Our waiter Nathan was very courteous and gave us a thorough history of Windmills and the thought and vision behind the building, menu, and inside structure. It is known for its home brew of atleast 14 types of craft beer, the jazz lounge with live performances, and for food- a mix of elevated Texan and Indian inspired dishes. The vibe.. the ambiance... its very different, kind of reminded me of New Orleans, but in a quieter more classy way. Its a great place to hang out, listen to some good music and just chill. was meeting friends post dinner, yet there was so much on the menu we wanted to try and finally settled for Aloo Tikki Chat, Shitake peppers and desserts. The aloo tikki chat was really well made, they even added the pomegranate on it...it was warm enough and disappeared in no time. Next was the shitake peppers masala, it hit just right, spicy enough to want to eat more but not burning your tongue. Then came the desserts : The house favorite Pistachio Mango Mousse cake is a must try. It was just soo yummy. Then there was sticky toffee pudding - melt in the mouth And lastly, an upside down cake - this came with home made vanilla ice cream and tasted just soo good. I really wanted to like this place. The menu looks good and diverse. Just wasn't prepared for the prices. It seemed like everything was priced for an event. Like at Cosm or the ballpark, pricier than average, but you are there for an experience. There was no experience with my visit. Just an empty dining room at lunch time. I bet it really livens up when there is live music. The service was fantastic. They were all professional and welcoming. I don't think I'll be back for food anytime soon. I work in the area and am usually looking for more reasonable options on my lunch break. Maybe for a beer after though! There is no way to know the menu prices before coming. Its a digital menu with price shown after opening each item individually. Starters are $15-20 and mains all about $30. Plates are good small bites for sharing. I appreciated that every menu item had a picture of the dish. Service was great and atmosphere too. Very cool inside, not a bad seat to be had if your coming to see the music. The food was good with interesting flavor but I didnt like the preparation. The paneer was cold and bland but mint chutney sauce was great. I would definitely love to come back to get it again! Also, it was my birthday when we had the company event. They had brought out a celebratory dessert for my birthday which was very sweet. We arrive for dinner around 545 6 o'clock and there was more than enough tables and seating available. This location does have live music that performs later on in the evening. We were a group of four and we're seated right away. Our server was a little standoffish and not the most friendly person. Kind of seem like it was an inconvenience for us to have come in. I opted for their baby back ribs, and found them to look delicious, and the meat was incredibly tender and was easily pulled off the bone, but their barbecue sauce definitely had a kick to it to the point where I could actually only eat two of the four bones that were on my plate. I wish that the green apple and arugula salad would've been a little bit more prevalent to add an additional cooling factor to the meal. I crave this place. We've tried a handful of different things and had so many delicious - and often spicy - dishes. Love the Indian fusion and different, unique styles. Can't remember any specifics right now, sadly, but I was extra impressed with the bar and creative cocktails last visit. The amazing bartender, who was also waiting on us (oh glorious day), had a special experimental cocktail that he offered once I asked questions about the cocktails and any unique offerings they had. I visited for the first time and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. My friend and I ordered the Karara Paneer and the Cheese Poppers. Both were very crispy and flavorful. The paneer was excellent paired with the mango and mint dip, which was the perfect amount of tangy. I also enjoyed the cheese poppers (think jalapeño poppers) as they were spiced really well. I came here to attend a private retirement party on a late Thursday afternoon. The party was held upstairs, which is open to the main floor. There wasn't live music at this time, which I would probably really enjoy in a future visit. The restaurant had a relaxed, chill vibe and the service staff was excellent! They attended to everyone's needs with a smile. I'm probably not the best to judge Indian food because I have a very bland palette. I mean, who orders a hamburger at an Indian restaurant? That would be me! It was delicious by the way! There is an elevator right near the entrance, so it was easy to get up to the second floor. The bartenders were excellent and asked questions to find out what our preferences were. The sound level was also excellent because everyone could converse easily without shouting over annoying background music. I came here for my birthday and it was the perfect decision. The