Part 1 Sir, it is disappointing to see you made a point to type such a negative and derogatory review towards me and our company in an anonymous manor. Based on your information we clearly know who you as well as the previous circumstances leading up to this review. Our company and myself commonly do not respond to reviews because we believe everyone has the right to their own opinions. Even though we pride ourselves in trying to give each and every customer a professional experience when making a purchase from our store, I feel it is with in our right as a company to respond in an earnest manner when all we did was try and help you the best we could. From the beginning you came to us with concerns of faulty functionality of product that you had purchased and then choose to complete the installation yourself. When you arrived at our store you made it clear you wanted us to fix or troubleshoot the installation that we did not do, and initially requested a diagnostic for free. We were very polite and clear up front that because we did not do the initial installation, that there would a charge to go into the vehicle and diagnose the issue. Commonly we charge a minimal fee of $50.00 to look at a vehicle. In you case because of your visible distress we offered to only charge you $40.00. You, were against the idea of paying for the diagnostic initially and you had made the assumption that it could ONLY be the product at fault and that you were "sold a lemon" as described in your own words. At that point in time you asked if you choose to remove the radio from the vehicle and bring only the radio for diagnostics would there still be a charged fee. We politely informed you that there would be no charge because we would not be taking apart your vehicle and would gladly test the radio for you for free. You declined to have us look at your installation and left our location driving well above the speed limit down the street. You returned no less then 10 minutes later and stated to us that you now believed that the camera was the source of all the problems. We then reiterated the diagnostics would still be a $40.00 charge to troubleshoot the issue. Again, you were still visibly upset at the idea of having to pay for the diagnostic. You asked about removing the camera from the vehicle for us to test for you and we explained to you that we would be willing to test the camera for free outside of the vehicle, but if you were to remove the camera from the vehicle and it functioned properly that would leave the possibility of the vehicle or the installation being the cause of the failure. You very reluctantly decided to pay the $40.00 to allow me to troubleshoot the camera installed in your truck, you mad a point to explain to me that you had used solder and heat shrink connections in the process of your install. You repeatedly kept asking what I thought of your installation, in which, I kindly responded I didn't think it was bad. In the process of the diagnostic I found that you had grounded the camera loosely between two metal pieces and that the "watertight" plug you had decided to use for your installation was not completely sealed and had visible signs of rust and water damage from the pins. Because of your concerns that it was not the install but the product I made a point to very politely show you these issues that were found in a very courteous way so you could see that these could be the causes to the failure of the product. The testing took me to your radio in the front of the truck for further testing. Once the radio was unmounted to do further testing it was found that your red accessory wire had lost its crimp connection from the crimp that was used and was barely maintaining connection. I made a point, to come find you to show you this so you could see that due to the fluctuation in voltage could cause the radio to malfunction and the camera to fail. Also, following the wire down the line it was found that the red accessory wire was completely pulled out of the harness and was appeared to be shoved into the plug with some tape. When asked if you knew about this your response was that "we sold it to you that way." I asked since your purchase of this harness, which was over a month ago, and/or while in the process of completing your install why you didn't simply come back and exchange the "faulty product" for another radio harness that was not damaged? You replied "because it was already in the truck." If it came directly out of the sealed packaging as you describe, this response seems illogical because why would someone install a product that you can visibly and clearly see is damaged. As a courtesy to you I made a new stable and functional connection for your accessory to the factory accessory wire for you with out further discussion or request. read more

To start off I have been looking for a good deal to get a DVD player and DVD Headrest for my car because I know my 2yr old daughter will like it(she likes Disney movies) and it will keep everyone entertained. I looked around, called around, Googled and landed on Windward Audio's pretty cool website! I also read some reviews but since I am a curious person I wanted to investigate myself and go to this store, plus it said on there website that they have a large selection. When I got there I was surprised at how big the place was and they do have the largest selection I have seen. I was greeted by a few guys so they seemed nice. After talking with them for a while about the system I wanted, they showed me to the Kenwood! That dvd player was pretty sick! It had all the bells and whistles!! I wanted it and the price was super reasonable! They gave me a better price then all the other stores I looked at. The installation was professional and clean. Also they were fast! I'd say it took less then an hour for the Kenwood system and dvd headrests. They also showed me how to use the Kenwood just to get me familiar with it! All in all I was very happy with there service, prices, Car audio selection, and there knowledge of there inventory. I would definitely go back there again and i have already told a bunch of friends where I got my dope DVD player system! Ask for Joe or Tim! More importantly both my wife and daughter love the fact they can watch movies in the car!! Try them out, you might find the perfect system for your car. :) read more

