I am writing to express how incredibly disappointed my family and I were with the service we received while celebrating my dad's 65th birthday at your restaurant. This was supposed to be a special milestone for him, but your staff completely ruined an important part of the celebration. Without asking anyone at our table, they cut his birthday cake before bringing it out. My dad never got to see his own birthday cake intact, make the first cut, or enjoy that special birthday moment with our family. That memory can never be replaced, and there was absolutely no reason for your staff to make that decision without asking us first. To make matters worse, my dad ordered fish that had to be boned out before it was served. By the time it was brought back to him, it was cold. No one expects to pay for a nice birthday dinner only to receive cold food because of how it was prepared. We chose your restaurant because we expected quality service for such an important occasion. Instead, we left frustrated and extremely disappointed. A 65th birthday is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and the lack of communication and attention to detail from your staff took away from what should have been a memorable celebration. I hope you take this complaint seriously and address these issues with your staff so another family doesn't have to experience the same disappointment. Now for the food: Zucchini chips - a thicker zucchini when it's floppy (which I enjoyed) and their lemon mayo dip was extra lemon-y which I really enjoyed. My wife and I stopped in for dinner at 9pm on a Saturday night with no reservation and got right in to a spot on the patio. They had a live guitar player setting a nice chill mood. She ordered the Chanel #6 and I ordered the Peche D'Or. Both drinks were good. We ordered the puff pastry truffle which were good but a little dry. I ordered the lobster bisque. It was good, but had very little lobster bits. They didn't have a Bordeaux by the glass but had me try a Merlot blend which was ok. We ordered the Beef Bourgiognon and the Duck. The Beef was huge. Loved the hint of cinnamon and the portion size was perfect. Wish there was a little more vodka but loved that it was almost like a slushy.. Steak and eggs: 9/10 steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. The only thing I didn't like was that the juice from the steak made some of my fries soggy. French toast: 9/10 thick and fluffy and not stingy with the butter. Nice flavor and satisfied with the dish. Had to ask for extra syrup as there wasn't enough for the person who ordered but overall they enjoyed the dish. Lobster roll: 9/10 seasoned well but wish it was a larger portion. Quel gâchis! Is this a restaurant, or simply a dining room with a row of microwaves in the back? It is difficult to tell. The only genuinely positive part of the experience was the staff, who were polite, attentive, and accommodating. The food, however, was deeply disappointing. We began with La Petite Boulangerie: three croissants that looked as though they had died the day before and been placed in a microwave in a failed attempt to bring them back to life. Soggy, lifeless, and nothing short of heresy. Starbucks may well serve better pastries. Next came the Eggs Benedict with Braised Short Rib. Yikes. I was told it would be mind-blowing, and in a sense, it was--just not a positive one. The meat had the taste and texture of something prepackaged, reheated, and spooned on top. Nothing about the dish felt fresh, refined, or worthy of the price. I am not sure who this restaurant is meant to impress, other than diners who assume that high prices must indicate high quality. They do not. A French-inspired restaurant serving microwaved croissants is not merely disappointing; it is a contradiction in terms. Avoid this place. read more

Well it's not Lavendou, but it's pretty good. Ambience is classy French with a lovely patio option. Tonight they had live music during dinner. It was a great idea but the music was not French! It was a Spanish singer and the music ruined the French atmosphere. Bad decision. Service was disappointing. Our server was a nice guy but we had to flag him down several times during dinner to get his attention. We asked for a meal to be boxed up, but he never returned with it and said it was in the bag we already had. He figured it out about 20 minutes later when we were about to leave and brought us the box. A positive and the most important aspect, the food was extremely good. We started with the steak tartare and it was some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend the steak frittes. This steak was perfectly prepared and had a wonderful flavor. I did not love the french fries as they were a little overcooked and quite honestly did not taste fresh. Also highly recommend the beef bourguignon. We visited Toulouse for our anniversary this weekend. Overall, it was a good experience, but it fell a bit short of expectations. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the cocktails we started with were excellent. I was surprised to see so many empty tables on a Saturday night around 7 PM, but we did enjoy the live guitarist during dinner. We started with the octopus and steak tartare. The octopus was fantastic, but the steak tartare lacked a little flavor and salt. For entrees, we had the chicken cordon bleu and duck confit. The duck confit was outstanding. The chicken cordon blue was cooked very well, but again could have used a bit more seasoning or salt. We finished with a complimentary crème brûlée, which was great and a nice touch to end the meal. Our server did a great job all night and I appreciated this touch. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars because there were definitely positives, but when you spend around $300 on dinner, you expect the food to fully deliver. read more

As a regular at Toulouse Legacy West, I can say I've always been a fan. The food is consistently high-quality. I've literally never been disappointed. (Quiche is my fave. But everything is good. I've always loved Goga, the guy who does the Saturday brunch. But their new guy (Greg?) is equally as amazing. My husband and I stumbled upon this place as we were shopping in legacy west and it did not disappoint. The place was pretty lively inside. They had a singer at the piano. He had an amazing voice. We told the waiter when we got there that we wanted shuffles and he said they only took 14 minutes so we didn't have to order ahead. I got the beat/goat cheese salad. The amount of goat cheese was minuscule. Like practically NOTHING. Then the duck. It was the smallest, driest, overcooked, tough duck I have ever had. On a HIGE pile of sweet potatoes that were tasteless. I don't even know how you make sweet potatoes tasteless. The restrooms were DISGUSTING, at least two broken sinks, soooo dirty, and one had a giant screw sticking out of the handle as like a repair of some sort. This place was not the five star fine dining it used to be. McDonald's is cleaner. If something is broken, fix it!! Wow! Filet was ordered medium rare, it came medium. After dinner waitress said I'll give you a minute that was 25 minutes ago. The table next to us was so upset over the time it took to get their meals, that they ended up getting their three meals for free. Food service is not an easy business. But if you can't staff to handle the volume don't take the reservations. It's merely a math equation. This used to be so much better. No wonder the reviews are 3.7. Let me just start off and say I prefer their brunch over their dinner. This place is beautiful inside, but for brunch you can actually see how beautiful with the lighting and natural lighting! Dinner is way too dark inside for me. I loved the menu selection. I got a mocktail that was really delicious. I also ordered the octopus and the avocado toast. Both were really tasty in their own ways, but that octopus was cooked perfectly and was amazing. I'd go back just for that. The caviar tacos have a wonton shell which I love! The lobster bisque was on the thinner side, but had lobster chunks and crème fraiche to add to the strong lobster flavor. Our service was a little slower than expected, and our anniversary was not celebrated by staff except the very sweet hostess, as originally promised. However, everything else was exceptional. I put on my Princess crown and my eyelashes and my Jimmy Choos and we headed out.... The restaurant is beautiful and it even has a coat check at the host/hostess station. Our server was Haze and he was the best! We started off with oyssters and I had a Chanel no. 6 and the boyfriend had 2 glasses of wine, a and a Toulouse cocktail of some variety-- I forgot. When the boyfriend couldn't decide what he wanted to eat for an entree, Haze was there to make a suggestion about it. The boyfriend ended up getting the Lamb Shank but instead of the fixin's for Lamb Shank, Haze suggested thaat he put it inside the Beef Bourginnonne. It was SO good. And I had the Duck Parpadelle special that night. My only thing about the Duck Parpadelle is that I wish it had more of the meat and the noodles were a bit thicker. When we were done, we took a moment to finish our drinks and decide what we wanted for dessert, but then Haze came back with a birthday bread pudding!It was so yummy and unexpected!Ididn't think they'd do a birthfday thing here.
