you the refund or exchange.Ok, I came in this morning, the lady at the customer service asked us a bunch of questions and receipt, we showed them and she even said it's stink, smell really really bad. She called her manager, took them 3 thousand years to come from another section. We were patient. Right when he arrived, he told us why did u leave it out of the freezer, thats why made it stink like this. I told him many times that:" we left it out for making dinner last night, but it was stink thats why we didn't cook it. If we didnt leave it out how could we make dinner sir?!" He told us that he's pretty sure that it's not their fault to selling saggy and disgusting food while the EXP.DATE AND THE STORE DATE ISN'T UP YET!! How does it make sense? I love the winco prices , me and my husband save so much when we do our daily grocery shopping here. I come here every two weeks on Saturday ( the worst time to come by the way ) for groceries and buy a ton of things and spend under $200. The only downsides are how crowded this place gets and when you check out the lines get so long. The bathroom are always dirty. & some of the employees have attitudes , I dislike some of the people who work the forklift , they don't really pay attention to where they are going , sometimes they'll just say move out of the way at last minute. The parking lot is huge so great for parking but there is a lot of weird / homeless / shady people around so make sure your cars are locked and valuables are with you. So winco for me is barely a 3 star grocery place. read more

I love this place.... I enjoy the bulk item section as it is always full and clean pricing is incredible. They also include recipe cards next to the bins which I have tried several and they are yummy convenient since you are already at the store you can get the ingredients you may need. Also their produce selections are always fresh and well priced. PS do not forget your bags you get a 6 cent credit per bag which is pretty good read more
