Wife got the "small blue plate" of if I remember correctly. Chicken tenders and 2 sides yet had half left over!

Amazing service, terrific yet affordable meals with big portions. Love the old timey aesthetic and if we weren't just stopping through Alabama we would for sure go again. Do not forget to get some peach cobbler with ice cream before heading to downtown Mobile so you can walk off the calories.

Hostess stand is hidden, let it be known it is not seat yourself. Service is pitiful, actually felt bad for the other patrons of the restaurant. Our server asked the table next to us if they could go ahead and leave, because she needed the table. Everything here is additional charge, no entrees come with sides. Place needs a cleaning bad, Loud atmosphere, only thing keeping this place open is the diner atmosphere and the old regulars. Asked two different server for napkins beside our server, because we already asked her for napkins and none of them brought napkins. Lack of service or care, not sure. A special needs patron walked in, and staff stopped and stared at the special needs patron. What a way to welcome a guest!

My wife and I went out for lunch here today, I decided to surprise her with it because it was somewhere she's never been. Now, I love diners with that 50s look and feel, it just seems more homey than the normal places. When we entered, we were warmly greeted and quickly seated by the courteous staff. After spending some time looking over the menu, we both settled on the small blue plate lunch, with my wife choosing the chopped sirloin, and me choosing the roast beef as our meats. She said that hers was great, while the roast beef I had was a little dry, but the portion was more than generous. Now, the sides were absolutely fantastic, we both had green beans and cornbread, while I had the mashed potatoes, and she had the French fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and quite filling. I'm looking forward to trying other options on the menu in the future!

First timers here. Cool place and you can tell it has a lot of regular customers. My wife had a roast beef and gravy and I had a Philly cheese steak and we shared a fry. Both meals were really good. I thought the place was a little expensive but a great meal for sure. We will return.

Homestyle American fare with fantastic shakes! It has a 50's diner motif with oldies playing gently over the audio system. Service is always good. Their doesn't seem to be any shortage of young folks wanting to work here. Upbeat atmosphere. Good for most occasions. Open for lunch or dinner. It's a shame they don't offer breakfast. Relatively large variety of food for this type of menu offering seafood, gumbo, hot dogs, burgers, fried crab claws, and more.

The food is always good here. The service is always outstanding. The old time diner atmosphere is cool. The best thing about this place, is the shakes.

We stumbled upon this place headed home from a soccer tourney. The best country-style food at very affordable price. Great staff too!!! 10 OUT OF 10 RECOMMEND

I can't ask for a better experience here, honestly; if I am being BRUTALLY honest, this food was above five stars. The waiters are always nice, so that's an A+, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is quite nice.

The food and service at this Mobile Al mainstay is dependably excellent comfort food. Old school diner is the vibe.

    Fried fish fantastic!!!

Our waiter Kenny, was really good. Food was fantastic. That was some of the best fried fish I've ever had. I would definitely order that again. The corn was also phenomenal. Love the fried okra. This is definitely a place to stop and eat!

Started the experience with the silverware being dirty, and the napkin it was wrapped in was damp. I've eaten at many LongHorn Steakhouses over the years, so I'm very familiar with their menu and what to expect. Unfortunately, this location needs a new kitchen staff and stronger management. I now know why Texas Road House, just across the street had a huge group of people in line waiting for a table. The food was terrible. We ordered a ribeye and a filet, and both steaks were heavily seasoned with cayenne pepper--far too spicy for anyone wanting to enjoy the natural flavor of a good steak. My filet was anything but "melt-in-your-mouth" tender. It had the texture of a sirloin. I ended up scraping off as much of the pepper seasoning as I could and ate it because I was too hungry to send it back. My husband's ribeye was even worse. It was ordered medium but arrived well done and was so peppery he couldn't eat it. He sent it back, and we were told the manager would personally bring out the replacement. Instead, another waitress delivered it, and the new steak was rare. By that point, my husband had completely lost his appetite and said, "Forget it." The problems didn't stop with the steaks. The rice was over-salted. The only bright spot of the meal was the crispy Brussels sprouts--they were excellent. After our waiter spoke with the manager about the second steak, she finally came to our table. She offered to remove the ribeye from our bill, which we appreciated, but she seemed completely uninterested that her kitchen had repeatedly gotten the food wrong and ruined our dining experience. Excellent waiter. Terrible food. Inexperienced kitchen. Indifferent management. We won't be back.

Great service, off to a great start, now our waitress came over Kaylynn a very bubbly and friendly young lady also eager to help. There are many empty tables on a Wednesday night at around 6 PM. Still the crowd noise level was up due to some games on. We ordered drinks and when she came back, we were ready to order. She had the Parmesan Garlic Wings, and I had Hot wings, yes, they brought the heat but great flavor as well. The fries were tasty and my wife had the potato wedges, and they were very tasty (sorry no picture and they came late to the table). She enjoyed her wings as well. This was a successful experience. So glad to see the service has picked up a few notches. When we go back, we will ask for Kaylynn. Yes, we will return.

We also thought it was slapped together like some cheap fast food restaurant. We waited almost thirty minutes. So.. no rush. But the food wasn't worth what we paid.