mezze platter and stuffed naan appetizers were so flavorful, all of the sauces on the platter were incredible. Our waitress was exceptional, she took the time to recommend beers and food based on what we were feeling, and she was spot on. For mains we ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken and a falafel burger and we had nothing but amazing things to say about the food. I really liked this place. So I am huge fan of their branch in Bengaluru, India. I had no idea they had branches here in the US as well. I was introduced to this place via my friends who are local residents of Dallas. They frequent here and love the food. Since I had heard so much about this place. We had to go check it out. Parking was a breeze, they have. Huge parking deck right upfront. We had a reservation and we arrived 10mins late, however they didn't seem to have an issue with that. They have outdoor seating facing a water body which is beautiful but because we visited in Jan it was too cold to sit outside. Hence we choose to sit indoors. We ordered the cocktails, I got the spicy route and my husband got a Smoking barrel, our friends also got the chai old fashion and the hakka. All the cocktails were fabulous, but I liked mine the best. It was definitely spicy and chilli forward so it isn't for the faint hearted. Everyone liked theirs the best, I guess they cater to all pallates. We got the guava chicken, chole bature, cheese curds, mushroom naan, the tandoori chicken, salmon avocado toast and daal. Everything was fabulous. Very authentic and well done. I love the fusion flavors and the chicken was tender, cooked to perfection. The daal was creamy and decadent. My avocado toast was Indian-ized almost and tasted incredible. For dessert we got the flourless chocolate cake, it absolutely slayed. We also got the carrot halwa cake which tasted more like a carrot walnut cake tbh. Overall, 10/10. I loved this place and I am coming back when I revisit Dallas. read more

The a/c was broken and our server said they were 2 degrees from an OSHA violation. They had fans. It was WARM and super humid. The worst part was the music. They were literally playing Barbara Streisand and when I complained they put on green sleeves - Christmas music! It was so bizarre. However, no matter when we came in, the hostess would give tables to people that came in ahead of us without really managing the tables. There is a large stage for concerts which looks like it would be a lot of fun. The beer was great. Had a couple of the Belgian type offerings and both were solid. People got the tandoori chicken ($35). presentation is on a large board, but in terms of actual food, it's not a lot. For what it's worth, my friend was hungry at the end of the night. Comes with rice and naan. The chutney was really good. Chicken seemed fine. I got the lamb kebab ($22) with 4 small strips. It was good but it was considered an appetizer. Pricing on other items: cheeseburger ($20) - this may be the only non Indian thing on the menu, fenugreek chicken ($25) , kerala beef fry ($35), rib eye and potatoes ($80), seafood moilee ($35). The dining area is open and bright, with their own brewery on-site and a menu featuring traditional mixed drinks. The interior is clean and modern, with lots of bookshelves giving it a cozy library vibe. There's also a large stage in the middle, which I imagine could be used for performances. I didn't try any main dishes, but the appetizers were decent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. On a whim, we booked dinner at Windmills and twenty minutes later, we sat down outside to the lovely view of the water. We had a nice server who was very helpful. I initially ordered the Drops of Jupiter drink, but they were out so I had The Haka which is a tequila based, lemongrass and pineapple drink and it was delicious. For dinner, I ordered the wagyu beef burger as recommended by our server and I'm so glad I did. It melted in my mouth and the quality was top-tier. The side of rosemary garlic fries were so so good. Yum. I got my onions and chili aioli on the side, but ended up eating everything. It took my meal quite a while to come. Once arrived, our server did explain they made it wrong and they sent it back. The food was not bad but for the price point it could have been a lot better. The curry seems flavorless compared to more authentic Indian restaurants and the lamb could have been cooked more. I was in a party of three and they sat us in a two top, and we were struggling to fit three entrees there. The service was also very rushed and our server kept taking away our dishes half eaten, which would have been a problem if our food wasn't so bad. The mango lassi also wasn't on the menu, further proving how unauthentic the experience was. We ordered a charcuterie board that was 10/10, plus a rose berry mocktail that my wife enjoyed. A little pricey but well worth it. To top it all off, the manager gave us a brief tour of the facility including a quick peak of the brewery upstairs. If we lived closer, we'd come here often!