i took my 2011 Hyundai gensis coupe in to them...been there before...and this experience was excellent!! Joe, was very, very helpful and accomodating! people have to understand that this IS a business...not a 1 stop discount shop! He helped me with some problems that i had had from an installation just the day before in Kailua. He was always willing to help...friendly. . . and as the time went by, very trusting. I just got my car audio and alarm system done about two weeks ago, I did my research and knew what i wanted went to three shops and all seemed to try and sell me what they wanted and not what I wanted. I knew I wanted a Rockfordfosgate system. I went on a search and shopped all around and to my surprise alone i was just so in baffled how much some of there shops were trying to charge me. I walked in and spoke with a Gentlemen I think his name was Joe, he had a wide selection of Rockfordfosgate products at prices way lower than the other shops I went to. Just the amp alone he was two hundred dollars cheaper than any other shop. He gave my good deal as package deal and I got everything installed. John was the installer that assist the install team and was very good at what he does. I was overall very pleased with the system and the customer service and the four hundred and thirty dollar price difference I saved on the whole system. I was aware of some of the negative reviews but I am glad I gave them a shot. One negative is the parking is kinda tight and at times they get really busy. I (Ed Jeffrey Coloma) recently had a whole stereo system installed on 3/30/18 Friday in my white Scion XB. Tim helped me select and gave me quotes on different stereo components to choose from. Very knowledgeable, patient and easy to communicate with. He made a complete package deal for a reasonable price that fit my budget. I was very pleased and happy on the installation they did in my car. My car sounds are very nice. I returned again this year due to the fact that I had an AWESOME experience. They have EXCELLENT customer service. I had the pleasure of working with Tim. He helped me out with everything, last year and this year. I don't know much about car stereo systems or radio systems etc. but I put my trust in Tim and his expertise in not only giving me a good deal and something worth my money but also a product that is at its best quality as well. Also, if there is any problem of some sort [like if somethings not working] they will help correct it no questions ask. Even if it's just asking a question like for example "how do I connect the Bluetooth again"or "how do I get my remote start to work". I searched high and low to find a shop that is knowledgeable with working on a car like mine. I walked in was shocked to how big of a selection of audio equipment they had on hand. I was greeted by Tim and Dan the head installer that i came to find out that Dan was nominated as one of the Top 50 INSTALLERS IN THE NATION. I was pleased with experience he had working on a Porsche and the pictures of the many cars he had done. I worked with Dan and Tim to put a system together for me and felt confident with what they talked about and dropped off my key s the next day. Three days later Tim calls me and tells me to come down and check out my new sound system, I got there and was happy with the detail of workmanship that Dan the crew put in and the amazing sound system I am very pleased with all the work and would only trust this shop to work on all my cars. I called around and after looking at reviews I decided to stop in a few shops for pricing and information about what options were available. After visiting many shops, I ended up at Windward Audio and after the salesman spent some time going over what was available for my car, I scheduled my appointment on the spot. The store was clean and organized and the prices were where I needed to be with my budget. When my car was completed and I came to pick it up, the installer who worked my car showed me how to operate everything and made sure all of my questions were answered. This place "SUCKS BIG TIME!!!!" don't go there unless you want to get "RIPPED OFFED!!!" They're good at conning you to buy while they're screwing you in the... as they smile. Their friendly when you buy and install your stereo (still when you find out later that it's not the one you requested and that you paid to much for) and when you go back to ask a question the very next day they'll pretty much say F__K OFF with a smile. So do your home work first before you decide if you want to get SCREWED!!! or not. I came to this shop looking to change my speakers and to add and alarm in to my VW Golf, I walked in the shop and instantly was amazed by how much of products they had in stock. So I walked and spoke to Tim which he showed my the different brands of speakers they carry and the prices. I asked what kind of alarm systems they had and he showed me Viper which they had on sale. So after TIm explained the different features I decide to purchase the Viper Alarm and Alpine speakers, I drop of my car at 1:30 by 4:00 I received a call saying my car was done.
