I loved the atmosphere, super comfortable and the decor was half antique, half modern. I was looking for something quieter, but that night there was a party there and the place was packed. Anyway, I found a seat at the bar, and the bartender was super friendly and helpful. After a beer, I ordered - The Grander burger for $18. I never eat a whole burger, but this one was so delicious that I ate it. The fries were perfect, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The service was great; the bartender constantly checked in on me even though the place was busy. They have a huge variety of whiskey for whiskey lovers, which is not my case.
We had a wonderful time enjoying the lovely delicacies of the Whiskey Neat! They had a wonderful whiskey selection with some of the best old fashioned that I have had in Fort Lauderdale. They also have other drinks for the non whiskey drinkers which are delicious! The service is what sealed the deal for us. Brandon was awesome in delivering exquisite service while making tasteful drinks behind the bar! 10/10 for whisky drinkers in Fort Lauderdale. The food was really good and comes from Quarterdeck next door.
Always a 5 experience. The best staff, the best selection, the best patrons and the best location! Food is always spot on and the music is just right... If you need a happy hour locale, every hour is happy here!
My first time visiting Patchougue and this place did not disappoint. The happy hour. Off the chart. Omg. Best I have ever seen. The scene young and old so I did not feel too old Staff got swarmed so understood forgot my drink but the bartender came over when we were leaving to apologize. What a great kid!!! I'll be back for sure. Thanks great service. And the deviled eggs never see that on the menu was banging. Thanks
Coming back home to Florida , you want to grab a drink at a chill spot , this is the place . Great for couples for an intimate date, with inside seating & great for a chill night with friends on the outside seating . There's great options with drinks and some even included mocktails , which is always a plus for a bar to have .
Came here for pre dinner drinks and so glad to have found this location! Tremendous selection of bourbon. Bartender said 170+ selections!! Notebook of selections very clear and pricing clear as well. They share a kitchen so we were able to order a few appetizers. All excellent. Tremendous service and drinks very well made! Absolutely will return.
My boyfriend is a huge whisky lover, so this spot was a must-visit while we were in town--and it absolutely did not disappoint! With hundreds of variations, it's a paradise for aficionados, but also surprisingly welcoming if you're looking to expand your palate. The atmosphere is top-notch: think warm, cozy vibes, dimmed lights, and a beautiful fire pit outside. Even though I'm not typically a dark liquor drinker, Nicky (our server) was incredible. She curated a 10/10 custom drink for me based on my preferences. The service was top-tier, and I can honestly say I left as a new whisky convert. We had such an amazing night!
Hubby's a whiskey lover; so we thought we'd stop in for a drink at Whiskey Neat on Valentine's night. It is kind of off the beaten path; but seems to be well known by the locals. There were people scattered around inside and on the patio. It shares a the patio with Quarterdeck and it has casual seating, lit-up trees, and a fire pit.. Whiskey Neat has a more intimate and upscale vibe. There is a ladder wall full of every kind of all whiskey. There are high tops and some cozy couches in addition to the bar area. I especially loved the "fireplace" displayed over the bar. We found a high top inside and were quickly approached by a waiter. I ordered an Irish Mule, and my husband ordered a signature old-fashioned called "Dark Side of the Moon." It was made with Basil Hayden Dark Rye, aromatic bitters, brown sugar cube and a filthy cherry. He loved it! ($16). I had an Irish Mule which I really enjoyed as well. This is a great place for whiskey lovers, (although they have a full bar with all kinds of spirits, and food too.). We'll be back!

Updating my review from about 4 years ago when we first went. Everything is still true. Love love love this place. Great drinks. Good food from quarterdeck. The outside courtyard has the best ambiance. The bar has that dark cozy cool feel. But our favorite nights to go now are Thursday nights when Malcolm plays live music. He is the best.

This is an appropriate whiskey bar where the bartenders will take their time to create a delicious cocktail as opposed to making drinks as fast as possible. The atmosphere is great with a lively comfy interior as well as fireplace outdoor seating where once you order, you can wait and have great conversations. The whiskey cocktails were all good. They make a mean old fashion in 6 different ways here and I wish I had more time to stay and try more of their drinks. If you're in the area, this is the spot if you love whiskey and love to enjoy a well made cocktail. Our bartender was Michelle and I just want to give a huge shout-out to her! She took very good care of our large party and the drinks came out great and very timely for the amount of people we had.

Returned today at night after daytime appetizers and drinks at Quarterdeck - both places are owned and operated by the same company and use the kitchen from Quarterdeck. Sat in front of the Whiskey Neat windows on the patio and ordered a slab of ribs. The bar is lit up with red lighting, a red brick back drop and some cool artwork against the warm wood panel walls. The front area had some basic sofas kinda a cigar bar theme. The ambiance is not even close to the sultry sexy vibe at their Sunrise location, although the open courtyard here with the coconut trees make up for the shortcomings. The gender neutral bathroom had cool brick wrap around walls and withered black tile flooring but needed some TLC, obviously no bathroom checklists enforced here. read more
Took a seat against the patio wall and was greeted instantly by the server. A full slab of bbq ribs and fries were on the table in about 15 minutes and was literally finger licking good. Both the Quarterdeck and Whiskey Neat are co-owned and share the patio and it was packed. Inside the Whiskey Neat was pretty but it was a nice day so chose to sit outside. The parking lot was full and suggest ride share if possible. read more

