Once upon a time, I loved this place. The wings were good, the deep fried cheese curds were awesome, the jalepeño poppers were poppin'! The people behind the counter were friendly and courteous. Things have changed on the customer service front. Lately, they can't seem to get an order correct. They are argumentative when confronted with their mistakes. My last visit didn't go well, and I admittedly lost my temper over the phone. That does not excuse them for being so poor at customer service. I am from California visiting during the holidays , and when I travel I like to try things that arent available back at home and I wanted wings and I found this spot. These are sooooo good. The girl who takes orders is super nice and super patient and i truly appreciate that. It seems like a family own business. The wings are very delicious. The first time I tried golden hot and for me it's not spicy but creamy. Traditional and boneless are good. Super crispy the boneless are. And I love that. The second time around I got bear hot, and oh man that is just some good stuff. And for its spicy but I can handle it. They have potatoe chips and homemade and i love that too. I did order take out so was not as crispy as expected but I could tell they would have been if I would have eaten in. The fries and chips are great. The chips may be my new favorite. Now for the things need improvement. The blue cheese dressing needs to be mixed more. There are big (and I mean huge) chunks of cheese and mayo separated. Also they forgot the celery. The place needs an update and a good clean but the people were nice and friendly to me. I've passed this place every day since this location opened without stopping. I wasn't familiar with it, thought it was one of a kind which makes me weary, and didn't witness much activity there so was unsure of it all together. Well, I had a taste for wings, wasn't interested in the regular places, and didn't want to step out or wait for them after I got home so I decided to call in an order on the drive home from work- 40 wings with two flavors, ranch-seasoned fries, and mozzarella sticks. The place is easy to get to & from and parking is plentiful which is a plus, especially, during traffic time. I must admit, it doesn't provide much in the way of ambience on the inside. For a place that has been at this location for a little bit, you would think they would at least invest in a few document holders and typed documents for signs and specials. I mean, a computer with Word and Clipart on it is available for free at the library and it cost cents on the dollar to print in color. However, Sharpie-laden copy paper is what you get. Does it provide clear information? Yes. Does it give you the feel of an established, legitimate establishment? Not outside of a food truck and even they have better presentation. Aside from this, to my delight, the wings were good. I was prepared to suffer through fatty chicken wings that were cooked medium to medium well since that is what seems to be the norm at places like Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings. However, the wings were done all the way through and cooked to where the skin was moist but not fatty. Very pleased. The fries and mozzarella sticks weren't anything spectacular, though. Fries are crinkle-style and I didn't taste much ranch seasoning, if any. Mozzarella sticks were just regular and there was no marinara sauce provided. My roomie is from Buffalo NY and in his opinion, Wing Slingers has the closest to "authentic Buffalo wings" that he's tried in this state. Well, that's a pretty glowing review, so we had to check this place out. I was a little disappointed by the look of the place. From the outside, it's a nice, stand-alone brick building akin to a Chili's in size, but once you step inside, you realize your dining experience is going to be a lot more casual than that. The dining area is a series of 80's style formica tables and booths, all pretty torn up and a few arcade games scattered about with a counter at the back. I was rather amused to see a real cash coin drop-and-push game at the back - might have to take a stab at that some time, I've always liked those things. We were immediately greeted by a perhaps the most friendly restaurant employee I've ever come across. He enthusiastically made suggestions and took our order, which came out about 15 minutes later. We split an order of Golden Hot wings. Too buttery for me, but The Boy really liked it. We both agreed the wings were really well cooked to a perfect golden brown but didn't have nearly enough sauce for our liking. I ordered garlic parmesan fries as a side dish and I've been thinking about them ever since. I was hoping for California-style garlic fries, which are covered in fresh minced garlic, parmesan, and parsley. This wasn't that, but it was the best non-CA version of garlic fries I've had. The garlic butter was very, very garlicky which is exactly what I like and the crinkle fries were again perfectly cooked with the right amount of parmesan sprinkled on top. My only critique on the fries would be that they needed to be drained a bit more - there was a pool of butter and few positively drowning fries that were too oily to be edible at the bottom of the basket. So overall not my FAVORITE wing joint, but there's enough good and interesting going on to keep me coming back. Just be sure to ask for extra sauce if you like your wings smothered like I do. read more

Nice friendly establishment. ..the lady(Andrea) step out from behind the counter to greet us when we came in for the 1st time...this made a great impression on us....she inform us of the daily specials and all the great food they had....we wanted the 40wings for $24; however, they were not able to do 1/2 boneless 1/2 bone-in. We ended up getting 2 lunch specials of 8 wings, fries, and drinks for only $7.99 each. We added the seasoned potatoes chips and breaded zucchini slices. Overall, we had a great time at the arcades and the food was good. The only suggestion is have the wings a little bigger in size and not so salty on the zucchini slices. I arrived around 11:30 on a Monday - locked up tight, no lights on, no cars in the parking lot, no sign on the door indicating anything. I honestly thought they were out of business. On a whim I called their number. The "conversation" went something like this: Hello Is this Wing Slingers? Yeah Are you open? No Are you going to open today? Yeah, sometime What time? Maybe ... come back around 1:30 Needless to say I didn't. And probably won't.
