My experience using Wind Repair Service was bad, and $200 later my refrigerator remains in disrepair. It took 3 visits over 2 weeks before the source of the issue was confirmed. Was told on the final visit they could order the part and repair it next week. Well, the day the technician said has arrived. when I called to confirm the repair, I received a very apathetic customer service agent who told me they don't make the part anymore. I asked when they were going to inform me of this, and she told me "there are still back to school sales happening so you should be fine." i would have appreciated if she, as a representative for the company, took responsibility for their failure to inform me. Ive now wasted another week trying to get my refrigerator operating, and didn't even receive an apology for the circumstance they've left me in. My recommendation for this company would be to 1. Be more attentive to the appliance issues customers are facing. My tech came and went 2x before finally finding the issue on the 3rd go. And 2. add some humanity and accountability to the repertoire of your customer service agents. read more

I was recommended to Wind Service by my neighbor who had them for years. I had issued with an old Whirlpool combo washer and dryer. The washer made a lot of noise when it's spinning and the top agitator was not turning around properly. I've learned that the transmission had worn out. The repair guy gave me an estimate cost of replacing parts. I decided to buy the whole new washing machine and dryer. I thanks him being honest and knew exactly what was wrong. read more

They don't want to do anything instead of judging. If you want to get the work done, find another company. They can only fix the dishwasher with the drain hose connect to the pipe under the sink. If your dishwasher connect to the pipe on the floor as it used to be, they won't do anything. They will just leave. They will not even open the cap to check. read more

If I could give a ZERO I would. PC Richard subbed out this call for my dishwasher. The service man came for 2 min, held his ear up to the door and said we needed a new pump. One week later he came back to install the pump - took 5 minutes and left. We noticed the next day that the lower spray arm was broken. When I called - I was told our service call has been closed and there's nothing they can do. Such horrible service on their part. I'll make sure PC Richard NEVER uses them again. read more

Service was requested on behalf of my Aunt and Uncle for the refrigerator I helped them purchase from Best Buy. Service was requested through whirlpool's service page to diagnose an issue where water CONTINUES TO have an off taste and ice IN BOTH ICE MAKERS has VISIBLE plastic debris and 2 separate technicians treated my Aunt like she is a hysterical woman when there are CLEARLY white flecks in the ice that look like plastic. On visit 1 the technician basically told my Aunt to "have your husband look at it" and the second said that she has already made up her mind that there is a problem again treating her a hysterical woman. AVOID AT ANY AND ALL COSTS. Call whirlpool directly and ask for an alternative servicer if you need service for your Whirpool appliance. If anyone from Whirpool reads this PLEASE consider a new partnering contractor for this area as they are badly working on behalf of your organization. read more

My experience with Wind Service could not be more negative. In July of 2024, they were retained by New Leaf Insurance to service a Jenn Air wall oven. Paul D made the service call and diagnosed the problem. It required a part needed to be ordered, and required the oven to be slid out of the wall cabinet. He returned several weeks later by himself. He then announced that he could not do the job because it required 2 people, and told me I should either remove the oven myself, or else have somebody remove it, and that he would then be ready to do the repair. I suggested that if I needed to do this work, or get somebody else to do it for me, I did not need him or his company. He left in huff. Another company was retained by New Leaf. I imagined Wind Service got paid. Bringing matters to the present time, another problem surfaced with this oven. New Leaf again referred the repair to Wind Service. Wind Service, refuses to service the unit. Maybe they were not fully paid for not performing the work for which the insurance company retained them. Stay far away from these people. They are rude, abusive, and likely incompetent. read more

They promptly replaced the part that Wind Service had installed and my refrigerator works like new. Had a new trash compactor installed, the door would not open with the custom wood panel attached to the front. Paul took the time to considered several options to find a solution to the problem. He was able to find a way in which the unit opens with the foot pedal without necessitating installation of a handle on the front. We are very happy with the service. read more

Paul D. the service technician should get 5 stars, he was in and out and knew exactly what was wrong after a few questions and opening the refrigerator door. The company should get 4. I wish the company had the part in his truck because I had to wait a few extra days for them to order the part. He promised as soon as the part came in he would see if he could get here. He kept to his promise and it took a maybe 20 minutes to get the refrigerator up and running. The ladies who answer the phones at Wind Service are polite and always seem to know what is going on with my service. It is frustrating to be without a refrigerator for almost 2 weeks, but Paul took care of the problem as quickly as possible. Also, I had to wait 5 days to get service. A terrible service/repair experience. Almost a year ago I ordered a replacement part for an appliance from Wind. They informed me that it was on back order due to Covid-related supply chain issues. I checked in periodically with them, but there was no change in the part's status. A few weeks ago I called and asked to speak with someone in the "Service" department to figure out if the part was ever going to be available. No response. I called three more times asking for someone to call me back, reminding them of my previous requests for a call back. No responses. I then went on the manufacturer's site, found that they had the part in stock, ordered it, received it in less than 24 hours, and had it installed by a technician who, you can be sure, was from another appliance store. In sum, if you like radio silence as a response to a service request, Wind Appliances is the place for you. But if you actually want to get your appliance fixed, then you should take your business elsewhere. read more

