I was in contact regarding a motorcycle for sale for 2 weeks and had a set time to visit the bike confined x2 the week preceding the last email contact 3 days prior to the visit. They knew I'd be driving a few hours to test drive and I had communicated I would be ready to purchase. I show up and I'm told they sold the bike 4 days ago. What a ridiculous way to treat a possible customer. Instead of looking at the few other bikes I had thought about there I will never spend a dime at a place that cannot treat customers with respect. Windy City Motorcycles has this exact bike, and I don't want to wait 3 months to have it built by BMW. Getting these guys to respond is difficult. You have to keep following up. And they make you feel like they completely don't care about your business. I just want to pick up my bike this weekend and GTFO of there. Hope it's quick. I was looking to get a new bike and while shopping around I came across Windy City International. I inquired about a bike I was interested in and within an hour, Logan from Windy City was emailing me. Shortly after I received a call from Tyler. I let him know what I was looking for and they gave me a price I felt was fair, so I went in the next day. The entire buying process was positive, warm, and welcoming. I was very happy with Tyler, Ryan, and Samantha as the process took shape. We left the store and on the way home the bike continued to die. Being a brand new bike we thought that the bike needed the running in period to properly seat and seal, however it became apparent that this was more than a running in issue. Once the bike was warmed up it would die consistently once the clutch was engaged. After looking up various issues with the Triumph Trident it was stated there was an issue with the MAP sensor and the RPM would drop to 0, thus killing the engine. I contacted the Service Department at Windy City and was told to drop of the bike anytime, which I did. A week later I contacted them because I still hadn't heard from anyone. Kenzie stated that the technician was successful in mimicking the issues and that they would be getting Triumph involved as this was under warranty. Week after week I had to follow up with the service department for updates and information. Week 5, I was told that Triumph would be sending the replacement part necessary to fix the bike. I called the following week to see if the part had come in and was informed that Triumph was not accepting the warranty request due to a box not being checked. Once I called back on week 7, I was informed that the part was not expedited and would be another 2 to 3 weeks. I then attempted to contact the Sales Manager, Ryan, and the General Manager, Travis, via email as no one has a direct phone line. I received an auto response from both of them asking me to contact the dealership regarding the bike I was interested in. I was done at this point. I had spoken with John 1 last time and let him know that this was unacceptable that I would be asking for a replacement bike or my money back. He called me back within half an hour to let me know that the part would be there within the week. So I waited and this time, I did get a call 4 days later to pick up my bike. 9 weeks without my brand new bike. I can appreciate the staffing shortages and supply chain issues, however I really feel that this was not a priority because it was a warrantied issue. I did get the bike back and its running, but I am very disappointed with both Triumph and the dealership and I don't feel that I would buy again from either based on the service I received. read more

They said it's illegal to finance for someone else, yet made me wait 3 weeks after insisting on trying. Took forever to get rolling and out of there. Ross is a nice guy, I just think the other staff made it hard for him to deliver. And it resulted in crazy time loss. read more

I ordered a fuel pump gasket for my '07 Daytona 675 on May 21st....they said it should be in within a week, but they would call me to confirm. I waited and waited but never got a call from them. Took my wife's Vespa and my Suzuki Burgman in for oil changes a several weeks back. Went to move my Burgman and noticed oil leaking under it. Today I finally had time to get it back in. On the way home I noticed the handlebar plug on right hand side was crooked and falling out. After further inspection it was obvious they knocked it over. In addition to the plug I now have scratches and scrapes on the mirror, side pannel and muffler. When I called, they denied anything happened when they had it. I"m sure it was not intentionally done but THEY SHOULD OWN UP TO THE DAMAGE THEY CAUSED. I can no longer recommend this establishment. read more

