Disappointed. My fiancé and his grooms men decided to rent here from a recommendation. They went maybe two months ago or so to try on their rentals and it looked great on everyone. So we decided to move forward with renting. 9 days before our wedding my fiancé goes to pick up the tux and he tried it on and it was horrible. They gave him too long of pants, the shirt was huge and the jacket was also huge. We were confused because the suit he tried on fit nicely and this was the complete opposite. I was devastated! This put on so much stress days before our wedding! We had to wait three days for them to reorder the correct fit. Which I still don't understand why the first test one fit great and they measured him. So we come back and have to wait an hour and a half because it ended up being prom time. After waiting he tries his shirt on now it's too short! Definitely the worse choice we have made renting from here. Not to mention all our grooms men had problems as well with their sizing. Right before our wedding we now have this added on stress to find another tux on time that fits him. read more

I would never recommend Friar Tux to a friend for their wedding. At the beginning, the sales associate I worked with was on his first day. I genuinely had no issue with him; he was kind, professional, and great to work with. I gave him extra grace knowing he was still learning and would likely need support from the manager. I explained that I was getting married and wanted to set up tuxedos for myself and my groomsmen. I was fitted and told I could purchase a tuxedo that was on sale for Black Friday, which sounded like a great deal. When the associate's shift ended, the store manager took over. I completed the tuxedo purchase and then mentioned that I also wanted to get my groomsmen set up. At that point, the manager informed me that if I had not purchased the tuxedo, I would have received it for free with six groomsmen rentals. Naturally, I said I would like to return the tuxedo so we could apply that offer instead. That's when things became uncomfortable. There was a clear sense of sleaziness and misdirection. I was suddenly told that all sales were final; something that had never been explained prior to purchase. Even more concerning, the manager didn't seem to fully understand the store's own policy and attempted to blame the confusion on the sales associate who was on his first day. That should have been my red flag. I left the store, sat in my car, and looked up the return policy online; which clearly stated that sales were not final. I contacted corporate, who told me to return to the store and assured me the issue would be rectified. Thankfully, they refunded the tuxedo, and we were able to properly set up my groomsmen. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. When I received my jacket and pants, the sizing was completely off. I was told that I "must have done something wrong," even though their staff was responsible for measuring me. After going back and forth, the fit was finally corrected. Then I realized I never received any of the accessories that were supposed to come with my tux. That was my mistake for assuming everything would simply be sent as promised. On the day of my wedding, I discovered the shoes they provided were the wrong pair. I had to rush to the mall hours before my ceremony to buy the correct tuxedo shoes so I would match my groomsmen. No groom should have to deal with that level of stress on his wedding day. Communication throughout the process was equally frustrating. I sent detailed emails to the store manager outlining all of my groomsmen's information. Despite that, there were still major errors. We later discovered that my brother's tuxedo never shipped because it was mistakenly marked for in-store pickup. After I had already paid in advance for everything; including shipping; we were told we would need to pay additional shipping fees to fix their mistake. We refused, as shipping had already been covered. On top of that, he never received the socks or suspenders that were included. To say I am disappointed is an understatement. I should have trusted my instincts at the beginning when I felt the pressure and upselling tactics from the manager and taken my business elsewhere. Planning a wedding is stressful enough; your tuxedo company should not add to that stress. Unfortunately, that was exactly my experience. read more

Came in last minute for my sons choir tux update and they were super! After getting bigger pants they hemmed them in less than 30 mins leaving a large amount for him to grow into later. They even had a Black Friday sale going on and applied whichever deal was better - school or Black Friday - to our purchases. It's a long drive for us so I took another friend to get his choir tux and they did both boys at the same time with no problem. If it's prom season, I recommend an appt but they have always been very patient and timely for us. read more

Avoid this place if possible. The place is completely mature. My son recently rented a tux for prom here. When he tried it on after alterations we were both shocked. To begin with, the tux was $200 to rent, so we expected something somewhat decent, but the tux is old and the fabrics are broken down and relaxed. The tux looks dirty and smells like it has been worn to a more than a few prom and weddings. Then there's the alterations! The pants are too long and the sleeves on the jacket are way too long, almost coming to my son's thumb knuckle. Then there's the press! The press is a joke, the pants have 2 or 3 different creases in the front, and look ridiculous. The short is poorly pressed, and completely limp. I would be embarrassed to put this thing on. I should have realized what we were in for during the fitting. 100% run from this place! read more

