Pete and his crew did an excellent job on the exterior renovation (new roof, siding, windows, and…read moregutters) of our home. The crews showed up on site, when he stated they would and worked straight until they completed the entire job, including Saturdays. Their attention to detail, was incredible, they even went as far as matching the color of the gable vents to the new siding vs the standard white vent on every other home. All holes and corners were filled or caulked with color matched caulk. Every fixture had a white mounting block installed. They used high quality material and the installation was spot-on. At the end of the job, Pete did a full walk-thru with us and identified a couple minor 'punchlist' items. His crew came back the next day to address the issues. Pete even sent his guys back a few months after their contract was complete to add a dryer vent on our addition that I forgot to ask for while they were here. Their estimate, contract, and payment terms were clear and fair. We are very satisfied with the work completed by PJ Sullivan Exteriors and the timeframe in which it was completed. I signed a contract with Peter Sullivan, PJS Builders on Feb 27 with a start date of March 18 and gave Pete a deposit of almost $10k He was quick to come and get a check After a multitude of excuses he finally had his guys show up on May 1. They did 1 day of work and almost covered the deposit. 9 interior doors. primed. I had to call over and over to get a hold of Peter and schedule the work. Needless to say they were over 6 weeks past the start date After the 1 day May 1st ALl I kept hearing was they were backed up with other jobs and a million excuses. We were finally going to schedule July 8 but AGAIN a multitude of excuses like this 1 Peter: We are still working off our back log of work. We are going to be back on schedule with everything in about 2 weeks. However, my best install crew goes on vacation 7/27 until 8/12. So now its ANOTHER 6 weeks so from March 18 we are now mid August 5 months later with only 1 day of work done. Finally I had enough and got the difference in my deposit back and had then change a lock which they installed improperly STAY away from this guy/company. He says 1 thing and does another. NO regard for the customer. From I'm away on my 60th bday golf weekend in Vegas. to I have diverticulitis, to we are backed up. I have never heard so many excuses before. The owner came out to see it personally and came up with a plan to install the exact Clopay doors and Liftmaster Jack shaft openers that we wanted. Julie's techs effectuated a really trick detail to make it all happen. This is the second project they have handled for us and it will not be the last ! BTW- We did shop around and got rude treatment and an "This isn't easy so I'm gonna screw you price" from another company beginning with a "B". The price was substantially higher for lower quality doors and standard openers. When I specifically asked about Jack Shafts he replied "don't even ask, there is no way to fit one in here never mind three" So we owe Julie, Savannah and the entire team a huge thank you, 5 stars is not enough !

We worked with Jeff Struck on a new siding job for our home. After meeting with many companies, we…read morechose Jeff not because he was the cheapest, which he wasn't, he also wasn't the most expensive, but for the simple fact that he was down to earth. We felt an immediate connection with him. The project took longer than expected. Jeff felt the need to work 3hrs on one of the last warmer days, just days prior to Thanksgiving to play golf. Personally, I would have thought working longer on a warmer day would be something you would want to get the job done. However, we accepted this behavior as it really had no impact on us. Upon completion of the project, Jeff stated how he is always available, stands true to his work and if there were any issues he would come back. I guess that stands true until there is actually an issue. His clean up around the property was mediocre with a tremendous amount of visible nails on my patio. He damaged a new piece of trim when removing my front railing and said it would come out. However it's plastic and legit damaged. Not scuffed. The piece needs to be replaced. My husband noticed a gap between one of the sides of the house and the roof. The trim around our front bay window is all dented and does not look complete or new for that matter. All the white soffits and trim around garage doors and windows are literally black from the dirt from their hands when installing. All of which Jeff said upon completion they go and clean it all. We even had coffee drip marks from when they were on the scaffold all over the new trim above the garage doors. Clearly the cleaning process was skipped. Even with these concerns, the worst part about it all was Jeffs lack of communication and attitude when these concerns were addressed. Not once did he pick up the phone to call my husband or I, everything was communicated via text. At one point he mentioned that these were nothing concerns and he honestly feels his work at our home was done. He mentioned that he went above and beyond with something outside of what we hired him for, however at the time never brought it up or said there would be an additional charge, which if so we would have paid. He removed a wall air conditioner so that we can side over the hole. The exchange of texts actually got very nasty and disrespectful. Not something you would expect when his words stated that he stood by his work and any concerns just call him. The job was completed end of November 2021 and 3 months later, Jeff has continued to ghost us. Our last text was how he wanted to make good on his work and reputation and that he would contact us this past weekend. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and not a word, hence for this review. Overall the house looks good, minus the front bay window and front trim by the front door. So upsetting that it has to be in the front Of the house. This review was about the kind of person Jeff is, not necessarily about the work. Stuff happens, we are all human. Just own up to it, fix it and be done with it. This was a huge project for us and Jeffs attitude has taken away from us enjoying what we just spent thousands of dollars on. Personally, I would never hire someone like Jeff to work on anything for you.

To be honest, I had all but given up and was ready for the runaround, but something about Al was different. He called me and was so kind and really listened to me about my roof issue. He constantly followed up with me, explained every step of the process to me, and always showed up/called when he said he would. He also offered the fairest price out of all the quotes we've gotten. As a young couple in our first home, he could've easily taken advantage of us, but he didn't and you just know he's a good guy - as the owner of a company but also as a person. Al Struck scheduled us as soon as the weather was good enough to go, and his crew got to work right away. Al was on site to watch over everything and kept us updated throughout the process. Both Al and his crew were extremely professional and efficient and our roof came out amazing! Even the post cleanup was very detailed and we were so impressed and are extremely grateful. We ended up having a leak again, but it was due to an unrelated issue with the chimney rather than the roof - and yet when I called Al, he had someone come out right the next morning to help fix it for free. Something was always off and I did not like companies that sent over commissioned salesmen who wanted to be my best friend and then they suddenly don't know me after I sign the contract and pay a deposit. Ron Carlson himself came to the house and the moment he walked up my driveway I had a gut feeling I found my roofing company. The search was over. Ron did not start with all the sales crap and throwing titles and certifications like GAF Master Elite blah blah blah at me that virtually means nothing. He was friendly, polite but no nonsense. He knows his stuff and could back up why I don't need gutter protectors, why I don't need 6 inch gutters, why I don't need useless "gold" warranties pushed by the roofing companies etc. Quotation was presented two days later, no extra 6.8% credit card charge levied, final bill was what I was quoted. Period. The Carlson team installed a new roof, gutters, soffits, leaders, two new attic fans, ridge vent skylights etc. Their team worked diligently, clean and started each day at 7:00 am and finished at 6 pm. Rich came by to make sure all was good and so did Doug (though I did not meet him). Top notch roofers. No gimmicks, no add ons, no big lawyer written contracts to sign and no hassles. Old school - agree to the job, do it and happily pay. A handshake means something with Carlson Brothers. They took 1/3 deposit upfront and did not take the other 2/3 until the job was done and they were gone. In fact, Denise called up two days later and asked if it's ok to go ahead and charge the balance on my credit card. I can't say enough good things about them all. As to price, extremely fair and they don't upsell you on anything. Ok. Enough said. I am pleased to select them out of 22 roofers I got estimates from and yes you need to do your due diligence because you'll find a lot of people tell you to do things you don't need to do. I called the office and made an appointment and Mr. Carlson who showed up on time to provide us with a quote. The next day the workman arrived to perform the work. Everyone was professional and knew exactly what to do. Unfortunately there are many contractors out there that will try and do things that aren't really needed but this wasn't the case with Carlson Bros. This company and it's employees were great! Based on my experience I would definitely recommend them.