Purchased a 2018 Aprilia in the summer of 2019. Bike comes with a 2-year warranty. In summer of 2020 when I was having issues with the bike, this place made me pay out of pocket for the repairs!! When I asked why and disputed this with the service manager he said "The bike has a 2 year warranty. Its a 2018 and its 2020 now." He was a real piece of work (like most are) since again I bought the 2018 model year bike brand new in 2019. That is not how warranties work. (Even their own employees were scratching their heads hearing about this.) Spoke to the GM a few days later, who said he would look into it. Of course he never contacted me. They got my money then, but never again will I take it to them. Huge dealership that should be ashamed of the way they treat their customers. read more

Don't bother unless you're a retiree looking for a Harley. We went looking for a Royal Enfield Interceptor, found one, then had to look around for 10 minutes to find someone to help us. Finally an older guy showed up and didn't know anything about the bike. I got the answers to our questions about it on google before he could mutter something noncommittal. He clearly didn't want to help us since the first chance he had he left to go deal with other people. Gave my wife the classic sexist condescension as well, which I thought was really bold considering I was there to back her up. She loved the bike; even though it was a little tall for her, she would have been able to deal with it if she'd been able to ride it and fall in love with it. But I guess we just didn't measure up to this "salesman's" standards somehow? This isn't an isolated incident, either - we stopped by a year and a half ago and got the elitist treatment. I purchased a brand new motorcycle from them a year ago. A new Triumph Daytona 675. This season the oil pan gasket started leaking with less than 3000 miles on the bike. I brought the bike for services and this is were all the fun began!!! 1st since the bike was under warranty I guess nobody was motivated to actually work on the bike because it took 3 weeks to get back!!!! Hold on; there is more! I brought the bike in with the fairings off because I thought it would help move things along since I was told there was only one mechanic in the shop period. When I came to pick the bike back up not only did they not want to put the fairings back on but these sorry MF didn't even turn off the check engine light. I purchased my motorcycle with cash and no financing and as soon as it was purchased was were the excellent service STOPPED! Worst experience EVER with a motorbike shop and I would advise EVERYONE to take their business someplace else!!!!!!!!!!! Don't say I didn't warn you!!!! read more

I just walked out of this place after buying my first bike and they couldn't have made the process any easier. The test ride was great, I had the option to just ride around the quiet side streets since I'm not super comfortable on busy streets yet, and the manager JB and salesmen Corey were very accommodating. JB gave me a card for a female riding group and some excellent tips on first time riding which I thought was super thoughtful! When it came to actually buying the bike I got a great deal and a very upfront out-the-door price that didn't leave me wondering where the price was coming from, and I was signed and done with the paperwork within 20 minutes, if that. I am very pleased with my purchase from Windy City Triumph and wouldn't hesitate to buy a motorcycle from them again. I would give them 4 1/2 stars if I could. I've lowered my original 5 star rating due to a couple minor issues that happened after the sale. So consider my rating as 4 1/2 stars. First, the transaction was smooth as silk. My salesman, Michele Barsanti, and the General Manager, JB Bussert were great! They were courteous and respectful and, most importantly, they were not high-pressure. (If they had been high-pressure, I would have simply walked out.) Buying a car, truck, or motorcycle can be a pain sometimes but these folks actually made the experience enjoyable. It was a pleasure to deal with them. Now, there are a couple things that came up that made me decide to lower my original rating a bit but they certainly wouldn't discourage me from dealing with Windy City Triumph again. The first involves vouchers worth $400 towards the purchase of Triumph accessories that I was supposed to receive a few weeks after the sale. After about seven weeks I had still not received them so I emailed Windy City Triumph but received no response. I then contacted Triumph USA and they informed me that Windy City had failed to send in the paperwork to generate the vouchers and that it was too late for them to do so. Triumph USA then handled that but there were bugs in their system and it took a couple weeks for the vouchers to work. However, I have to say that the folks at Triumph USA were incredibly nice and helpful. They're great people to deal with. When JB Bussert saw my updated review, he was concerned enough to contact me which tells me he really cares about customer satisfaction. He said that they had sent in the paperwork. He may be right because Triumph was having bugs in their system at the time. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt about that. However, once he knew about the problem, it would have been nice if he helped me straighten it out. As it was, I had to exchange emails, make several phone calls, and use and online chat to straighten the voucher problem out and it took a couple weeks to get it done. There was also a problem with getting responses to emails that I sent to Windy City. I was told that they were switching to another server because of problems they were having with email and I believe that explanation because, on one or two occasions, I got a call that made it clear that, for some reason, they hadn't received an email from me. For example, one phone message asked me why I hadn't responded to an email from them but I had responded. Clearly they were having problems with their email and that probably explains why they didn't respond to my email asking about the vouchers. But there is one thing that I am disappointed about and this is why I am giving 4 1/2 stars instead of 5. A few days after taking delivery of the bike I checked the tire pressure. The front is supposed to be 36 pounds. It was 18 pounds. I had to increase the pressure 100% to get it at the proper pressure. (I have a very high-end and accurate dial pressure gauge.) The rear tire was supposed to at 41 pounds but it was at 25 pounds. Those pressures not only affected handling but they could be unsafe. Clearly, the bike wasn't prepped thoroughly. Fortunately, the fluids were at correct levels. All-in-all, dealing with Windy City Triumph was a pleasure and I hope to do more business with them in the future. read more