Get your whiskey fix!! Our bartender Michelle was super friendly and gave us amazing whiskey recommendations. We went during October so they have their Halloween themed whiskey cocktails. They have a lot of Halloween decor all around which enhanced the vibe. You also get a free cocktail if you check in on yelp! Definitely check them out! read more

You like whiskey? Of course! This is a s a terrific spot in Lauderdale to go to for excellent cocktails and hang. So many choices of whiskeys and cocktails. The bar only serves drinks but courtyard is shared with The Quarterdeck restaurant. Fabulously convenient! Very laid back spot for expertly crafted drinks, fire pits and Adirondack chairs. Pet friendly, comfortable, and highly recommended. They take their drink making very seriously. I had an old school whiskey sour and froth was made with real egg whites! Quality cocktails. read more
Fun bar across from a busier food/bar establishment. We sat outside late one afternoon in comfortable chairs, enjoying the sunshine and the ambiance. My son had a couple of glasses of wine and I had a whiskey flight, which was great (I just wish the flight glasses held a little more of each drink). We did not eat there but the restaurant across from us provides service to patrons of the Whiskey Bar if desired. I want to go back again next time I am in Florida. read more

Such a vibe on a Friday night! The drinks are perfect, the music is great, the atmosphere is just lovely and the service was spot on. It had a good crowd on a Friday around 10pm. It's an unexpected find located next to the new Quarterdeck. I'd say it's perfect for date night or late night drinks. I would definitely return for happy hour as well! It's a perfect spot for Whiskey lovers, with a great selection to choose from, but also offering other liquors and a great beer lineup. So happy to find this spot! read more

Though now temporarily closed Whiskey Neat on account of the Corvi-19 virus pandemic Whiskey Neat is one of my favorite bar hangs. At Whiskey Neat, the bartenders are real pros of the trade. I even feel compelled to refer to them as "mixologists," they are that good. Plus the good drinks with an awesome offering of whiskeys, you can also get some really great foods as Whiskey Neat is a part of the Quarterdeck Restaurants, one of which is right next door and shares courtyard space, which is really a lovely space with a most relaxing atmosphere. While I was there I had a Sagamore Rye Manhattan ($12.00) up to drink along with their Sashimi Deluxe ($24.00). My food server was polite and friendly but what I really liked was the modern comfy purposefully understated whimsical to the quaint side of it décor. It really adds so much to your overall drinking and dining experience. read more

Went to whiskey neat for a quick drink. The atmosphere is amazing, and they take on a dark theme to go along with whiskey. I got the monster smash and it tasted great. The bartender Michelle helped us and took so much care when making the drinks. She was great. This place has a nice outdoor and indoor setting. There's multiple couches inside and chairs outside. They also have games that you could play for free. read more

This place is super cute!! The bar is huge and I love the ambiance in there. I ordered the chai me up which was super cute looking but not how I imagined it to taste. Still good though! Also I'm not a huge drinker so my reviews on the actual drinks probably don't mean much but this place was super cute and our bartenders were nice. I did order curly fries which I inhaled and they also have tater tots but I'm not sure what else they have to eat. My boyfriend and his friends got some old fashions that looked really cool cause the ice cube had the establishments name on it. Overall, we'll probably make this a regular spot for the first stop of our nights since we live across the street now. read more

First off let me start by saying, the bartender Nicolette was amazing! She's super knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. Her mixologist game is super strong, she's not just your average bartender. I have been dying to try a "Paper Plane" and figured whiskey Neat was the perfect place to try it. Nicolette made it perfectly and even suggested a great bourbon to go in it. Ryan was our other bartender and he made sure everything came out perfectly. This place is such a great addition to QD if you like a cocktail made with love. The food was consistently delicious. Highly recommend coming here! read more
Stopped in here with my husband on a Friday and we were pleasantly surprised by the happy hour! Half off of all starters and there were also some drink specials. We shared the calamari and the Mahi fingers, which were both VERY good! We were served by Ben and he was really friendly. It was a nice atmosphere outside for our toddler to soak up the sun. Came here on a whim on a Friday around 5 and was happily surprised by the happy hour. My wife and I ordered the Mahi Fingers and Calamari from Quarterdeck next door for half price. To my surprise we each got a free cocktail from the Yelp check in so I got the two pictured in my review. Great drinks and great service! We sat outside in the big chairs with our toddler and we're waited on by Ben and he was ver attentive. Overall, great experience and we will definitely be back!! read more

My wife and I came here to get out of the room for a night and enjoyed our time very much. We sat inside at the bar and ordered a few drinks as well as the pretzel sticks. The smoked old fashioned drinks were some of the best I've had. Most bars make them entirely too sweet and drowns out the bourbon. If you enjoy a stiff old fashioned you will enjoy theirs. The bartenders were very friendly and attentive. There was live music that sounded great and it was not too loud that you couldn't hear anything else. Great drinks and great atmosphere. read more

Cool , dark , prohibition style bar with giant selection of whiskeys. They also have other drinks and spirits. Separated by an uncovered courtyard you will find Quarterdeck . You can order food here but food is same menu and comes from the Quarterdeck. Very friendly staff and giant menu to look through . They have some good whiskey, however if your looking for unique or really rare stuff you might be disappointed. I would definitely come back here and try different drinks!
