Food is just ok. Their stuffed mushrooms are filling but it's mainly stuffed with breadcrumbs. No noticeable shrimp pieces as mentioned in the ingredients. Mushrooms were large and the breading held up well. The riblets are the spines of the pig which I thought was interesting. It was really dry though and the server didn't bother to offer me any dipping sauces. Also seemed like she didn't want me to get any of the daily specials (maybe dropping a hint that the riblets were a bad choice?). Margarita was solid and had a good amount of tequila. We've all had those nights. You know the kind I'm talking about. The ones where you're sitting at home trying to decide what to eat. You don't feel like cooking, but you don't wanna order from the same 'ol fast food pick up joints. Simultaneously, you don't wanna take a pilgrimage across two cities just to order a burger or something. So, whaddaya do? You try the latest hot thing because your loved ones say it's "da bomb" and all that. And that's....how I ended up ordering boneless buffalo flavored chicken strips at Wing Daddy's. So, I'm told Wing Daddy's chicken strips are better than Raising Cane's. Well....they're certainly BIGGER, I'll give ya that. But I would be understating things a bit if I told you there were a few things that seemed underpar to me. Like.. Whilst these chicken strips were definitely about the size of a whole chicken thigh, parts of it were rubbery. I expected more. However, I loved the overall flavor and they mixed well with the bleu cheese dip. Unfortunately, they seem to only give you one thing of dip regardless of how many pieces of chicken you order. What I'm telling you is: just order extra dip. Another thing that's truly bizarre about this place is the way you have to place orders. Apparently, they are incapable of separating orders on their own the way other restaurants would. Because we kept having to specify that one meal should go in one box as its own complete order, followed by the next one and so forth. Why does this process have to be so painful? Also, this place is apparently loud as hell. The lady on the phone could barely hear me and was practically yelling into the phone the whole time. Someone should install a sound proof booth in there. And as far as I know, this place does not offer online ordering. The fries were okay, but could have used more seasoning. But there was something really nostalgic and memorable about their texture so...I would definitely return when in a pinch and not really feeling like ordering the same ol' chicken strips or making anything myself (which has actually been happening a lot with me lately). Final piece of advice I'd offer is: don't order more than 3 pieces of chicken unless you're feeling exceptionally hungry. These pieces are huge!! The waitress was amazing and very apologetic but the manager was not . Okay so whenever I go some place I try to go at least a few times to gauge it. Whether I come in on a good night, a bad night, a night with something weird going on, I try to find the average over a period of time at least longer than a weekend. Let me start with what's good. The wings are good. A lot of places seem to have a bunch of pre-cooked wings and just sorta throw some sauce at it before they bring it out. The ones I ordered seemed to have some flavor soaked into it. Granted it took a little while to get out to me, but with these having some taste, and good taste, that tells me the guys in back put effort in. So good on them for setting a good standard for their namesake. That said, let's talk bad. If you're bored enough and look through other places I've looked at, well I tend to emphasize service. If the server is attentive and cheerful, if I never see the bottom of a cup of coffee, or I end up having to uber home and not be too annoyed I have to Uber back the next morning/afternoon/post-shower-of-pain-and-sadness, it's probably a good time. It doesn't matter if the food is mediocre; I mean if it's terrible it makes it harder for them but I look favorably on a place if the servers hustle. If it takes 20 minutes for a server to notice my beer is low, or if I go in and times my existence isn't even acknowledged despite hard eye-contact, well that's a problem. Doesn't matter if the food's amazing, or pretty good even. There's this weird half counter at the weird corner of the bar near the patio door. I don't know what's up with it, but it has a chair in front of it. I can understand if it was a place for servers to rearrange their hands before trying to open the door but why would it have a chair if it wasn't a place to sit? And if it's for servers and their trays, why does it seem flimsier than a shelf held up by scotch tape?Whatever it is, it seems to be a blind spot because no matter how long I stood there (yeah the counter sits at a weird height if I sit), all 3 times I stood there, I didn't get anything. No beer, no order put in, not even an acknowledging glance. So, I'm not gonna deny I get tipsy at places like this and tip a little more than I should. Beer, pretty girls, a recipe for financial disaster (for me). That's the point of these places. It's like hooters but the wings are better. I wanted to like this place, I really did. Lots of pretty waitresses and again, the wings aren't too bad. But how am I supposed to tip you with copious amounts of cash, disposable or not, if you don't take my order? If times I go, I successfully get service but it still takes extra effort to get a refill, well, I'll just go to the Rib Hut. Need to get my steps in and they're way more attentive. Like, didn't even wait 3 minutes before I had a tall beer in front of me. Well it was a small glass but the keg had to be changed out. Bottom line, I like the wings but I don't want to roll the dice on whether I'll get served or not. And if I go in buzzed, I don't want to go in and sober up before a drink lands in front of me. We had a fantastic time at wing daddy's today. The food was amazing. We had 4 flavors of wings, garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, cajun, & plain. The wings were flavorful and crunchy. The wings were also a nice size. We also tried the philly cheesesteak and grilled cheese sandwich kids meal. The philly tasted good too. Two issues I personally had was that the fries were not crispy. They were a bit soggy but they did have flavor. My family hardly touched the fries. Also, we asked for sauce on the side, when the basket came to the table, the sauce spilled into the basket. Server offered to replace the wings which was very nice so no harm no foul. The facility is clean and the servers are friendly. Other servers were even smiling and greeting as I walked by. Theres plenty of seating and tvs everywhere. Theres a nice bar there as well. So I noticed the chicken being "off" the past times I've been here but didn't think much of it because I don't consider WD a nice restaurant. It's decent at most. Service is what you expect from a bar/restaurant. Some ladies are wonderful, others focus on other things like conversing with managers or co-workers which I don't mind because I know where I am. This past time I just had to ask a manager why my entire order was made up of boneless that had more batter than chicken. This had happened the 3 past times at both locations I visited. It was then that I was informed that all locations changed their provider for the chicken and this was a common complaint from customers. Something with them being double dipped was causing the batter to take over the chicken. I got a great $1 discount on my meal and left wing daddy's for the last time.
