I stayed in the hotel next door and had dinner and breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns for breakfast and fajitas for dinner, both of which tasted good. Menu items are more or less what you would expect from a chain bar and grill, but well-prepared, fresh tasting and flavorful. Good beer on tap. Service was friendly and quick with the refills. The restaurant was clean. Plenty of televisions so you can catch the game that you want to watch. That was nice. The flavors of sauces were great. I enjoyed the wings! We had two servers. I never knew which one would show up next. Our female server was fantastic. She was friendly, answering all of our menu questions helpfully. The other server was male. He was not friendly. He needs a lesson in how to be polite to a customer. Because of our unfriendly server, and the fact that the coleslaw was horrible, I am going to give only three stars. Can I give 0 stars?!? This place was about the worst service imaginable. I don't have the time or the energy after the ridiculous dining experience I just went through to accurately explain what the hell just happened. I feel like I just flew around the world, hiked a mountain, and crossed a desert for a saltine cracker and half a lima bean. Asked for a water (at the bar) no less than a dozen times before I got a half empty glass; the food was ungodly slow, unless you believe in a really slow god... but from what I hear He made the heavens and earth in 6 days, so there's that. I absolutely could not get a damn drink if my life depended on it.... and it almost was based on my level of dehydration; going what seemed like 14 weeks between drinks will do that to you. When I asked for my check, I realized I was 34 and a half years older when it came... happy birthdays to me. It was actually over 40 minutes to get my check. We ate at Wingers on a trip thru the area recently. I think everybody in the town of Mountain Home was in this restaurant. My to-go order I placed at the bar took a long time. The bartender was trying and I give him an " A" for effort. The food is nothing special and was not worth the wait. Nice establishment and I went there for lunch while trying to watch the NBA playoffs. The waitress was nice enough to turn one of the large tvs on for me. I ordered the chicken wings (hence the name ,Wingers ) and fries. Upon eating, the wings felt a bit hard. The sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste though it had a slight Cajun kick to it. The fries were fresh however they had a light seasoning on it that made it really salty. Think Steak and shake fries with seasoning salt ! Needless to say I didn't quite finish it all. Also I've never quite thought popcorn was an item brought to your table in a bar. Usually it's bread , beer nuts or a salad ! Strange indeed. I guess it's decent for Idaho. read more

Terrible, terrible, terrible! I ordered the wing dinner. The only redeeming part of the whole meal was the really crunchy Celery. The wings were soggy and drowning in gooey, corn starchy sauce. This was my first time ever at this place. My sister and I were traveling home to Washington State and decided to stop here for lunch. We arrived a bit after the lunch crowd, around 2pm and there were very few people there, so we got seated right away. They gave us some free popcorn to munch on while we figured out our orders and I loved that. I adore popcorn, so I will take it all day long! The waitress was extremely nice and answered all our questions about dietary restrictions. She didn't seem annoyed at all. We got two big plates of wings and we LOVED them!! The house sauce, I can't remember what it's called, was amazing. I would put that on a rock and eat it. We don't have a Wingers up here where I am and I so badly wish they did! Now, instead of stopping in Boise on our way down to Utah, we're going to push through and stop here every time. It's totally worth it and I recommend it to everyone!!! read more

Steel cut oats for breakfast was wonderful. Oats cooked to perfection with fresh blueberries and raspberries on top to round out the meal. The side of pecans, cream and brown sugar set off the oats and fruit with a crunchy explosion to the taste buds. It was absolutely wholesome and left me feeling good. read more

Our 20th anniversary, went to Wingers for a good meal, as Wingers is suppose to be the best place in Mountain Home. WRONG Ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and endless salad. Asked for extra ranch and extra gravy. Had to as again for more dressing. It came in a little plastic throw away. Dinner comes 1 extra plastic gravy. Sorry husband you don't get more dressing or gravy. Then I noticed something strange, a weird lump. Picked it up with one tine of my fork, it did not move, turned the fork over, did not move still, kept its shape and everything. Asked the waitress to come look, she's just like "ya" its a lump. Asked for the manager, Joe came over told him the problem, then showed it to him, he said he would check the kitchen. Never came back. I kept thinking something was wrong, yes besides the "gravy" asked for the menu, yup our Chicken was suppose to have sauteed mushrooms, nope not there. Asked for Joe again, he said since we did not want the side of veggies we did not get the mushrooms, Seemed someone would have asked right NOPE. Oh ya did we want to order anything else? And the kitchen was microwaving more gravy. We already had our bill before we were even half way through our dinner. They just wanted us gone. No we're sorry, can we bring you anything different, or we'll take something off our bill ZERO ZIP NADA. Avoid this place please. Service was good both times we ate there. The food seems pretty typical for this type of place. I like the popcorn they give you but good luck getting them to refill it without asking. So when I attended the University of Idaho I definitely enjoyed the wingers grill up there like the food the prices in just the drinks all around. So when I move back to Southern Idaho I thought how cool is going to the end of the restaurant like this definitely not the same food prices and the variety on the menu just to plant I definitely do not recommend going here if you're looking for a night out on the town 45 mile drive to Boise would definitely find you a little bit more wider variety and satisfy your taste buds. read more

Beer is really good here. The cooks get sauce happy most of the time but is still good. The popcorn is a big plus while waiting for food.

Wow ... never have we had this kind of experience at Wingers and it's only Tuesday pm and it's after rush hour.. they do have best rubs for wings but tonight? We have waited for our server after our food was served and now is way cold so they could fix it and to wait for ever some dipping sauce for our wings!!!!!! This doesn't make for a good review!! I've lived in Mountain Home for 8 years. While, Winger's is the nicest looking food establishment in this town, it's not the best quality food. It is also the worst customer service I have experienced. The way the server stand is set up, forces the server to turn their back toward's you, well that is if they are even up front. On many occasions there is no server/hostess there and you have to wait A LONG time to be seated. I actually plan to go during peak hours so that when I have to wait it's because there are no available booths and not because the servers are in the kitchen or the opposite side of the entrance. It's very awkward. Multiple times the servers will walk past and say "someone will be with you shortly." After 10 minutes of waiting, you stop believing that. I still go there only because the options are limited in Mountain Home. I liked the chicken and waffles there...and the lime salad dressing....i pretty much get the same thing every time. read more

My son and I stopped there on the way home from Boise. The host was great to seat us-but after that the service was terrible!! The food was good, prices high. Wanted a to go box, waiter was not paying attention to us after he took our order, had to ask another and they basically just threw it on the table and said someone will bring your bill and they proceeded to just throw it on the table! Sticky Fingers with their original sauce were delicious and a nice portion for the price. The super cold 25 oz beer was a great price as well and my server was very friendly and attentive. Horrible customer service. Went for "all you can eat wings". They start you out with five wings then bring out three at a time. Oh yeah, it takes like 20 minutes to get those three. I ended up throwing up all night while my friend said he felt like his stomach was on fire. There food is OK....I'm giving it three stars for the service and atmosphere/decor. The staff is always friendly. There are huge flat screen TV's everywhere, pool tables, smoke free, arcade games, and a well stocked bar. Doesn't feel claustrophobic at all. read more