We called Maytag and was given this unprofessional company to come and service our dryer. Octavio A, our wonderful (sarcasm) technician came to my home and started to rant about work that was done in my home on the main floor when my dryer is located in the basement. He tried to insinuate that it was us and not the machine that's causing the smell. He then asked if we had warranty (which we did, with a extension) and got all worked up then began to march out my home like a 5 year old not getting his way. Positive: Responsiveness I had a broken glass stovetop a few months ago (April 2023) and it has broken twice :(. D&G, Whirlpool's third party extended warranty submitted a service ticket and WIND Services was our service provider for both incidents. Unfortunately, the stovetop was in backorder. I waited for 2 1/2 months to get it replaced. I would like to thank Lynna who provided a great customer service care, and the Parts Department for finding the piece for me. Lynna was very patient with me as I was getting frustrated and has gotten impatient with the situation. She responded to my numerous emails and calls about the status of the replacement order. When I started to lose hope of getting the service needed and a replacement part, I got a phone call from Lynna saying a technician will be here in the afternoon. I was ecstatic. Technician Gennaro arrived during the promised window of time, he checked on the stove, the heating elements, and carefully replaced the part. Gennaro is also very knowledgeable, professional, funny, and friendly! A great guy!!! I highly recommended WIND Services. I am so happy that I can cook again. Hopefully, the glass stovetop won't crack again. keeping my fingers crossed! read more

Our barely 3-year-old refrigerator/freezer stopped cooling the refrigerator; the (bottom) freezer still worked fine. Sadly, we didn't have an extended warranty, but we didn't know if the issue still fell under the factory warranty, so we called Kitchenaid and it referred us to Wind as our closest authorized factory service center (and made the appointment for us). The Wind service person came as scheduled (and was masked, which we appreciated) and, sadly, informed us that while the sealed cooling system was under warranty, the problem was a failed blower fan that was *not* under warranty. Also, unfortunately, the part had to be ordered, and would not be available for installation until just after Thanksgiving. We made a follow-up appointment with the service person, and were quoted a price for the repair. Today was the date of the scheduled repair. This morning, we got a call from Wind letting us know what time the rep would arrive; he came near the beginning of the promised window. He came in to the house, quickly replaced the faulty fan, got the refrigerator working again, and left. We paid what we'd been promised we'd have to pay. Responsive service provider, responsible and efficient service person, got the part and installed it on the promised date, no hidden charges. Couldn't have asked for more (other than a refrigerator fan that didn't fail!). read more

Worst customer service by far. My refrigerator has been broken since 9/2020. It's now December and they still have not fixed it nor do they have any compassion for my situation. They have been a no show to 4 appointment dates. Today they call me and say that there here. I go outside immediately and they left. So we unfortunately had to use this company for a Whirlpool recall, they were sent by Whirlpool. So they sent David R to do the repair. He shows up and tells us we need to hire someone to pull the dishwasher out and then put it back and he carried on about how he just had surgery and wasn't doing it himself. So he left without replacing the part. We called up the main number and I was told that David R was supposed to call his supervisor from the scene to let him know, and I had to explain he didn't do that and had left already. I was told someone would call back, no one ever did. Then when we went to open the dishwasher, David removed the bottom of it when he was here, and he didn't put it back together correctly. They were closed at this time, so when we called the following day to say we need someone to come and fix what he did, we again were told someone would call back, and never did. I was able to get it where we can finally close it, but I never want to deal with this company or hear David cry about his back, if you can't do your job because your back hurts, you shouldn't be a repairman. After all of this, we researched the company to find they have an F rating with BBB. So don't bother calling them, they probably won't call you back, or they will send David R to come and you can hear him complain how he won't do anything because he had back surgery and he isn't going to hurt it again. I would give half a star if I could, getting a full star is higher than they should have. read more

