They do give good portions but this is 4th time I have been there since moving to area. The previous times were ok at best but thought would give one more chance. I'm glad we tried this place while in town visiting family. We ordered the food for our entire extended family. The dishes we ordered were Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Beef Chow Mein, Cashew Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and Egg Rolls (requested everything without MSG which was not an issue). The family really enjoyed it. The chicken dishes has huge, meaty pieces. All of the dishes had a good amount of meat and veggies. The Egg rolls were great, and they used a nice breathable foil bag so that they didn't get steamed on the way home. The Egg drop soup was also spot on. The only one that could be better was the Cashew chicken. The cashews and veggies were great, but the gravy was a bit bland for my taste. But it wasn't bad, by any means. I came here for take out. Customer service and portions were very good. My order was hot and ready in a timely fashion even though there was a steady stream of customers. I got Mu Shu pork, dumplings and rangoon. Plenty of sauce and everything packed perfect for take out. The Mu Shut was very bland and was missing the traditional wood ear fungus that gives it a distinct flavor. Also the dumplings were not very toasty but that was easy to fix. I've been getting carryout from this place for at least a decade, and I think it's time to be done. I don't know if the quality has declined substantially or if I'm just now realizing it. I'm really disappointed that the last 3-4 times I've gotten carryout from here, it was painfully obvious that the chicken was old. You can tell it was recently breaded and fried, so the batter was fresh, but the chicken under that was hard, rubbery, and dry. It has happened a few times now, which makes me conclude that maybe it's not just a fluke, but maybe that's just how their food is. Really outrageous, spilling out of a large carry out container were they had to put it in a plastic bag so it wouldn't spill and soak thru the paper bag it was in. I like chicken but this is the worst I have had of any kind. I grill, fry and even smoke chicken but have never had it so over cooked that it was like shoe leather.. it was brutal. Ate 3 or 4 bites of different pieces just to make sure it wasn't the one piece, but sure as sh*t every piece tough as leather, fried rice was pathetic, had a few pieces of soybean and it was brown, but nothing else.. no carrots peas nothing and flavor was lacking in both chicken and rice. Fried dumplings were small and flavorless. Same for cashew beef. All around disappointment. Not worth the price. And definitely not worth my time. Had better from the freezer Ilse. So disappointing! We used to go to the old Wing Hong when it was on 14 and Orchard Lake. It was so good! Even a couple of years ago, my brother Craig and I went to the one on Ten Mile and it was great. I've even been to this carry out before and it was just like it was when I was a kid. Then I went tonight. The portion was huge! However, it was Bland, Bland, Bland! I poured a packet of soy sauce on my Chicken Chop Suey with Chicken Fried Rice and still bland. I looked over at the crispy egg roll, and I cut into it, brought it to my mouth, waiting for the flavor to burst onto my tongue. Alas, it was not meant to be! Bland! Food was average but very filling. General Tso chicken dinner was a very large portion but the chicken was over done; same goes for the chicken fried rice that came with it. Only complaint I have is that dinners don't come with fortune cookies for free, as they typically do in other Chinese restaurants. They do have fortune cookies, but you have to order them separately. We have been eating here for quite some time, and it's time to find a new place. The food used to be excellent, now it's nothing of the sort. This last time we noticed the flavor was, well off. That's when we got a piece that was mushy and rancid. Bad chicken! The food was spoiled. My husband and I spent the rest of the weekend sick. When we went in to talk to them and return the remainder of the food the woman working was rude (and it started when I called in to ask them what we could do). She told me she doesn't know me, we had a receipt, and that she didn't know if we were lying to her about getting food there. Again we had proof. After looking at the food she only offered us half the cost of one dish. Total bill was $61.49!! A grand total of $6.00 back. I refused any money back, seeing as the probably need the money worse than we do. We do not recommend eating here, unless that is you enjoy low grade food poisoning. Thank god our 3 year old and 21 month old had the good sense to refuse any of this trash! God only knows how sick THEY could have gotten if they had eaten any! They obviously don't care about the food or the customers anymore, maybe they never did, all we know is there has to be better food out there and we will find it!! read more

I seriously cannot understand these good reviews. I've never met a chinese food I didn't like, UNTIL TONIGHT. I literally just threw away the entire contents of everything I ordered. The eggroll had a strange brown goo inside. Don't know what it was supposed to be. The chicken lomein smelled and tasted like urine. The crab rangoons are full of onions. This is a good Americanized Chinese carry out place. It's much better than the Chinese food chains that have picture menu boards. They provide friendly service and enormous portions...and it's cheap. If you like almond boneless chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and General Tso's chicken, you won't be disappointed. They do well with the fried items. The fried rice and egg rolls are also good, and better than most places of this sort. They have exceptional wonton soup with a light broth (that's not fluorescent yellow) and comes with plenty of wontons. The hot and sour soup is not so good...it's kind of syrupy, not spicy at all, and too sweet. You would have to drive a while from this place to get better budget Chinese carry out. read more
