Love the spot. A cool local place to chill and drink wine and some select beers.

Love the place. It's mostly about wine (notice business name) but I love that they have beer on tap and cans to go too. When it comes to wine selection they always make a great recommendation and never let us down. I always highly recommend our clients to them! Totally a good chill local spot to drink at and to pick up wine for the house, the office, or a party.

5 stars for the staff! Tastings, reasonable prices and they hire people who actually know and like wine. Just a great little wine shop.

This place is very user-friendly with no "wine snob" attitude to it. Good expensive wine is good, but good wine at a low price is great!

Small selection of mid to high priced wine. I've seen the same bottles at trader joes for $3 less.

My first big purchase came when I needed to buy some wine for a company Christmas party; and I've been a loyal customer ever since. The wine selection is vast, and the staff that I've had the pleasure of meeting are highly knowledgeable about the entire product offering. Truly one of the best independent wine retailers in the area.

For some reason they do not like when a customer ask questions and recommendations for various wines & spirits. Seems I am not the only one that gets the eye roll (see other experiences below). Does not makes sense to do when a customer comes into the store to spend a lot of money on gifts for co-workers and the Jackson's staff is arrogant with communications . And it always is the same staff members who have condescending behavior . Maybe the staff should be humble when customers ask questions and suggestions for wine and spirits. Don't they want to sell products? I can just go down the street to BEV MO where the prices are cheaper and staff is helpful. Also, Safeway prices are lower and there is always friendly helpful staff in the wine & spirits aisle. The wine & spirits are the same at both Safeway and Bev Mo so I don't see the point of purchasing from Jackson when it is turns into a horrible experience.

Good for a lively night out, not for a quiet conversation. Would I return? Not sure. Food: Good for what it is, but definitely on the pricier side. The steak frites were the highlight. Fries were abundant and heavily truffled, and the hangar steak was a delight. The mussels, on the other hand, were average and served not very hot, with a pretty plain sauce. The two pieces of bread that came with it weren't nearly enough to handle the whole dish. The short rib was tender but slightly dry, though the polenta and carrots underneath were a nice touch. Drinks: The tea thyme was a bit too fragrant, almost perfume-like. Tasted fine, but next time I'd probably go boozier instead. The lemonade was plain, but that's to be expected. Ambiance: Quite noisy, with a few TVs going and the bar packed. Understandable for a Friday, but we had to raise our voices to hold a conversation, even at a 5:30 reservation. Things really picked up around 6-6:15pm. Service: Our server did her job and gave solid suggestions when asked, though I don't recall her introducing herself. She kept us stocked with extra plates and silverware and took good care of us overall.

It's always such a relief when a server understands dietary restrictions and takes the time to make thoughtful recommendations. I ended up ordering the burger with gluten-free fries, since the chicken dishes contained garlic, and I'm so glad I did. The burger was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious. I also ordered a cocktail made with Nolet's Gin, pineapple, and another ingredient I can't quite remember. It was garnished with a dehydrated pineapple slice and was light, refreshing, and full of flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich and said it was perfect. He made sure to saved room for dessert and thoroughly enjoyed the bread pudding. From the attentive service to the delicious food and relaxing patio atmosphere, everything about our visit was excellent. We will definitely be back and highly recommend dining here!

He said it was good. No complaints. I ordered a salmon sandwich that had cole slaw and pickles on a brioche bun. It was very messy to eat. I think they should have used a more crusty bread, one that will hold the sandwich together. The sandwich fell apart on me and I had to eat it with a knife and fork. We asked for some hot sauce, but the waitress failed to mention that it wasn't free. Who charges for hot sauce anyway? We don't mind paying $1 for it, but at least warn us. Overall, this place had good vibes, the waitstaff was great and attentive and we didn't wait long for the check.
