On Tuesday, September 30th, I brought my daughter to the Windsor store at Del Amo Mall to find her homecoming dress. As someone who grew up shopping at Windsor for my own formal events, I was excited to share this tradition with her. The store was busy with other young ladies shopping for dresses, and only two associates were assisting customers with fitting rooms and questions. My daughter fell in love with a dress displayed on the mannequin at the front of the store. We tried a medium from the rack, but it was too big. When I asked if the small from the mannequin was available, the associate, Judith, told me it couldn't be sold until the next day when the display was changed. I asked if this was company policy, and rather than providing clarification, Judith became irritated and said I was being "difficult" and "combative." She eventually said she could ask a manager, but insisted it would be better if I just came back the next day. I explained several times that I only wanted to understand the policy, since there were other sizes of the same dress available to replace the mannequin. The interaction felt dismissive and unhelpful. Later, when I asked for the associate's name at checkout, Desiree (the cashier) said she couldn't share it and that I would need to ask directly. When I asked Judith, she responded sarcastically, "Didn't the girl up front already tell you my name?" Both associates seemed overwhelmed by the crowd, but the service felt indifferent and unprofessional. Instead of creating a special, memorable experience for my daughter--something I had been looking forward to--it felt like we were an inconvenience. To make matters worse, when the dress was eventually taken off the mannequin, it had a hole in it, which made me feel like the situation was handled carelessly. Overall, I was very disappointed. Windsor has always been a go-to store for formal wear, and I expected better. During homecoming season especially, customers should feel supported and excited, not dismissed or disrespected. I truly hope the store can improve its customer service so that other young girls looking forward to their big moments don't leave with the same negative experience we had. read more

Terrible Experience I came here to shop for my daughter and was shocked at how rude the employees were--not just to me, but to every customer around. You can tell they don't want to be there. I found a dress I liked, but because it was a nicer dress, it was marked as final sale. I asked if they could hold it while I quickly went to another store. The employee said only for an hour. I asked if they could extend it just a little longer--an hour and a half--and she replied, "No, because my manager is coming in and she doesn't care. She'll just put it away." That response left me speechless. Not everyone can afford to throw money away on something without being sure, and the lack of flexibility was disappointing. Instead of being helped, I felt pressured. In the end, I just walked away and left the dress. August 24, 2024 | Torrance: After attending the 2nd day of the 2024 Tryst & Nomad Art Fair, I walked right across the street to Windsor at the Del Amo Mall! I was in search of a beautiful gown for an upcoming event & Windsor always has a wide variety of gorgeous gowns! Customer Service: Natalie greeted me immediately as I walked into the store! As I walked around and started to pick up gowns, Natalie offered me a dressing room! While I continue to select gowns, she was right there to help me right away and added them to my room! She was incredibly attentive & friendly the entire time! Note: I love shopping at Windsor, whether it's a casual flowing summer dress and/or a gown for an upcoming event, including being a guest at a wedding, I always find the perfect dress and/ or gown! However, I usually steer clear of the ones with glitter, because glitter gets everywhere! Overall: What a fun shopping experience at this location! Disappointed by my most recent experience, Last year I came in with my eldest daughter, she was shopping for her prom! jasmine and liz were able to find not only a perfect $20 dress of the sale rack but also assisted my daughter in finding the perfect white dress for graduation, although we were purchasing her graduation dress a bit early on , the manager assured us she would honor a return even if it was past the 30 days ! They made sure to write their names on the receipt and write a note in order to facilitate the return , At the end it was the perfect dress so we decided to keep. It was a great experience, as a father I was relieved as to how easy and inexpensive this visit was for us. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago , my youngest would be graduating from middle school and we decided to come back to Windsor , we asked about the young ladies that helped us out last time only the hear that they no longer worked there , regardless we expected great service but the young lady who attended to us was very impolite and abrupt , kept it very short and seemed annoyed when we asked questions, I did not appreciate her insolent tone especially when she recommended for me and my daughter to go somewhere more age appropriate. I told the young short woman with curly wavy hair , her comment was unnecessary and although yes my daughter was tiny , she was having a hard time finding a dress as she is in between kids and adult sizes , we left and decided to buy online . read more

As a former employee of Windsor Fashion, I have always held the company in high regard. Throughout my tenure, I worked diligently across four separate locations, consistently achieving stellar sales results and contributing to the positive turnaround of store performance. However, my recent experience as a customer has left me disheartened by the decline in customer service standards. My daughter and I visited Windsor Fashions store during this prom season, eagerly anticipating a memorable shopping experience together. However, our expectations were shattered due to the lackluster service provided by the store manager Liz. Despite the store being adequately staffed, there was a conspicuous absence of attentive assistance on the sales floor. With approximately twenty customers in the store, it was astonishing to witness two cashiers serving a line of two people and no help on the floor. Moreover, when I requested assistance to try on heels with a dress, I was met with indifference from the store manager saying I am not allowed to take shoes to the dressing room and need to wait in line to ask. Despite having no one in line a minute later, she displayed a reluctance to fulfill my simple request as I told her I can have my daughter come outside to try on the shoes to see the length of the dress with heels. The Store Manager failed to demonstrate any genuine interest in enhancing our shopping experience. Additionally, the lack of follow-up regarding LP issues in the fitting room further highlighted the disregard for customer satisfaction. During the checkout process, I was appalled by the store manager's dismissive attitude when I raised concerns about the allocation of the sale, the store manager stated that it automatically goes to her. Despite making a purchase totaling $215, there was a blatant disregard for upselling opportunities, indicating a glaring oversight in maximizing sales potential. Furthermore, the unprofessional demeanor exhibited by the store manager, resembling someone who had indulged in late-night revelry, was utterly unacceptable. When I sought clarification regarding the fitting room attendant name, her response regarding the employee's purported detachment from the store raised further questions about the integrity of your staffing practices. IRegrettably, the closure of the Redondo Beach location, coupled with the appalling service experienced at the Del Amo Fashion Center, has unequivocally dissuaded me from patronizing Windsor Fashion in the future. It is disheartening to witness the decline of a brand I once held in high esteem. read more

