There are a handful of must visit restaurants while we stay in Berlin every May for our annual vacation and Sunset Grille is one of them! We arrived right around 1:30pm on a nice (but breezy), sunny Saturday. Since it was a bit windy we decided to sit at Teaser's outdoor bar instead of out on the deck. We had our choice of bar seats on all 4 sides of the bar but the bar quickly filled up not long after. We chose the back side of the bar looking out at the marina which happened to be right by the orange squeezer which was a great move. The bartender, Kate (I believe), made many, many crushes while we were there. It's so nice seeing Orange Crushes made with fresh squeezed OJ. Kate was a pleasure to interact with and she made so many great recommendations (Spicy Mango Crush, Baltimore Club, Mediterranean Grain Bowl). We started with crushes of course, two Orange Crushes and a Grapefruit Crush. I then switched to a Spicy Mango Crush with a Tajin rim and I may have liked that better than the Grapefruit crush. My dad enjoyed my Spicy Mango Crush so much he ordered one for himself. My mom also switched it up and ordered an Espresso Martini which was a little disappointing to say the least. Per one of Kate's suggestions, I got the Baltimore Club which is a crabcake sandwich with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and shrimp salad served on an everything bun. The crabcake itself was really, really good and combined with all of the other toppings/fixin's I think this is a must order for me next time I'm here. My mom got the Applewood Smoked Pulled Pork Sandwich and my dad got the Sunset Burger. All sandwiches are served with fries, slaw, or Mediterranean Salad. Everything was so good that we decided to come back the next day for lunch again. I ended up getting the Sunset Burger and my parents both ordered the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Kate made another great recommendation as we all decided to go with the Mediterranean Salad as our side and it didn't disappoint. It was light, bright, refreshing, and citrusy. We've been coming to the area now from Jersey for years and have always had good experiences at Sunset Grille. The atmosphere is always great being right on the water but the food and service over these two days may have been the best yet. We will be back in June and will definitely be dining at Sunset Grille Marina. read more

Beautiful atmosphere. We sat on upper deck overlooking the marina. Server was very attentive. Every single bit if food was amazing. We got the sourdough bread and cheddar biscuits to start. So fresh! We got crab cakes, crab imperial and filet mignon. Everything was delicious, no complaints. For dessert we got the turtle brownie sundae and peanut butter pie in a jar. The portions were huge! We went for an early dinner here. The staff is very friendly and we sat where we could see the water. I like the ambiance here. We ordered the mahi sticks, shrimp wrap and French onion soup. The soup was fantastic just a little Pricey. The mahi sticks were ok but the sauce that came with them great. The wrap was full of shrimp and tasty. I had a pomegranate martini that was super good. Our waitress was very good. I think we would come again but... I thought it was a little expensive for what it was. read more

Everything about this restaurant start to finish was amazing, from the ambiance, drinks, service and food. There was a 45-minute to hour wait downstairs but self seating upstairs. So we decided to sit upstairs at a four-top table if which was right next to their patio outside seating . The ambiance was giving very much beach vibes and we loved it! I love the varying options in food choices, the lamb chops were delicious abd you got four, the cream of crab soup was delicious with nice chunks of crab meat. The drinks were amazing and the crispy lobster fingers were absolutely amazing! The restaurants well kept and the food came in great time and the service was fantastic. July 2025 I'm not exaggerating when I say the Butter Poached Shrimp might be the best thing I've eaten in OCMD...ever... Last year's lineup from Sunset Grille was so solid, I didn't think it could be topped. Turns out, I was wrong. First surprise: the portion. I expected a tiny plate at a premium price, but it was generous enough to satisfy. Sure, some might say four shrimp isn't enough, and yeah, I wouldn't have complained about more, but realistically, it felt just right. Service was on point. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and knew the menu well without overdoing it. The ambiance? Classic OCMD perfection. Indoor seating is fine, but nothing beats being out by the water with the boats near by, breeze in your face, & salt air mixing with the food. It's the kind of setting that actually makes things taste better. My wife went with the twin 5oz crab cake dinner, and we kicked things off by sharing the Aged Cabot White Cheddar rolls. Warm, buttery, and the perfect match to everything we ordered. Just like last year, this spot gets a wholehearted recommendation from us. We'll be back next summer. read more

