Came here on a date. Parking can be tricky and it's 1 mile from pch area where all the action is. However, the ambiance and wine and food options are great. I tried the meatballs and short rib taco. I had a glass of the prosecco which was refreshing and yummy. It wasn't too loud so this is highly recommended for a date spot. Next time I want to try their fresh pizzas! Nice addition to Laguna. The wine was very good. Particularly liked the carafes of wine from the kegs. These were very tasty and a bit more cost effective. The pizza was wonderful. This is a really cute little wine bar, with a very laid-back vibe. Lots of locals, live music (at least when we were there at 7pm), extensive wine list (duh), and more food options than I expected. We got the daily bruschetta (with pear slices and pistachios and goat cheese) and french fries to share. I got the kale salad for my entree (a bit overdressed and underwhelming, but okay). They have 5 or 6 beers on tap and a couple bottled options. The bartender was very friendly and nice. Prices seem a bit high for such a casual-feeling place, but it is Laguna Beach. read more

We were excited to try this place, although from the outside and the name/font, you'd never guess it's a restaurant. The ambiance is warm, the woodfired pizza's are great, the wines are really overpriced (but a great selection.) I would give this place another star except for the fact that after commenting to our waitress that the tiny meal was great but expensive, she said, 'oh, you should check out our happy hour! we discount the pizza and the wines! it's monday through friday!' and we repeated her, 'oh really? every monday through friday?' and she said, 'yeah, every monday through friday!' So we promptly booked a sitter and planned a mini happy hour date for Monday....... and it's closed on Monday! Thanks uniformed waitress! WOW WOW WOW, this place was a great find. We stopped in here for some wine before dinner reservations for a friend's birthday. I called ahead and they were able to reserve table for a party on nine. This place is not huge so if you have a big party, there is only one large table here so be sure make a reservation!). We started with two bottles of celebratory prosecco and numerous appetizers, including the pizza. All the food we had was amazing! The wine selection is good with fair prices. I've had their Pizza I've had their brussel sprouts I've had there meat and cheese platters but today I tried their hamburger OMG.... super tasty juicy extremely flavorful accompanied by some really good french fries and their own ketchup. I love the wine gallery. I originally went to the CDM one which is quite a different feel from this one, and was excited to try the new location. Lots of fabulous wines and the food was super tasty!! The beer selection was decent, the best they had on tap was Sculpin for $7. I am not as educated on wine, but the glass I had was good and it cost about $6. It was a small and quaint bar scene. Who said a tiger can't change their stripes? Well, this one goes out to all my loved ones who think I'm too stubborn to change my ways. But the truth is, I am updating my review to let those of you paying attention that I stand corrected. The Wine Gallery has made amends and I have become a fan. They have changed the hours, it is easier for me to be a patron now and although I have not been more than couple times, I like what I see. I admit, I tried the sliders and it was not very good, sort of a meatball between too much bread, but the other food looks appealing enough to go back and try more. The beers are great. I love that they have embraced craft/micro brews and have a flair for the locals. I like the wine options. My hubby was impressed by the wine taps that seem to be popping up all over the place. There was live music the night we went and I love the community tables. I admit my desire for more and hope to become more enamored with the food that looks great. I the mean time, I'll take another Cismontane Mesa! read more

Norcal style wine bar on the southern side of Laguna Beach. A quick look at the menu tells you this place is a winner. Great wine selection, good service, top quality food. Chris took time to greet us even though we were being served very well and the place was heaving with happy customers. The highlights were an expertly chosen entry level Pinot suggested by our server that married the wild mushroom polenta just a marvel. Excellent service and food. Pricey though. Our hotel owner (Seaside Laguna Inn & Suites) recommended this place. We were able to walk in on a Saturday night at 8:30 and get the best table - near the door, people watching and got to watch the A's playoff game playing on a couple of TVs. Wine is pricey but awesome choices/tastes. We ordered 2 carafes of wine (1-1/2 glasses each carafe ($14 ea - ouch), small plates - 2 orders of beef sliders, pomme frittes with 3 sauces (the truffle catsup is ooh lala), scallops and a wedge salad, apple crumble dessert. Hubs and I shared all. Bill was over $100. Not some place we'd go to on a regular basis but was a great experience. Some folks dressed up, we were casual and fit right in. read more

