We were a party of 8. 4 kids and 4 adults. The kids thoroughly enjoyed a thin crust cheese pizza but they had several other kid friendly items. We tried the arugula salad, several pizzas, meatballs, wings, steak and frites, polenta...all amazing!! So Good. The service was excellent, the owner was friendly and came to check on us. Great place, great wines, great service. Maybe a bit expensive. I didn't know any of the of the vineyards, except the barolo, but the wines I tasted were all excellent. Kudos to the sommelier. It is no exaggeration I think I've been to this place at least 1000 times I have been living in Laguna Beach for five years now and frequent this place at least once a week so you do the math yes I think I am exaggerating now but I think that gives you a good clue as to how many times I've been to this place I think it is been very bad of me not to have posted a review before about the wine gallery because honestly the atmosphere and ambience the people the bartenders are just phenomenal absolutely great but I got to tell you what is the reason why I come down here once a week and that is because I've never had a better pizza outside of Italy than here at the wine gallery; their margarita pizza is just the best!!! and you've got to try their beer selection which usually changes but you're always in for a great surprise! Yelp came through once again! Staying in Laguna overnight for business and decided I wanted a burger for dinner so I Yelped and read the review that described a people friendly wine selection, saw a photo of a beautiful burger sitting on the chopping board so this had to be the place. The decor blended wood, brick and marble which created a lounge that said "come in and stay a while" so I did! Derek the (bartender) and Chris (owner) were easy going and friendly. The doors opened six years ago and from my experience I understand why this establishment is still going strong. Derek gave me a tasty Cabernet to occupy my time while I waited for the burger from the photo. It was like the photo came to life because before I knew it the burger was be served and the photo DON'T lie! The combination of ingredients and layers worked really well. Sweet caramelized onion, aioli, aged cheddar and arugula with a balsamic dressing gave the burger that salty N sweet flavor. The fries were crisp, delicious and when dipped in the truffle ketchup....you heard me....TRUFFLE KETCHUP my dining experience was complete!!! If you're looking for a snappy casual night out and some really good food and wine give spot a try. You'll be happy you did!!! read more

The selection of wines by the glass, half glass and bottle was extensive and impressive and they have a variety of interesting beers too (would love to just see one stout or porter on tap). We had the bruschetta special which was fantastic! Really creative combination of cucumber, olives, feta and artichoke. They must make their own bread, because it was incredibly fresh. I was impressed by the extensive menu (can't wait to try some of the vegetables and the pizza looks and smells unbelievable) and the warm and knowledge staff. Ok, so my wife and I (an occasionally kids) have been coming here for the last couple years - we found it shortly after we moved to SoCal. Just have to say it is our go to place. There are restaurants you go to say you've been there (La Bernadin - it was amazing no question), There are restaurants you go to because they are the best at what they do (Joe's Kansas City BBQ - make sure you eat there before you die) and there are restaurants you go to because well - your on vacation (The Bubble Room - yes Captiva Island is amazing). The Laguna Beach Wine Gallery is a place you go to for all of these reasons but mostly because you feel at home. The food is varied and consistent - great pizza's, great brussels sprouts, great dessert, Wine selection is modest but broad - not pretentious or showy - something for everyone's taste without needing to prove itself. Try Chris's Mile 216 Pinot - our favorite. The wait staff, shout out to Bridget and Alyssa, and owner Chris are classy, poised and engaging. Atmosphere is relaxing and calming, a place for locals and those not so local. It's a great third space, make it a habit. read more

We just moved to Laguna Beach and decided to go to all the restaurants within walking distance. The Wine Gallery was a fabulous surprise. It was the perfect blend of a neighborhood restaurant and brilliant food. The owner and staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and the food is excellent - The prices are reasonable as well.