The atmosphere is so fun from the second you walk in. It's super beachy and great for photos! Bar and outdoor seating right on the water where you can watch boats dock. The outside table with the view was nice. When the band started playing, it would have been nice if you would have cut the restaurant music overhead. This way we could have enjoyed one sound instead of two jumbled sounds. The mahi fingers which have been a favorite of ours for years were less than adequate. Bland taste. Off night, maybe?Menu has changed alot! Very limited menu. oh well.....Once the food arrived, we were trying to enjoy our meal while being eaten alive by the flies. Sunset grill is our favorite restaurant in ocean city. It has the best crab dip/crab cakes out of the many restaurants we have tried over the years coming for vacation. It doesn't ever normally disappoint, I will say the Australian waygu was a bit of a let down this time around. Not much flavor and overcooked/cold for what I normally prefer. We loved our visits to this restaurant this summer. Came for a bday dinner and on 4th of July. Both times we made reservations for a table on the dock facing the marina. The view is absolutely beautiful and the palm trees & decor is great for pics. The food was delicious. Everything we ordered with crab had huge portions of clean lump crab meat. The shrimp and crab tortellini dinner was everyone's fav so far. The drink menu is great and my husband loved the Pain Kill cocktail. The spicy margarita was a little sweet for me but still delicious. The staff is great and friendly. The pricing is average for this area and the portion sizes are very good, especially for seafood. It's been several years since I have updated my review of here so what better time on my 10th trip to do such a thing. Anyway - party of 8 for this trip, we had Gregory L. as our waiter. He seemed like a pretty straight shooter and quite attentive to the details: from breaking down the menu, tips, tricks and recommendations- as well as explaining his moves with placing orders and drinks. Started with an aged barrel bourbon Manhattan, and the table got several appetizers: burrata with focaccia, cream of crab soup. The burrata was kind of a mess: I've seen this become a trend at restaurants where burrata is just a pile of weirdly sliced tomatoes and a burrata in the middle. I would much rather have a smaller sample of tomatoes that way there's no waste but this was good. Would have also liked more balsamic on top of everything. The cream of crab soup was REALLY good. A little more liquid than a thicker style - but the flavors were insanely well-layered. Very good. For my entree I got the peppercorn wagyu steak with horseradish sauce and chimichuri. I added a crab cake as well and fresh vegetable medley. Everything was very fresh - BUT! THE STEAK WAS BADLY RARE WHEN I ORDERED MEDIUM! On a steak that is served sliced, there is no excuse for an undercooked steak. Don't send it back bc I'm a team player. For a dessert we ordered several options to share around the table: pie in a jar, cheesecake, and the turtle sundae. The pie in a jar is a MUST-TRY: peanut butter mousse, layered with Oreo pieces, and whipped cream on top. WOW. Seems simplistic but the flavors were great. The cheesecake was a toffee with Heath pieces. I believe the cheesecake was no-bake. But it was very good. I liked the toffee underneath the cake, and the heath pieces were very good. The turtle ice cream sundae was HUGE: like 3 brownies and 4 scoops of ice cream - covered in chocolate and caramel sauces with whipped cream. The food at Sunset Grill grill was well seasoned, tasty and the seafood was fresh. I ordered the Chesapeake Chicken with a baked potato, seasonal greens, and peeled shrimp. My friend ordered the crab cakes with mashed potatoes and salad. Both meals were delicious! The crab was very juicy, the chicken was tender and I loved the addition of the ham on top of the chicken. In terms of service our waiter Jared is a rockstar! He was kind, sweet and very helpful. The manager was amazing as well you can tell they truly care about customer satisfaction which I appreciate. The restaurant closes a bit early but you can go to Teasers next door for live music and cocktails! Teasers closes at 2 am. My only complaint is the way the staff delivers food orders. There is a standing table behind the bar that servers place food on before they transit the orders to patrons and it's a very high traffic area. Tons of people (customers and staff) walk by and lean over the food from multiple entry points which is not ideal. To know that food is waiting in a high traffic area with multiple people leaning over meals is unsettling. Luckily our food came directly from the kitchen. Service is terrible. We were there on a Thursday and our waitress was awful. Never checked to see if our food was good, never cleared our appetizer plates and never brought our check. Had to go to the front desk to even pay. For the price, go somewhere else! And we are locals! Manager said it was because it started to rain but the service was bad before that. What a great place for family! We had our kids and grandchildren in from out of state and were looking off a waterfront restaurant. This place didn't disappoint. The food was fresh, portions were plentiful. The outdoor seating was perfect for our large party, including an active toddler! Second time visiting Sunset grille in 2 years. One of the best spots in OCMD for a fancy dinner or to celebrate any occasion. We stopped here on Monday night to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Made reservations a week in advance to be able to get a table since it's so popular. When we arrived we checked in at the hostess stand outside and were told to go inside to be seated. We then went inside the restaurant to check In again and finally get seated. They asked us if we were still going to sit outside but I told them the girls sent us inside to be seated. Finally we were taken to our table in the far back of the restaurant to a single table against the wall directly across from a large table of 16. Very loud and inconsiderate of others dining that evening. The waitress stopped at our table after we looked over the menu and I asked politely to move our table. We were moved into a different area with no issues but were seated at a table which wasn't cleaned and reset for service. I had to take utensils and small appetizer plates off of a table close to us. There were other tables cleaned and ready but we were not able to sit at those. Service was 50/50 at best that night , it was crowded but it was a bit slower from the first time we were there and sat at the "set yourself" area without having reservations. Other tables were given options of specials that night , we never were told about them. Not a very friendly waitress, never checked to see if we needed anything. I was completely done by the time she asked if we needed more drinks. Food was still excellent as expected for what we choose to eat and drink that evening. read more

