The meal I ordered for takeout on Sunday evening was quite good - house salad and garlic fries and gets 5 stars. However paying for it was odd. The bill came to 8.98 so I gave the waitress $10.00. She asked me if I wanted the two pennies. Thinking she didn't have it I chuckled and said "no." Then she asked me if I wanted the $1.00! I was flabbergasted that she asked for my money rather than let me determine what I'd leave for a tip! I ordered the winger sirloin. It comes with sautéed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The steak was tiny, like the size of a hamburger patty, a small scoop of mashed potatoes, and a big pile "sautéed vegetables", which was mostly shredded carrots. So we went in and had lunch, great as usual. This time though I witnessed something awesome and had to do an update. An older couple came in and sat at the table in front of us. They asked about gluten free options...The server told them a few things and said she would send out the manager. The manager, Sarah, came out and sat down in the booth with them and spent 10 or 15 minutes explaining everything to them and said they even have a separate fryer for gluten free. When she left the table, the lady was visibly moved by the effort that Sarah and the staff had taken to accommodate her needs. Just wanted to say good job. read more

The food is satisfying as always. I highly recommend the chips with salsa and quacamole for an appetizer and the sirloin or blackened Alfredo for dinner. Lunch always go with the ham and cheese pounder.We go every so often and the service has usually been ok, not great, not terrible, just ok. This time we went; me, my husband, and two kids (ages 2&4); and we received amazing service! Or waiter was super friendly and patient with the kids. First time ever we've had a waiter actually talk to the kids and see if they needed anything, he even kept super close tabs on our drinks so we never hit bottom, the kids too. Our 1st night out on a 4 day trip of Idaho. We have eaten at Winger's in SLC and they are average, some a older and some newer. My wife picked Winger's with the idea in mind we could order, wait for our food and take it back to the motel. When we got inside it was not to busy and we noticed every other table was blocked off so we decided to stay and eat. I got a yummy Winger burger with lots of there special sauce. The waiter was a young kid, I would say he was 28-29, very friendly and was fast to serve us. While we were eating my wife said look at how he is sanitizing that table. I wish now I had taken some pictures or even a video. He was using a product I know well Zap. He completely sprayed down both benches and the table after he had cleaned off the dirty dishes. I mean not just a little bit of spray but a lot. He proceeded to thoroughly wipe everything down but he did not stop there. He took clean towels and did it a second time. I'm sure he killed all germs. My wife told him we had watched him clean the booth and thanked him for how well he did. He told her he had a weak immune system and he took cleaning very serious. She tipped him very well. We would eat there again. read more

I am a local person and have watched this restaurant quickly go down hill. I went there with a coworker for lunch this past week upon her request. Confirmation was made of a restaurant that doesn't care about quality. The salad was less than stellar and the half of club sandwich was dry and had only processed turkey, no bacon and processed cheese slices. You know the kind that comes wrapped in plastic. Awfull. Coworker said her soup was blah. Sorry Wingers, this is a small community and word gets around. Excellent boneless wings, with wonderful flavor combinations!!! I had the sweet Asian chili pepper ones very good perfect spice for me!!! The original amazing Sauce ones are also very good. My husband and I were staying in a nearby hotel in Ontario, Oregon, tired after a long day's drive. Winger's was a short walk away, so we wanted to give it a try so as not to get back into our car. Turned out to be a great decision! It was a Friday night, and the restaurant was jumping! The food was terrific, but beyond that, everyone was having a lot of fun, including the wait staff. We got a late night dinner on a Tuesday night. Passing thru enroute to SLC, stopped at Sleep Inn (another story). We ordered the steak tacos and fish and chips. Our server was very nice and professional, however the skinny fries with the fish was too dry. The fish was over battered but very tasty. The taco was perfect. Giving it 3 stars because the food was pretty decent. The service started out OK, but by the end of the night it just wasn't there. I went for AYCE wings. You get 8 on your first plate with fries, coleslaw and celery. Then I changed it up and had the chicken fingers (2-5" strips). They took about 15 minutes to get, and no sauce to go with them. Second request for chicken fingers was quicker, but still no sauce and the drink refills dried up. If that's their idea of AYCE.......we were there for an hour and a half and it wasn't because we were nursing drinks. And, hey its a wing joint, do you think they could give me more than one napkin or maybe a moist towelette? Bottom line is there are too many other places competing for my business for me to ever go back to a Wingers Restaurant, wherever I may be traveling. Sorry guys read more

I'd give your restaurant 0 stars if I could I'm so flipping angry. My dad and I stopped here on our week long mini road trip vacation after a long day of driving through nothingness. 9 weeks pregnant and hungry we stop here to get food. I ordered the fish and chips and a side salad instead of fris and ended up eating only the salad because the fish was so disgusting. I too one bite and it was slimy, bland, and just plain awful. I told my dad and he took and bite and and said it was undercooked because they are such big pieces of fish but the batter is so thin they pulled it too soon so the batter wouldn't burn. The waitress in the bar section asked if I wanted a to go box and I said no that the food was absolutely disgusting, she ased if I wanted them to make me a new one and I violently shook my head because the thought of it wanted to make me puke. She didn't even ask me if I wanted the menu back to find something else and lo and behold they charged my dad for the fucking plate I couldn't even eat because it was undercooked and atrocious. Fuck you guys. Upon walking through the dining section to use the restroom I could smell the bathrooms well before you even get to the restrooms. The bathrooms reeked of sulfur worse that the springs my dad and I visited at Yellowstone. If it's your water fix your water. I doubt anyone wants to smell farty egg bathrooms from the dining area. Your slogan of a great place to eat great food is a bunch of bullshit at this location. Don't charge people for undercooked gross food that they can't even eat that's a blatant rip off. Went in on a Friday night expecting the worst for waiting. It was busy. But the staff got us seated quickly and our orders in promptly. The wife and I ordered the Burgers there. Me with Onion Rings, hers just fries. Both were ordered Medium Well. Mine came with seven Onion Rings and Well Done. Hers came with over cooked previously frozen low quality steak fries and Medium at best. WOW! Ten Dollar Burgers and done poorly. The Burgers were nothing to write home about anyway, they were big- a half pound- I'm told. But the bun was a bun, even though they swirled the top to make it look like a Kaiser roll or something. The toppings were a slice of tomato, a leaf of Iceburg lettuce, and a slice of onion. That's it folks! $10 for that and some frozen fries. $11 if you want seven greasy Onion Rings. Today I was so impressed with the customer service I received!!! I ordered a pick up order over the phone right at noon, they were very busy when I called and had stated my order would be ready in about 15 min, I asked them to wait to start it for at least 15 min since I was about 30 min out. He said that would be fine. When I got to the restaurant about 30 min later I told them I had a to go order and gave them my name, The gentleman that helped me said he was very sorry but he forgot to put in my order, he was very apologetic and offered me a free drink while I waited. I told him it wasn't a big deal at all, I was there for about 10 min and my order was ready to go. The whole time I was there they just kept apologizing I responded each time that it was really Ok. When I got back to my office the other lady that works with me stated that a gentleman from Wingers had called and stated that there was something missing from our order (it was the BBQ sauce for our wings) he asked if he could deliver it out to us (our office is in Payette) she said that would be fine so about 5 min later he showed up at our office with the BBQ sauce and apologized once again. I work in customer service and you often have busy days where things are forgotten and I truly feel that they went above and beyond to help us today. She doesn't check in, out drinks didn't come like they were... Another waitress came and asked us if we wanted refills and brought them back how they were supposed to be.