I went on my first date with my fiance here. Warm and classy ambience without the pretentiousness. The owner and manager go out of their way to welcome you and cater to your needs. I finally got around to writing this review after half a dozen trips here. They know how to treat their customers and put great care into creating a seasonal fresh menu. I know this is the Wine Gallery and all but the food is legit! It holds it's own with the other Laguna Beach long established culinary gems along Coast Hwy. Chef Josh Mason has an extraordinary palate and I have never been let down with any of his specials. Tonight we ordered the pork chop and it was indeed special. Totally different form their Corona del Mar location. The expanded menu plays well from the one they have in CdM. The pizzas are great, especially the pear and gorgonzola. The laid back atmosphere and knowledgeable staff make you feel comfortable. They don't take themselves to seriously, but they do take the wine and food to a higher level. You can roll in there in a t shirt and rainbows or suit and tie and you will fit in. Try the "mile 216" pinot noir that one of the owners Chris, you can find him there all the time, has perfected. read more

We went to Wine Gallery last night for a Dragonette wine pairing dinner. It was five incredible courses of amazing food paired with wines from our favorite winery up in Los Olivos in the Santa Barbara area. Overall it was a great experience with wonderful food and service. The owner was there and very generous and genuinely happy to serve and offer up advice as far as wines and even wineries to go visit. I will recommend this place to friends and family and I know my boyfriend and I will be back. read more

After realizing at 6:45 on New Year's Eve that we had no place to go, we frantically called the Wine Gallery. They were incredibly accommodating, and found us a table for two right away. They even made some adjustments to their prix fixe menu because of food allergies and dietary considerations for us, which almost never happens when you have one pescetarian and one lactose-intolerant diner. The food was very good, if not terribly adventurous (which is understandable, given that it was New Year's Eve and a prix fixe). The dining room was nice, and very romantic - the perfect place to go on a date. Overall, it was a wonderful experience - the only reason I am not giving it five stars is because the beer menu was not very extensive, and the dining room was echoey, which wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact that there was a very loud and slightly drunk group right next to us. Came here for the first time on a Friday night. The ambiance is nice, walls lined with wine bottles and the ceiling appears to be made out of pallets. We had no trouble getting seats at the bar at about 530pm, but the restaurant did begin to fill up around 7pm. We had 2 glasses each of a cab and shared a pizza. They had $2 off glasses and a couple pizzas were $7 for happy hour. It was a great deal in my opinion. The pizza was very good, very thin crust and flavorful right from their wood fired pizza oven. There is not much of a kitchen from what I could tell, just the pizza oven behind the bar and a prep area. I echo the feelings of others when I have to take away stars for not having a bathroom. The bathroom is a single stall that is unisex, so there can be a line and it wasn't very clean. We found parking on PCH, but it appears that there is an underground parking structure. I would try parking there next time we go. Positive points: Ambiance was nice. No live music, so we could easily have a conversation. Pizza was very good. Bartender was pleasant. Reasons for taking away stars: The wine list is pretty limited for a place called "Wine Gallery". Public restroom. Our bill was incorrect and had to be rerung. read more

Let me tell you about the creamsicle...DANKKKKK..I haven't creamed this hard in my pants since I got my first lap dance at davincis strip club in Bradenton Florida when I was 16 (shoutout to sky vodka). I hadn't seen cream like this since my last powder day in Jackson Wyoming when I had to use a snorkel to breathe because of the pure fucking madness that is the La Niña storm cycle. With this beer you experience pure euphoria. It's like sex and powder days poured in a glass to create the ultimate cream machine. I can't wait for my fucking pizza. read more