Today we walked in- to check out the tux's options for the groomsmen (my fiancé has been working and doesn't have time) at around noon and the African American man who had orange colored hair had no interest in helping us. From the counter did he barely explain to us the difference of styles, colors, & price as we looked around the small store. He seemed bothered we were asking questions and wanted clarity. The day before my son's prom, he went for a fitting on his Tuxedo and it seems to fit little odd so I check the size and realized it was 40 Short instead of 40 Regular. My son is about 5'11". So before we told the clerk we asked for her opinion and she said it looked fine. I told her they got the wrong size and would like to get another jacket. Rather than trying to take care of the issue, they said there is nothing they can do and that we would need to go to another store to get the jacket. I've asked them if they can take care of it since it was their mistake and the other store was in Anaheim. They said no. Instead of trying to resolve the issue for one of the biggest night for my son, they told us that they can't do anything about their mistake and that we can just cancel the order or go to a different store. This was not the answer I was expecting and she just walked away to help another customer. I was really upset and another customer saw that and recommend to try Hollywood Suits couple miles away. We went and actually bought a tux for a similar price of a rental. If anyone is reading this, go and visit Hollywood Suits off Hawthorne next to Canes, you'll have better customer experience. A better looking suits for price of a rental. BTW, my son had a great time at his prom and he looked really great on his new Tux. read more

