What a treat this place was!! My son and I needed a quick spot for brunch before I took him back to school after his appointment at Scottish Rite. It was around 11:45 AM on a Tuesday and this place was poppin'! I have recently become obsessed with lox and bagels and this place did not disappoint. It was fantastic. Typically, I'm a mimosa girl, but I thought this lavender lemon drop drink sounded intriguing and it ended up being quite yummy. The only thing I was a little bit sad about was that in the description of the drink, it says it comes with a sugared rim and unfortunately mine did not. My son had the chorizo omelette and chose pancakes and Gouda grits for his sides. Both his plates and his bowl of grits were completely empty by the time it was time to go. Tried The Egg Posh recently and overall left a little disappointed. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but unfortunately the poached eggs were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce was served kind of cold. The cannoli donuts also didn't have much presentation and looked a bit sloppy on the plate compared to what I expected. The biscuits and gravy had very little sausage and gravy, and when I asked for extra gravy, I was charged additional for it, which was upsetting. I'll start by saying there was nothing wrong with my experience here, especially customer service wise. The hostesses were lovely and our server was Sergio took very good care of us. We ordered: an iced latte, short rib benedict, berry explosion french toast, and the lobster omelette. Everything came out timely and looked very appealing, however flavor-wise I just wasn't impressed. The iced latte was not good in my opinion - would not recommend. For the food, it was okay but it really is not memorable nor something I would feel enticed to return to have. I love eating at a restaurant when the food meets the positive reviews. They don't take reservations, so expect a little bit of a wait on the weekends, we waited about 30 minutes for 2 people. We split the Dubai beignets, which we were delicious. I enjoyed my avocado tree omelet, and my husband gobbled up his Breakfast ensemble with berry explosion pancakes. All ingredients were fresh, down to the rosemary spring and other garnishes. The toast was soft and buttery. The grits were not great. It was my least favorite item and the weakest part of my meal. M My mimosa was wonderful. It had a great balance of orange juice and champagne. I love the glasses the mimosas are served in. Service was good and my waitress was pleasant. They were super busy by 9am. Came here with a group of 9 and came in person prior to arrival to be placed on the waitlist. Was seated instantly. The space is small but given we had a big party we expected a tight fit. Despite the group size it's still a small space packed. Also the light fixture above us was coated in dust. It's pretty intricate so dusting must be a pain but it was enough for everyone to notice. Every item we got we enjoyed and the portion sizes were definitely above average. I will say the syrup is amazing but let it cool off a bit when it first comes to the table because the bottle is more on the hot side than warm. Our server was friendly and fast. I met a friend for brunch at Egg Posh in Frisco. The check-in was easy, I just wish you could do an online check-in. It would make it so much easier. We sat on the patio outside.
