Great coffee spot! Tried Windmill for the first time while staying at the Strawberry Inn and it was excellent. Highly recommend if you're passing through! Love that their shop is an actual windmill. So cool! The girls working did a great job of helping explain their drinks and options. Not a huge menu, but enough. I tried their hazelnut chai and whoa, amazing! Would definitely get it again and again. There is outdoor seating around if you want to enjoy your coffee there. It's in the same parking lot as the main building of the Strawberry Inn, can't miss it. We really enjoyed our drinks! read more

Service was great and the person was patient explaining the menu. If you're not staying at the Strawberry Inn, it would be difficult to park. We had to park on the other side of the street and crossing too can be challenging because there's no pedestrian lane! The drink was underwhelming. It could be better, but the ambiance was cutesy and nice. read more

After trying a different coffee shop earlier that was not good at all, we gave the windmill a try and let me tell you it's damn good, we got the cold brew mocha and it was delicious the hint of cinnamon really makes it. Staff was really friendly and made sure our coffees were to our liking. read more

Last year, I went on a girls trip weekend with friends and this was a must stop for needed caffeine before we toured the lavender farm, went thrifting, wilderness walk, etc. Love the cute and quaint windmill, though that means the selection can be limited. I love this little place. It's very "hometown". The coffee is great. My new favorite is the "Honey Bear". It's warm with just enough sweet and cinnamon to make it feel like a hug. I recommend everyone stop here when you are driving through Strawberry. read more

If you are looking for a delicious pick me up, this is the place to stop at. We ordered a mocha strawberry latte with oat milk and a dirty chai latte with oat milk. The chai was the perfect mix of flavor and the espresso was not burnt. The mocha strawberry tasted like a sweet chocolate strawberry milk shake. The only downside was that they charge you $1 for oat milk. The drinks are on the pricier end. The service is friendly and speedy. read more

You can't just drive by this coffee shop and not stop to get one.... We stopped by Saturday closer to noon and it wasn't busy at the time. The employee was friendly and waited for us to order. We ordered one strawberry mocha and one iced vanilla latte. Both drinks were good and they lasted us more then a few hours and also kept us up alllll day. During my weekend stay in Strawberry I definitely hit up Windmill Coffee each morning. Such a cute lil coffee shop! I tried the maple latte, which was my favorite, I love maple and to have it with my 1st love coffee was the perfect latte! I also had ordered an iced Chai Latte and that was perfectly made too, love the flavorful spices of the chai mixed with the coffee (I like mine dirty) and milk, so dang good! This is the closest I have ever stayed next to a coffee shop. I ordered a hot chai tea and boy is it hot! Good thing I also ordered a cold brew. I drank my cold brew while my chai tea was cooling to a temperature I can handle. I like hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold, and this place did not disappoint. read more

I fell in love with this coffee shop the first morning we tried it! It was so cute! There was delicious coffee and amazing little pancakes! My husband found out the owners traveled to the Netherlands and came back with the idea for the mini pancakes and I have to tell you.....they were the best ones I've ever had! Cool little coffee stand in the shape of a windmill. Windmill Coffee is located right in front of the Strawberry Inn and is open M-Sat from 6:30am to 11am. When I was staying at the Strawberry Inn, it was nice to walk right out front and grab myself a latte. They serve many of the regular espresso drinks and teas you find at coffee shops plus a variety of syrup flavors to choose from. They also sell coffee mugs and tumblers with the Strawberry Inn logo on them. This is a nice partnership between two small businesses that benefits all parties including the customer. The barista was great both times I visited here. read more

A great little spot. We ended up going back twice, especially as there's few options in the area. The first time we went, the person taking orders was not friendly. He did not welcome us or answer our questions appropriately about what was offered. The second time, the staff was different and friendlier. The coffee was pretty good, but expensive. I think if we stayed in Strawberry, we'd grab coffee here again due to no other option. read more