Visited on a Friday afternoon, off season, for a retirement luncheon. Plenty of parking, very clean and up do date decor inside and out. All staff seemed very welcoming. Came here for dinner with my daughters on a whim tonight. Was seated within 10 minutes (without reservations) on a busy Saturday evening. All the tables on the 1st floor was packed. I now see why. This place did not disappoint when it comes to food & drinks. I was almost pleased with everything we've had. Start with my least favorite thing on the menu first: Blackened chicken as an add on to the Caesar salad. The salad dressing was pretty mediocre. Chopped Romaine lettuce with not so fresh Parmesan cheese. Blackened chicken was really dry. On the other hand, everything else was amazing. Painkiller & watermelon mojito was awesome. Crab dip was full of crab meat. Also nice and creamy when dipping the bread into it OR while using it as a spread. Lamb lollipops had an Asian flare to it. Medium rare cooked to perfection. Halibut imperial had a nice & light cream sauce that's loaded with lots of jumbo lump crab meat. Medium rare New York strip steak was juicy. We did not have a reservation; our bad. 45 mins wait for outdoor and indoor which is to be expected. We were encouraged to do "seat yourself by the dock". We waited a long time and we're about to give up when we spotted someone who looked like they worked there. She apologized and said she didn't see us which is likely we were the last table. Our server arrived promptly and we ordered and food arrived quickly. There was confusion about the sauce for the crabcake sandwich I ordered; she kept saying "it's on the side" and I kept asking for "regular tartar sauce". Well, they don't have regular tartar sauce and the sauce although served on the side is too spicy for this gal. The sandwich was just ok and didn't warrant the price in my option. I was glad I didn't order the crabcake entree at $48. My husband ordered a burger which was fine. The view of the boats and dock was great. The live music was very loud you could hear it across The street; I wonder how the other restaurants feel about that? read more

READ IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES! We came for my birthday after hearing great things. We had a reservation and still had to wait 20 mins once we got there. Then another 20 before our server (Manda) showed up at our table. We ordered filets medium. My husband has a shellfish allergy which I alerted our server on. She gave us a blank look and told us "filets are cooked on a completely separate surface so there was no cause for alarm". When the steaks came they were well done. We noted this to our server since we were paying 50$ a piece for the meal and they should be done correctly. She told the kitchen and had them remake them, which was better when it was redone. However, my second drink came after we finished the dinner that was a second attempt even though I had ordered it before it was delivered. Another server next to our section (Sean) totally ignored me as I tried to wave him down to check on our order. All of this was frustrating enough but the worst was later that night my husband got violently ill (only sick like that from food contamination) so the steaks were cooked around shellfish. We are lucky he wasn't hospitalized. We will NEVER go back. Horrible service, no care for their patrons and expensive to boot. DO NOT COME HERE read more