I can honestly say wind service is The WORST company I have ever dealt with. STAY AWAY!! The technicians are incompetent and just randomly choose parts to change because they are incapable of properly diagnosing an issue. My time was wasted as they kept recommending new parts for my washing machine (one of which was extremely back ordered) none of which resolved the issue. In fact, they changed a computer/control, and it literally made my washing machine worse. I can't even put into words just how frustrating it was to wait about 2 months for them to finally come with the final part and it still didn't fix the issue! And to top it all off, they don't listen to customers and are either rude or indifferent to customer issues, depending on who answers the phone. I asked several times if they could put my old computer back in since the one they put in was defective and made the problem worse (I wasn't able to do laundry AT ALL when they changed the computer). They told me it was already shipped out. A month later after a great deal of fighting and advocating for myself, I find out, it was "in the back" because it was never shipped out. Really? Why lie to a customer all this time?? Now they just put in a new motor yesterday, the 4th part they changed so far, it didn't fix the issue. I asked him to please just put my old motor back in while he was here he said no, and he wouldn't call his manager while he was here to ask if it was okay. Today I call them to say the machine is making a brand new grinding noise and I think it's the new motor. I was told my old motor has been shipped out. Again with the lies! I am disgusted, with the lack of customer service as well as the lack of competence. In fact, they told me to yell at the manufacturer and get a new machine because "we're just techs." Wind service is a major asset to Whirlpool and Kitchen Aid. They came to repair our dishwasher, the technician was knowledgeable and listened to our problem. He went to the truck, came back with the parts and had it up and running in no time. Very professional, neat and clean appearance, uniforms, asked if he needed a mask, I said that was up to him. I remember as a kid in the '70's my mother had a green Whirlpool dryer and there was a sticker on the dryer that said Wind Service, very impressive that they have been in business all these years. read more

Horrible!! Thieves!! Wind Service was sent by PC Richards. The Technician Paul D was horrible. I don't know if he was having a bad day but he was downright nasty. He was suppose to repair my dryer which was making a terrible noise. When he first arrived he told us the noise from the dryer was normal. It was not, it was squealing terribly and got worse by the second. Finally he agreed the noise was not normal. He attempted to repair with some used parts from his truck. He was unable to get the machine back together as the used parts were not compatible with my machine. He put the old parts back in and said he would need to order the proper parts. He then went on to look at another appliance our fridge for a issue with the draw. He stated that PC Richards had put the wrong fridge down for service and even if it was the right fridge he would not be able to repair as the parts were not covered under the warranty. I asked him when will he come back to fix the dryer. he said it was fixed. Which it was not it was still making a terrible noise. I called PC Richards and they advised that his notes indicated he replaced several parts which is an absolute Lie. PC Richards sent there service tech the next day and made everything right. However WIND SERVICE IS A HORRIBLE NASTY BUNCH OF THIEVES! Avoid at All Cost. read more

Although it took a while to get an appt once the technician, Vinny, arrived the issue was diagnosed immediately. My appt was confirmed the morning of the date specified with a 3 hour window. The technician showed up within an hour of the time window and was very professional. This repair was contracted out through our KitchenAid warranty and the visit for the diagnosis was paid for by Whirlpool. Unfortunately the dishwasher parts were no longer available for this model so we had to purchase a new one. I would recommend this company as well as Vinny. Great work guys! read more

In November 2021 I had Wind Service come to my residence to repair my Kitchen Aid stove. The technician listed to the noise and said I needed to replace the cooling fan. I was charged $115 for a service call and the part needed to be ordered. The technician returned and replaced the fan with an additional fee of $178. Two months later I have the same noise coming from the stove. I called Wind Service and I was told I would have to pay an additional $115 for a service call to determine what was wrong. I was only warranted for one year for the part. Apparently, nothing was wrong with the cooling fan in the first place and I shouldn't have to pay for Wind Services mistake. I am now out of $293. Negligence and customer service were a nightmare. Used this company because of service contract with PC Richards. Technician initially solved the problem, but within a few days, had flooding in basement. I thought it was coming from under the machine. Called for emergency return and was given an appointment 5 days later, while on wait-list for cancellation. I followed their instructions and turned off the water to the machine but the water kept coming. Called every day to tell them how my basement was flooding and was still told there was no appointment available. Kept towels in the area and changed them 2X a day. When I actually heard the water running, I moved the machine myself and discovered water coming from the drain pipe. The technician had removed a hose from my AC system during the repair and did not put it back in the drain pipe. I replaced the hose and no more water. When I spoke to Wind the morning they were supposed to come, I canceled the service and was telling the agent what happened and he hung up on me. This was 100% the fault of the technician, and the lack of response from this company is totally unacceptable. They should be grateful I was home and able to avert serious water damage and save them a lawsuit. PC Richards was also unable to get them to expedite the service faster. After I fixed the problem I reported the matter to PC Richards. Starlyn, in Customer Service at PC Richards extended my service contract for a year at no charge. She was the only voice of reason during this entire experience. read more

Had an issue with my relatively new Whirlpool washer that was purchased from PC Richards. They sent there service provider over, which is Wind Factory Service out of Hicksville NY. Avin M., the service tech, was able to diagnosis it in seconds, scheduled a date to come back with the new part a few days later to install and I'm back to new again. Avin was very knowledgeable with my washer and respectful and changed the gearcase in less than one hour. Great job. Highly Recommend this company. read more

Whirlpool directed me to Wind Service. I got a call this morning to schedule my appointment and was so disappointed with the conversation. They have no flexibility in regards to scheduling and don't care. I work 6 days a week but am available every day at 8am. They refused to give my any day at 8am. Because of Memorial Day my next day off is in 2 weeks- he said I would have to wait until then. I can't go 2 weeks without a washing machine. THUMBS DOWN TO WIND SERVICE. read more