I always remember Windsor as having the most beautiful dresses at an amazing price..and it didn't disappoint! I pointed my daughter in that direction for her prom, back in June. She bought the most beautiful dress! So then, when it came time for me to go try to find a dress to go on a cruise, as a middle-aged woman, I nervously walked into the doors of Windsor, hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Desiree and Liz quickly came alongside me and helped me. It's hard to find a dress when I feel old and overweight, but they quickly boosted my self-esteem and helped me pick out the most beautiful dress! Not to mention it was on clearance for $15! If I can rate 0 stars I would. I visited this location to make a return and the lady who was assisting was extremely rude and unprofessional. She had the worst attitude and kept asking me "did you wear these items" even after I told her no multiple times, as if I am lying and accusing me of doing so. Mind you tags were still attached to both items. Not to mention the woman gave me a hard time trying to complete the return because I used Apple Pay to purchase and on the receipt when using Apple Pay it generates a different card number on the physical receipt due to privacy reasons. I showed her the card with the translation on my phone made with the exact same card on Apple Pay and she was dismissive and still said it doesn't count as proof and I need the same card even though it was the exact same card. To top it all off, the lady had the audacity to call me a "BITCH" as I was walking away. This is extremely unprofessional and this woman shouldn't be employed at Windsor with this attitude. I reached out to corporate and asked to speak with the distract manager about this behavior. Hopefully I'll be hearing back soon. read more

I went to return an online order and didn't realize it was prom season so the store was super busy. I didn't know that online orders would be complicated to do when coming to the store to return my items. The store was busy at the time (mid-April) due to prom season it seemed like. The two employees at the front were trying to order and check folks out and the orders some times took extra time but once I got help it was very helpful. Two employees helped me, one names Jocelyn and another that I can't remember the name of. Her mom did nails, I learned from chatting with her a bit. Both helped me with my return/exchange. Since it has past the time I could return, the first girl told me I exchange for a specific amount so I go around the store shopping for things. I wait in line to check out and after some waiting, Jocelyn helped me with the exchange. She did have to go and ask the other girl to pick up where she left off. I had some items that added to more than the total, but she rescanned them all for me to make sure the price was equal or less than the exchange balance. She communicated often what she was doing and why and I really appreciated that. She was friendly and asked questions to her coworker when she was unsure of something. It was busy but I didn't feel like she rushed through the process to ensure it was done correctly. Came in looking for some dresses and accessories for Vegas and left with nothing. Was in the store for over an hour trying to find stuff in my size- if you aren't a size small... good luck finding anything that will fit. I tried asking for help but all the workers did not pay attention to a single customer. I asked a woman to bring a dress down for me since it was high up and she sighed as if I inconvenienced her. Once I was ready to try on some options I went to the fitting room and there was no attendant and the doors were locked. I stood there for a few minutes and at that point didn't want to ask because I didn't feel welcomed. I left my 5 items on the rack So many employees just standing around talking to one another. Very uncomfortable shopping experience. I remember Windsor used to be the go to place for formal wear- where employees really helped you find the right dress. Not here. The 5 stars go to Jennifer for being such an outstanding employee. EVERY time I have been to this store, she has been exceptional. When I have called to check if an item is available she will check - despite everything else going on. I've never worked retail but I've seen some rude ass customers in my life, so I'm not sure how Jennifer keeps the upbeat attitude. On several occasions, she offered to pull items for me, suggested items, and above all has never made me feel pressured into making a purchase. I know most retail employees do not get paid enough for what they do (and Jennifer seems to do it all), so kudos to her for making it happen!! She holds that store down. read more

Came by , nice set up. I was walking thru a few shops to find a few gifts. And while I enjoyed the decent vibe and helpfulness I couldn't help but notice the cheap materials and constructions on most of their merchandise. It really has nothing to do with the buyers, it's about the buyers being directed to buy cheap , low cost items. The problem with that , " it's evident." I know many come in for the evening dresses and special occasion outfits , but other than that the clothes are decent , nothing to special. I skipped the time , but I hope they get more identity driven clothes that have quality in the product. At least I'm not yelling over music like Forever 21 ! read more

The customer service is terrible. I went into this store to look for something to wear for a night out plus I like their shoes. I walked in and no one greeted me. I continued to look around and I saw the shoes I wanted and there was an associate near me and she didn't even look up. I was going to ask her for my size but i was so annoyed that I left. Why would i want to spend my money there ? Then I went back the next day on my way to work because i couldn't stop thinking about the shoes and AGAIN no one greeted me. I walked in yesterday Dec 13, 2016 into Windsor with my sister and mom. The girls work at that store in the evening looked who walked in and never greeted us. I asked for a dressed that was in the mannequin and it seemed like it bothered them to ask for help. I tried on the dress exchanged it for a different size to purchase. I walk to the register and the girl who was in charge of the register help me out. As I end up paying she gives me the dress I purchased in the most wrinkled bag she had. That's when I told her may I have a nice bag, we'll it seemed like it bothered her she made a bothered face. It seemed like they think I didn't have enough money to purchase a dress there. We'll let me tell you these girls are making less money that what I make I can purchase as many as dresses as I want. I felt unwelcome these girls to be working at a store and especially customer service they do not know how to greet customers or it seems like they greet only people that seem that have money...
