I had some down time in JT and I wanted to do something else besides eat and I had already had seen a lot of the art installations around town and a lot of the other shops I wanted to check out were closed during the week. The shop was a like a Joshua Tree-ified bodega, they had snacks and drinks and some gifts but with a JT vibe. I liked they had individual cans of beers were local-ish, surprised I didn't see more from the Coachella valley and their wine selection seemed pretty good. The snacks definitely had that JT, out their vibe, which didn't really interest me. However, the smiling alien out front is cute and the staff definitely didn't mind browsers. read more

Great little Wine & Rock Shop in Joshua Tree! They have a great variety of wines & craft beers. They also have some deals on their discounted wines. It's nice to have a better selection in Joshua Tree compared to going to one of the nearby grocery stores. They may look closed from the outside but they are open! read more

This is a really cool store but I would describe it more as a 'Joshua-Tree-Vibe Gift Shop' with food & wine since they didn't really have many rocks. ----Instead check out the "Joshua Tree Rock Shop" if you're interested in rocks since they honestly have hardly any here. This shop was super neat though so still worthy of 5 stars because I was able to buy a bunch of gifts to take home to my kids and husband. They have a good selection of gifts for both kids and for adults. They also have a wide variety of unique & ethnic food and drink to buy which was fun (in addition to their wine selection). read more

This place is a GEM! Really enjoyed stopping by here while in Joshua Tree. The women on the floor have great recommendations for the natural wines they carry. They've also carried some really unique bottles from Hungary (where you disgorge it yourself!). They have other curated goods to gift to others or treat yourself (tea, housewares, fancy condiments). Worth making a visit if you're in the area! Will be back again when I'm in JT :) read more

This is my favorite shop in the world??? They have a wonderful selection of small batch wines - not to mention rocks, snacks, skincare, and other fun knickknacks. Be prepared to hand over all your money. I also love that they have a cooler with chilled beer, wine, & CBD drinks for when you're on the go! Staff is always super pleasant and helpful. A zillion stars for Wine & Rock Shop! Get ready to bust out your wallet and hand over all of your money for their rad selection of crystals, fun wine, and cool tchotchkes. This place is great for treating yourself or stocking up on host gifts, fancy skin care, cool house stuff, and wine (duh). They stock some great bottles and even have a few wines/beers that are already chilled onsite (extra handy in the desert). I thoroughly enjoyed a bottle of Subject to Change's Method Ancestral Sparkling Wine and may or may not have consumed the entire bottle that night. No shame in my vacay wine game. My fiancé purchased three crystals and was impressed with what they had on hand as well as with the signs with descriptions. He grew up in a metaphysical bookstore and knows way more than me in that department. Parking isn't an issue (it's not LA) and the gal working onsite was really kind and friendly. Like a lot of places in the area this shop keeps interesting hours and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so definitely make sure to check before heading their way. read more

Really great wine shop that literally just opened in Yucca Valley. A small but mighty selection of wine at the moment, but more to be added. The wines are from boutique wineries from what I can tell. In my experience,you can never go wrong with small wine producers. They also carry candles as well as crystals and wine accessories. The location is ideal in my view. Just off of 29 Palms Hwy right before you get into Joshua Tree. My wife and I spoke to the owners and they have big plans for the place and I have no doubt they will succeed. This is a magical place to stumble upon! After a long day exploring in Joshua Tree we had decided to stop by Pie For The People!, located just across the street, for dinner. The wait for our pizza was a little long so we decided to cross the street and visit the Wine & Rock Shop. You are greeted by the extraterrestrial before walking in, which I felt added some spunk to what I already knew was going to be a fun experience. As soon as you walk in they have an eclectic collection of goods for purchase and it was so much fun browsing through all of the knick knacks. The wine selection is top notch too! They have a small, but equally as good, selection of craft beers to browse that are in a fridge. We bought a bottle of wine and a couple of cold beers to enjoy with our pizza. The woman working the register was very friendly and the experience was so pleasant. I already can't wait to go back and browse some more on my next trip to Joshua Tree! I highly suggest you pay a visit to this very special location whenever you pass by. read more

Wonderful shop - they have a great selection of random things you didn't know you needed. Great little place to find unique gifts and wine. I was able to get all but one final gift here. Its clean, quaint, and a new jewel to have in Yucca Valley. The cashier/owner did say she was going to a gem show and will expand her selection of rocks to include pendants. So I will most definitely be coming back. read more

This place was recommended to us by the owner of our AirB&B Sarah, and they did not disappoint! They may not have a lot of wine to choose from, but all the wines they have is just what you would want and need. They have a couple of wines of the great Sonoma Valley and also a couple of wines from different places. Aside from wines, they have a lot of different stuff too, from Crystals, Books about Crystals, Bags, Snacks, Towels and Mugs! This place should be on your "go to's" list if you're around the area! read more

We moved to Southern California from NYC, and this store definitely brings the New York boutique style to the area. It's charming, stylish, and has a great variety of wines and merchandise. And while the breakfast sando was light and all alone on the plate, the way the mayo fused the flavors together was delicious. But I do wish the beverage fridge had prices listed so I wasn't surprised at the register. The restaurant, while it's a bit tricky to find on the side of a building, inside is a modern space. It's spotless and very clean. The aesthetic is minimalist and if it were just you, it could feel a bit cold, if not for the steady buzz of activity behind the counter. There were three staff members who moved swiftly. As I watched I was impressed with their efficiency as the kept things running smoothly. When we entered an hour before closing, we made the mistake to sit and pause to look over the menu. It was a mistake because it seemed like the front door kept swinging open as wave after wave of hungry visitors poured in. My guess is these folks were all returning from Joshua Tree National Park. In fact, it felt like nearly everyone there had just come from the park. The business concept appears thoughtfully geared toward travelers, particularly those with a bit of disposable income and a discerning palate. Overall, this is a certified foodie stop: quality over quantity: taste over filling up.

A very cordial, pleasant, and kind young lady working there just the other day. A surprisingly lovely glazed donut I might say. But I kept looking around there thinking "in a small town like this how can they even sell enough donuts to keep this joint open but they obviously do". I could think of some simple things that could be added, but I wouldn't want to give away my secrets. All throughout the United States there are donut shops that have the same recipe apparently, not sure how that works? A lot of them are Asian run in the San Francisco area. I always laughed at the signs that would say "Donuts and Chinese Food" before walking in I would always say to myself: "Nothing like a good egg fu yung jelly doughnut"! Yeah, this spot could use a little more hipness for just spending a few dollars on some paint and artwork, etc. there would probably be a line more often. I don't know. I wasn't there on a weekend. Also, the beautiful new laundromat or remodeled laundromat next-door should really be a good revenue source for the hungry laundry goer....... But certainly grab a doughnut. They're very tasty. So keep heading up the road a bit to Joshua Tree as there are many cute little shops in the three block area there which I guess is called downtown Joshua Tree? I really dig all the new modern prefabs that are popping up which appeared to be primarily Airbnb joints(?)- a lot of style man! Yeah, I'll be back. I met some really cool people in that couple of blocks. If you haven't been there then hop in your car and drive up there right now and get yourself a nice little jelly doughnut...... "Thank ya. At 2 bucks and change it was just fine and a fair value. Glass case and pink boxes, you would think that's charming, it's not. The decor is firmly stuck in the 70s but not in that mid century stylish way. The laundromat nexr store was freshened and modernized recently. Some thought and about 15k could offer much needed updates. Don't change your cashier though, she was wonderful.
