Cheers to a comeback for WineStyles. I believe it has a lot to do with new management providing excellent service. I've been back a handful of times in the past couple months and I've enjoyed the wine tasting as well as wines by the glass. I can't comment on food at the point besides what I've seen. The charcuterie looks much more appealing than in the past and I'll likely indulge next time. The ambience for wine Wednesday was laid back with a friendly crowd. I'll probably stop in every time I shop now! read more

Stopped by WineStyles Tasting Station yesterday after having my eye on this place for some time. I love the concept of not only this place, but others that are similar in the area. WineStyles offers a small "Apps" menu which for me separates them a bit from the competition nearby. Couple that with an apparent new ownership that takes pride in not only knowing the products he's selling, but also complete engagement with the customer from the moment they enter his establishment. A kind soul with an extreme wealth of knowledge in the wine field and the unique stories that accompany each brand. This type of place is a place you can not only walk in and open a bottle of wine for enjoyment on the spot, but you also have the opportunity to sample wines you never knew existed! I really dig this place and stop by every time I visit my friend in GB which is about once a month. We always get the truffles with our wine too. Delicious! The last time we were there, we got to listen to some really lovely live jazz and a group of folks kindly invited us over to share the heat lamp. read more

Be prepared to be judged, rumored about, and disrespected! A particular waiter here thinks it is part of his job to look you up on the internet and tell other patrons what he thinks about you and your life. Love this place! They have plenty of wine choices and very nice small plates to pair it with. We opted for the goat cheese which came with some crackers. It goes nicely with the malbec and really with any wine! Casual atmosphere to go with it so what more can you ask for?!? read more

Great place with a great location! Not only a wine store, but also a wine bar. They have indoor seating - mainly a small bar and about 6 tables. They also have outdoor seating - about 6 tables and also a cool fire-pit! The wines by the glass rotate and are a very good sampling of what is in the store itself. They also have a small apps menu - cheese/crackers and spinach dip are the 2 we usually have. Its a cool place to relax in the Friendly Shops complex - plus my wife will tell you its easier to get my visa card for later shopping if we stop here first!!! Winestyles is a really cool, laid-back place to share a glass (bottle) of wine with a friend. It's a little dark and while the staff is very knowledgeable, they can come off as a little pretentious, but overall it's a perfect place to unwind after a long day at work. New ownership! Craig is awesome! Best customer service I've had in a while and this is coming from a former bartender/server. Great selection of wind both by the glass and bottle! They have 50 beers to chose from plus a wine of the month club and live music on the weekends. Great spot for a girls night or date. On Saturday April 6 my husband and I met another couple here to enjoy the outdoors. We were there about 45 minutes to an hour when the mgr/owner came over to my husband to ask him if he would not vape because they had the door open and other customers were complaining about the smoke going inside. My husband proceeds to tell him that a table right at the door was smoking cigarettes. The mgr said he would speak to them as well but instead he went over to take pictures with them and acted as to welcome there presence. My husband is very mindful of people thinking vapes produce smoke but it's a mist, a fruity mist at that. The other table continued to smoke Marlboro lights and when it was pointed out to the mgr he seemed surprised but never spoke to them in our presence. We left after it was obvious we were not welcomed. Oh did I mention we only had one glass of wine! The wait staff never came back to see if we wanted another drink after our glasses were empty for about 20minutes. We will NOT return to this establishment read more

The owners of this location are extremely nice and accommodating. Nice selection of wines but they should invest in more higher end wines/champagnes as well. They offer a basic but Good selection- cheese trays, tapas and ect. Decor's dark and rustic- lighting can be a little dark at times. read more

Absolutely amazed by the way Doug handled a solo show on a Sunday night ... not an empty seat in the house and he kept it rocking! He kept the spirits flowing and the humor high! A great time had by everyone in the house and he kept up with the dishes, cleaning tables, and attending to patrons needs and doing it all with smile and an atmosphere of unmatched hospitality. I enjoyed a glass of wine with a friend on the outdoor patio. We both had a Shiraz that was very nice. The music was soft enough to not be over bearing, and the service was the same. Barbi, the owner, is very nice, and she made sure we had what we needed but left us alone for our girl talk time. Drove here from Raleigh because they are listed as a vendor for Slightly Askewed wine which is awesome. After the girl working the counter watched us wander around the store looking for a specific brand we decided to ask for help. She wasn't busy but curtly referred us to a corner acting like we bothered her. Most places would at least engage you and offer another suggestion but she just ignored us so we left without any purchase. Will not return. read more

The staff would not allow me to participate in a wine tasting because there was a small crack on my license. I was condescendingly told that since I have been 21 for so long (I'm 26), that I should have gotten a new license by now. (It isn't expired). I am a teacher who works without a planning period, so apologies for not having time to make it to the DMV. I was told to "come visit again" when I have a new license. I won't. read more

The service here is awful. And the employees obviously think their customers are idiots. My wife complained that her wine glass was dirty, and the server replied, "Oh, they are all like that." Well, if they are all dirty, I guess that is somehow OK. I ordered the Bruschetta - Garlic Parmesean Toast. When I received Chips and Salsa, I told my server that I had gotten the wrong item, and she said, "Oh no, that's the Bruschetta." Well, maybe she just thought I was stupid, but I do know the difference. On a positive note, the live music was good. read more

First off, they have a full bar with a huge specialty cocktail list, craft beers, non alcoholic options and even THC drinks. We had amazing wine off of their impressive list, plus a few cocktails that were mixed extremely well. The food: amazing to say the least. Charcuteries, meats, cheeses, apps, finger foods, and a few uniques you have to get (one in particular). We enjoyed a beautifully plated charcuterie (see pic), the caprese bruschetta, a goat cheese pesto bruschetta, and that one in particular: the medjool dates. The dates were surrounded by a bed of creamy Brie cheese melted perfectly, topped with crispy prosciutto and sprinkled with a balsamic reduction. All of this is easily mopped up with the fresh focaccia the dish comes with. This dish rocked! The staff was so welcoming and empathetic. They immediately brought us towels to dry off and even brought me a blanket! They also gave us some complimentary champagne for our anniversary. Our waitress, Delaney (I hope I'm spelling that right!), was wonderful and even took the time to make me a custom off-menu martini. And then there was the food. We started with the raw oysters, which were half price for happy hour and came with a chili sauce that will now make every other oyster slightly disappointing. I had the bacon cheeseburger, and my partner had the pork belly cacio e pepe, which was fantastic. At the end of the meal, they surprised us with complimentary olive oil cake and more bubbly for our anniversary. What could have easily been a miserable evening ended up being such a great anniversary dinner. The entire staff went above and beyond for us, and the hospitality really stood out. Most of the bottles of wine here are $20 or less. They categorize them by style (i.e.: bubbly, bold, fruity...etc.) They also have a heated patio which is good for those chilly winter nights. I chose a cold Chenin Blanc mostly cuz I haven't seen it on a menu in the Triad for quite some time. It was quite good great nose of sweetness but dry enough to be a good all round table wine. Its similar to Pinot Gregio but not dry or tart. I think when I'm back in GSO I will stop in to this unique wine bar again as it was a nice experience and everyone seemed very chill and friendly.
