She ordered the Chanel #6 and I ordered the Peche D'Or. Both drinks were good. We ordered the puff pastry truffle which were good but a little dry. I ordered the lobster bisque. It was good, but had very little lobster bits. They didn't have a Bordeaux by the glass but had me try a Merlot blend which was ok. We ordered the Beef Bourgiognon and the Duck. The Beef was huge. We visited Toulouse for our anniversary this weekend. Overall, it was a good experience, but it fell a bit short of expectations. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the cocktails we started with were excellent. I was surprised to see so many empty tables on a Saturday night around 7 PM, but we did enjoy the live guitarist during dinner. We started with the octopus and steak tartare. The octopus was fantastic, but the steak tartare lacked a little flavor and salt. For entrees, we had the chicken cordon bleu and duck confit. The duck confit was outstanding. The chicken cordon blue was cooked very well, but again could have used a bit more seasoning or salt. We finished with a complimentary crème brûlée, which was great and a nice touch to end the meal. Our server did a great job all night and I appreciated this touch. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars because there were definitely positives, but when you spend around $300 on dinner, you expect the food to fully deliver. read more

Well it's not Lavendou, but it's pretty good. Ambience is classy French with a lovely patio option. Tonight they had live music during dinner. It was a great idea but the music was not French! It was a Spanish singer and the music ruined the French atmosphere. Bad decision. Service was disappointing. Our server was a nice guy but we had to flag him down several times during dinner to get his attention. We asked for a meal to be boxed up, but he never returned with it and said it was in the bag we already had. He figured it out about 20 minutes later when we were about to leave and brought us the box. A positive and the most important aspect, the food was extremely good. We started with the steak tartare and it was some of the best I've ever had. Highly recommend the steak frittes. This steak was perfectly prepared and had a wonderful flavor. I did not love the french fries as they were a little overcooked and quite honestly did not taste fresh. Also highly recommend the beef bourguignon. Wow! This place has gone downhill. I would have emailed management but there wasn't a contact list on the website. It is tradition to go here for Mother's Day. We always get the shuffle for dessert. We went tonight. It didn't get full till 6:15 or so. Then it was packed. Tables were getting mad about the wait. Our dinner took forever. We told the waiter when we got there that we wanted shuffles and he said they only took 14 minutes so we didn't have to order ahead. I got the beat/goat cheese salad. The amount of goat cheese was minuscule. Like practically NOTHING. Then the duck. It was the smallest, driest, overcooked, tough duck I have ever had. On a HIGE pile of sweet potatoes that were tasteless. I don't even know how you make sweet potatoes tasteless. The restrooms were DISGUSTING, at least two broken sinks, soooo dirty, and one had a giant screw sticking out of the handle as like a repair of some sort. This place was not the five star fine dining it used to be. McDonald's is cleaner. If something is broken, fix it!! Wow! So disappointed we will be breaking our tradition of spending Mother's Day or any other day here. read more

We dined here to celebrate my grandmother and great-aunt's birthday (they are twins), and unfortunately the evening was very disappointing. Despite having a 6:30 PM reservation, we did not receive our appetizers until nearly 7:30 PM and had to remind our server multiple times that we had been waiting. When the salads finally arrived, one was incorrect and all were served without dressing. The $19 fig and goat cheese salad was especially underwhelming, with very large figs and barely any goat cheese. We then waited about an hour and a half after our reservation for our entrées, again having to ask where our food was. When the meals finally arrived, my grandmother's dish was not what she ordered, my great-aunt's almond-crusted trout came out without any almond crust and was extremely salty, and my lamb was dry. The restaurant kindly brought out bread pudding for dessert to celebrate the birthdays, which we appreciated, but it was not very good--the whipped cream was not sweet and the berries were the best part. To finish the evening, we ordered three regular cappuccinos and one decaf coffee, but we were brought three regular cappuccinos and one decaf cappuccino instead, and the drinks were cold. Throughout the night, our server was frequently absent and we had to ask the manager several times to locate him. The boyfriend ended up getting the Lamb Shank but instead of the fixin's for Lamb Shank, Haze suggested thaat he put it inside the Beef Bourginnonne. It was SO good. And I had the Duck Parpadelle special that night. My only thing about the Duck Parpadelle is that I wish it had more of the meat and the noodles were a bit thicker. When we were done, we took a moment to finish our drinks and decide what we wanted for dessert, but then Haze came back with a birthday bread pudding!It was so yummy and unexpected!Ididn't think they'd do a birthfday thing here.