I found that windy city motorcycles are underhanded and lires. not to mention opening themselves up for a lawsuit for fraud. while talking to JD he up the price of the motorcycle we were talking about 5000 dollars. that doesent make happy customers. I purchased a Triumph bike for my husband for his birthday. I found the bike I wanted online and worked with Michele at the dealership. Michele was wonderful! Pricing was fair and he took care of all the financing paperwork for me, as it was difficult for me to keep driving back to the dealership. Since this was a surprise gift, the dealership even delivered the bike for free. So far service has been great and everyone from sales to finance made the whole process easy. I just stopped in to check out the bikes and get an idea for what they look like in person since Triumph isn't as large a brand. They have tons of bikes all over, in large part because it's shared with Harley Davidson, and the building is quite nice. I was immediately greeted by Corey, who walked me through Triumph's lineup and shared tons of useful information. I haven't made a purchase here (yet), but I will definitely be back once the Street Twins roll out. read more

I was happy with the sale. The salesman and manager were very nice and weren't pushy at all. The deal was smooth. I am however, a bit disappointed with a couple things. I was supposed to get a $400 voucher good towards Triumph accessories from Triumph per an offer they had when I bought the bike. The salesman and manager said I would receive the voucher from Triumph in a few weeks. When about seven weeks had passed, I contacted the salesman (a nice guy!) to ask about the voucher but he never got back to me. I then contacted someone at Triumph USA who helped me with something else after the sale. He informed me that, unfortunately, Windy City Triumph never sent in the paperwork for the voucher and it was too late for them to do it. Luckily, Craig from Triumph USA, who has been really helpful, said he would take care of it immediately if I sent him a copy of the voucher. I have one other minor complaint. A few days after getting the bike (a 2015 Triumph Rocket III Touring ABS), I checked the tire pressure. The front tire was supposed to be 36 pounds but it was only 18 pounds (cold). That's 100% off!!! The rear tire was supposed to be 41 pounds but it was 25 pounds. Clearly the guy who was supposed to do the setup never even bothered to check the tire pressure. One other very minor thing: When I bought the bike I also purchased some oil filters. The guy who I think is the service manager informed me that if I changed my own oil, I not only had to use oil that met or exceeded the required oil specs (of course!), but it had to be the same brand that Triumph recommened. My wife was there and another parts guy was there too when he said that and everyone was surprised, including the other parts guy. I asked him to confirm that what he said was true and he said it was. When I talked to him a couple weeks later, he denied that he ever said it but not only did he say it but he said it twice and three people heard it. BTW, you don't have to use any particular brand of oil. It just has to meet the specs Triumph specifies. Also, when I talked to him the second time, it was to ask if a helmet I ordered for my wife had come in. We had ordered it a couple weeks before when we bought the bike. It was in but nobody bothered to call me. So - I was happy with the purchase but things have happened since that don't encourage me to have much faith in the store. read more