The staff at Friar Tux is amazing! Reggie and Jay assisted us. Reggie helped my son w/ the tux fitting for Prom. The level of patience Reggie demonstrated is above and beyond. Even in so far as making recommendations even tho it would require yet ANOTHER tux try on/change! Jay was equally kind and helpful as he problem solved a shoe pick up snafu without causing any worry. Jay also inquired if my son had dress socks (no) so he gave us 2 pairs (one to try on that day and one for prom) - SO NICE! This store can get quite busy yet the staff is very good at what they do. They are kind and patient which is hard to do with teenage boys!!! It's like the constant picking up of a teens room only these are the dressing rooms with all the tried on clothing on the floor or not hung back up quite right. I am only in the beginning part of my experience of renting a suit for a wedding from here so maybe this will get better? This review is mainly for the particular associate who works there on the weekends at this location. Simply put - he should not be in any customer facing position. He was very rude and clearly did not enjoy his job. First off I was only seen 30 minutes after my appointment time. At the very least if things are running behind, the main person could be friendly / pleasant but this guy is the opposite. When he finally "measured" me he didn't actually take full measurements of my pants and instead asked me to guess at my size. What's the point in getting measured if they just ask? He then said they only preset options and could not get something more specific - huh? Finally when I asked about next steps he was again rude in answering me and never clear on any steps in the process. I thought it might just be a bad day but my friend had a similar experience the next day. They half Az measured him and it was totally obvious they had no idea how to fit a suit. They were not the most polite considering it's customer service. Cool location and great staff! My review is solely on my rental quality. Ordered a tux for my friend's wedding and everything leading up to that point was great -- the fitting, etc. I did have a hiccup where they charged me at the fitting but charged the other groomsmen at pickup. Not a big deal but was interesting. Anyhow, pickup was a breeze -- tried on my tux and it fit great. We did notice a thing with the adjustment clamp on the waist area where it wouldn't let me adjust the size but the employees managed to get it to fit. I wouldn't have been able to get a new pair in time anyhow. Wedding day comes around and the clamp completely is broken/stuck (same problem but worst)...yikes! We tried and tried to get it together but ultimately I just had to figure something out. The pants at this point were too big in the waist and only adjusting one the right side clamp made them look weird and bunched together. Only solution was to get my belt and just squeeze them suckers up so they wouldn't fall. Definitely couldn't take off my jacket the entire night - people would have saw my parachute pants and I didn't want that lol. Again, great staff and no complaints with the store itself just make sure you check the quality thoroughly and if you have any doubts let it be known. Friar Tux fell right into our laps! We were at Mens Wearhouse in the process of renting a tux but we just weren't 100% sold. Out of the blue, we heard the name Friar Tux and I immediately googled it. It was just a few minutes away driving. We jumped in our car and drove straight Mens wearhouse to Friar Tux. Little did we know, our entire tux rental process would be an enjoyable and easy 30 minutes. There's is something to be said about this gem of a place.. and that is their customer service. Octavio in particular who just happened to be the store manager tended to our every need. We were pleasantly surprised with how accommodating Octavio and Friar Tux was with our length of days we needed the tux (we used the tux abroad). From the moment you step into Friar Tux, to the moment you pick up your Tux all in all, this was an enjoyable experience. **No need to dry clean your tux as this is included in your rental. My cousin had his groomsmen reservation here and I felt this was an easy in and out process. I should up a few weeks prior to the wedding for measurements and then picked up 2 days before the wedding and it was smooth. I must've gone at a good time as it was not busy. The store is a good size and have a few changing rooms for male and female which is nice. I would definitely be back here again if I need to. Parking is also really easy as there is plenty outside. I would be giving this store a 4 or even a 5 stars review but we asked that my husbands pants be lengthen a 1/2 " and low and behold they shortened them so they were 1" to short also because there was such a difficult customer before us and she was making these peoples earn their money he didn't try them on a final time. We rented a tux for my son for his homecoming dance on a Saturday. Reggie was the one who helped us. He is great, very accommodating, and made the rental process seamless. Came back on a Wednesday for a fitting, and it was Frankie who assisted us. He was rude and condescending. The button on the jacket came off when my son was trying on the tux. When my son told Frankie about it he was annoyed, I told my son that it is ok because they can fix it. So, during the fitting, I mentioned that I think the pants is too short (I'm talking to Frankie), annoyingly he walked away and took the paper with pictures that show different lengths of the pants and suddenly talked to my son (who was already intimidated by him) & showed the pictures and ignored me (so RUDE). I let it go because I said to myself maybe he was not having a good day. Had to return the tux Sunday, unfortunately, it was Frankie again that was at the store. In the short conversation I had with him, the same attitude is what I got. No customer skills whatsoever. Rude and impudent. DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS!!!! I don't think I've ever been more disappointed and frustrated at a company before. We came here as a recommendation from MY wedding venue and after everything that just went down, I will never be using Friar Tux again. I made an appointment for all my guys to get fitted. They ran an hour late and then tried to rush us out cause they were closing. Not my fault your employees were bs'ing with the group in front of us. I (the groom) wasn't even fitted that day. I was supposed to get a call from the manager Luis on when to come back that following Monday. 2 months later and I'm still waiting for the call. Only one of my groomsmen was fitted properly. Everyone else had something wrong. One of them had to go back 2 more times. THE WEEK OF MY WEDDING. And to top it off. When I put on my suit day of the wedding. I was missing my pocket square. And my best man's pocket square was the wrong color. He was supposed to match me. The people there with the exception of one nice young lady, whose name I can't remember, were all rude. It didn't seem that busy each time I went in so I have zero clue why everyone was so rude. Especially Reggie. And then I didn't get the discount for bringing my group in. I showed Luis my coupon and he basically blew it off and said "I don't even want to worry about that." I go back in to get fitted and the employee gives me the receipt. Charging me and my groomsmen full price. I questioned it and the employee said that we don't meet the minimum suits. Which no one, especially Luis, told me there was a minimum. So I tried to get my now father in law and now brother in law in the get a suit rented and as soon as they walked in they were treated like crap. The lady behind the desk basically turned her back to them. Blew them off and was just straight up rude. So they walked out and decided to take their business elsewhere. The man who fitted me did end up giving me my suit for free and gave my groomsmen a discount. Basically $5 a suit. Thank you but no. Discount should've been 20% I believe. That's not even 10%. I will NOT be returning to Friar Tux ever. I've already spoken with the venue and suggested they remove Friar Tux from their list of vendors. I will be calling the corporate office to file an official complaint. Thank you for attempting to ruin my wedding. read more

This is by far the worst suit rental place I've ever dealt with. Not only did they get my measurements wrong but the day of pickup they brought me out the wrong color suit. I couldn't even get the jacket on. I ended up having to pick up the suit the day before the wedding after all the issues. They come out with the wrong color suspenders. Luckily it was a quick fix but you gotta make sure you ask questions at this place and stay on them. The people working here could honestly care less. Someone else in the wedding didn't get the correct colored socks and my shoe broke the morning of the wedding with the sole coming apart. read more
