3rd plate of cold eggs not eaten exhibit 3
    Misty A.

We had high hopes for Bricks in Blaine after a decent experience the week before, but today's breakfast was a complete letdown--and frankly, an embarrassment for any restaurant claiming to serve quality food. We all ordered the same breakfast plate, and the problems were obvious the moment the waiter set them down. The bacon wasn't just overcooked--it was burnt to the point of crumbling into dust when touched. The eggs were cold. Not lukewarm. Cold. It was baffling that this was even allowed to leave the kitchen. To his credit, the waiter acknowledged the bacon was burnt and promised to bring fresh bacon and eggs. He returned with new bacon--but no eggs. At that point, we didn't bother pressing it further. We were hungry, so we picked at the potatoes, left the eggs untouched, and took the bacon home for the dogs. That's how low the bar had dropped. The manager never came over. No apology. No explanation. Just a quiet $4 discount per meal, which felt more like a slap in the face than a gesture of goodwill. We paid over $60 for a breakfast that left us disappointed, frustrated, and still hungry. There's a reason Bricks wasn't packed on a Sunday morning after church. We found out the hard way. We won't be back.

Ordered the soup of the day which happened to be a lobster chowder and absolutely loved it!! It was very creamy!! The chicken sandwich and the meatloaf wasn't bad either-- I just wish it had more sauce!! The service was awesome and the ambience was really good. I thought the restaurant was pretty and the chairs were very comfortable.

I wanted breakfast food on a Sunday morning before a game. Brick's Kitchen and Pub was on our way. Service was good and friendly. We weren't rushed to make a decision. She came back and checked on us after we got our food. Our food was good. We especially liked the blackberry jam/sauce we got with the cheese curds. It had a perfect amount of spice. We wouldn't have minded having a little more it was so good. We had the eggs Benedict and a breakfast platter. The potatoes were especially noteworthy because they were crisp. The bacon was nice and crispy. The English muffin was thick. My husband said his Eggs Benedict was good. My scrambled eggs were bland and I could have gotten salt and pepper I'm sure I just didn't make the effort. It was a nice clean place with a classy look.

Food 4/5 - My favorite two appetizers were the cheese curds and shrimp n' grits, definitely recommend both. Service / Ambiance 4/5 - Service was helpful and quick. The restaurant was well maintained and clean.

Bricks is a solid restaurant with a nice location in Blaine. Always easy to find parking and get in. A mix of nice dining and sports bar vibe. Love the ambiance of the restaurant. Food is average, prices are high. Service is decent. It is a solid option in Blaine.

We had a break from a soccer tournament so decided to eat here for dinner. Loved the tvs with live sporting events. Food was all fair. Our server was great and the ambiance is overall good.

Ranch house Chicken Sandwich- great crunch and the smoky flavor of the ranch was an awesome compliment!

What a shame to see such low reviews! I had stayed away from this restaurant for awhile due to the lower reviews but decided to check it out today because they have a beautiful outdoor patio area. The vibe check here is great! The inside and outside are decorated beautifully and have an upscale feel to them! There is rich dark wood throughout the space and some fireplaces as well! The patio area has roughly 10-15 tables, a large fireplace and a separate area with cushioned seating over looking a small pond. The service here was very friendly and prompt. Truly my only complaint is that I ordered an appetizer and it came out the same time as my meal. Now to the most important part: THE FOOD! I started with the Cherry picker Collin's. Very refreshing and not overly "alcohol" tasting! Very nice! I ordered the bourbon shrimp. This was $22 for a starter... definitely steep for an appetizer! I will say it is a extremely tasty! You get 6 shrimp that were seasoned very well! The grits were a perfect consistency and cheesy! For my entree I got the ranch house chicken sandwich! It was crunchy and the smoky ranch was a spectacular touch! I opted to sub out my fries and get the green beans! These are some of the best green beans I've ever had! The glaze, peanuts and green beans had so many flavors and textures that all just worked! Highly recommend!! I would absolutely tell people to come and check this place out! Let's push these guys into the 4-5 star category where they belong!

Delicious food again last night at Bricks. Our server was very attentive. Beer was cold and food nummy! I think their prices are a smidge high but it doesn't keep me from coming back for more. The salmon was $27.99 and a little smaller than the size I pay $20.99 for at a competitor diner. The sides are enormous actually enough to share with 3 people. Their cheesy grits are fabulous too, so light and creamy and seasoned to perfection. My girlfriend also ordered the salmon and she mentioned it was too salty for her so she scraped a lot of the topping off of hers. Their chips and cheese presented well and had just the right bite to it. Don't get me wrong, I love this place. I am just sharing my good and so so feelings in the post. Very warm atmosphere as well, not too busy for a Thursday night during happy hour.

Took my daughter here last night for dinner. Service and ambiance was spot on for the mood we were in, chill and low key. Menu is simple and not over baring. I got the blackened steak tacos off the app menu, she got the American burger with truffle fries. Everything was really good.

Good food but very slow service. 2:30 in the afternoon, small crowd, 40+ minutes to get our food.

The many 1 star reviews are right- bad service, bad food, lots of people standing around talking and not helping.

2026 Dive Bar 3 of 40…read more Just off Main Street, you will find this corner bar not far from the river. Upon entering, you will notice a small bar with an adequately stocked bar, featuring about 8 taps and a number of canned and bottled beers for your liking. There are plenty of high-top tables and booths to accommodate a decent crowd. MaGillycuddy's Bar is one of those places that instantly makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cozy and relaxed, thanks in no small part to the awesome tin ceiling-- it kind of gives this place a vintage charm you don't see often. The crowd is just what one would expect, just regular folks enjoying a libation and watching the Wild game. And they have pulltabs!! We settled in on a high-top table and ordered beers and our lunch. The Nashville Hot Shrimp is a must-try. just the right amount of heat, and packed with flavor. The Guinness cheeseburger is an open-faced burger topped with fries, Guinness cheese sauce, and, of course, bacon. That was a bit messy, and was enjoyable, but there are some other items I will want to try before going back to that entree. Between the solid food offerings, the friendly vibe, and the cool interior, MaGillycuddy's has all the makings of a local favorite. If you're anywhere near Aonka, do yourself a favor and stop in--you won't regret it.