Stopped here for coffee. Service was.... strange. We ordered two Mochas and it was $17! I have never spent that even at Starbucks. Cute stand. The coffee was fine. I did not taste mocha or strawberry. It was a regular iced coffee. So not worth the $17 but it was a cute stop. I would not do it again but really cute property! read more

All we got was coffee to go. I wanted extra cream and he didn't provide extra cream. Who doesn't have extra cream for customers? It wax a cute windmill. But damn have extra cream or containers to provide it in. All coffee places can accommodate that simple request. And coffee was not that great! Tasted burnt. Great coffee, even better people. We visited on the Yelp getaway and I am so glad that we found windmill. The strawberry mocha is a must have! I was a little Leary of the combo, but it is surprisingly delish! The espresso is bold and cuts through the sweetness of the strawberry purée. The stand is very cute, it literally looks like a windmill! We spoke with the owner and his wife who also do mission work in Africa and help run a program to feed children. Their proceeds go towards building their mission work in Africa. We visited multiple times throughout our two day stay and I'm already looking forward to returning! read more

We got here around 1:30 pm just in time for some lunch. As I turned my head to the right, asking what we should eat, we all said "PIEbar" together. Jinx. It's just the perfect little cafe. It's bright yellow so it catches your eye. A line of people waiting to order at the front door was moving fast. Parking is right off the highway and in front of the restaurant. There's also additional parking behind the restaurant down the hill. Stairs come straight up to patio from the lower lot. Beautiful patios surround the restaurant with shaded tables. Gorgeous Ivy covered pines and oaks cover the patio areas. Two gender neutral restrooms available in a separate small building next to the restaurant. I love how the menus are written and posted everywhere and list empanadas in order by popularity. Another thing I appreciate is the size of the empanada and the price. They are small enough and inexpensive enough that you could get a snack but if you wanted to get, let's say five or six because you're hungry for lunch it is still affordable. Service was so friendly and great as we ordered at the counter. I couldn't believe how quickly the ordering process went and we were handed a bag of warm empanadas before we knew it. We ordered: - 1 SAVORY Empanada - The Mountain Man Empanada - sausage, potato gravy, cheese (most popular) - 1 SAVORY Empanada - Chicken Pot Pie empanada (second most popular) - 1 SAVORY Empanada - Picadillo Beef Empanada - shaved beef, diced potato, green chiles, onion, cilantro, tomato, garlic (I got this one and it's #1 in my book) - 1 SAVORY Empanada - Artichoke Dip Empanada (meatless) daughter said this was very good - 1 SWEET Empanada - Apple/Dulce de Leche - warm and yummy! We all split this for dessert. The pastry / shell is very tasty and doesn't taste like some I've tried other places with an artificial taste. It's flaky and filling. Handheld size. Perfect for taking on the go. Each empanada placed in a waxed paper sleeve. They've got a few different very tasty dipping sauces as well. They don't have a Costco in their backyard so I understand the price is being a little higher, but I didn't feel that they were out of line. Overall, four out of five it's a little tiny open air place, and they are making their empanadas very rapidly baking them and then putting them and holding ovens the temperatures could've been a little higher on the ones that we got that's the only negative that I saw but overall worth stopping in

Love their selection of local honey from various areas of AZ so, if you have allergies, you can find the perfect honey to help those allergies. My friend has bad, seasonal allergies, and she swears that a couple of tablespoons a day helps! I also purchased some honey sticks for my great niece and nephew, who absolutely love flavored honey! Very reasonable prices! Quaint little store, and Virginia provided the best customer service, and was so wonderful to talk to! This was our first time here, but definitely not our last!

Food arrived in about 10 minutes, and looked great and everything was delicious. The cod had a light breading and fresh tasting. The fish plate included a potato, coleslaw and cornbread. The cornbread was okay, a little dry. The chili was a hearty portion and included cheese and onion toppings and crackers. Highly recommended for a nice meal in the pines.
