I would give the food 3.5-4 stars but the space was a little concerning. The wings were tasty and flavorful. My favorite sauce was sesame teriyaki! The rice was fine (special sauce adds good flavor). Snagged myself some wings on the way home--Spicy Garlic Parmesan--and was seriously impressed. The wings themselves were massive, and the cook and texture was great. When I walked in the door a very friendly employee was ready with my order. I got mild Buffalo and the kid got orange wings with rice. My car smelled so good! It was a struggle not to taste one on the ten minute drive home. Opening the box was more of a surprise. The amount of food was ridiculous. The price suddenly made sense. Both of us had to save half our meal for another day. The wings were good - being honest, we all like our wings differently and this wasn't my preferred style but they were delicious. You'll definitely get a fair amount of food for the price at Wings and Rice. We ordered the $9.99 special which included 8 wings (up to 2 flavors), a house salad, a small fried rice and a drink. The wings were crispy, though slightly overdone and not quite as juicy as I would've liked. Also a bit smaller than Buffalo Wild Wings for example. I selected the cajun dry rub and the louisiana sauced flavors. The cajun spice mix was really tasty. I could've eaten 12 or more of them. Nice level of spice and a great combination of flavors. The louisiana wasn't as tasty. Sauce was a little too sweet for me and didnt have much heat. The rice was somewhat flavorless. The sauce is incredibly mellow and doesnt really add much to the rice. Tastes like a mayo based sauce with just a bit of pepper. The salad was equally flavorless. Overall, the cajun wings are what salvaged this place for me. Id go back just for a large order of those. The rest of the items just serve to make your dollar stretch further, which I suppose is a good thing. Just dont expect a lot of flavor for the sides. read more

Nice little wing spot to check out. Not a fancy place to eat at. There aren't many tables inside so prob not best place for a large group. Wings are decent size! Wings & Rice has the one thing that I've looked everywhere for since moving here. White sauce drizzled over fried rice. You can get Japanese white sauce at a number of places, but I really like the kind that this place serves. They have plenty of daily specials so that you can get a pretty decent deal here if you know when to come. My only complaint, and I feel like is a pretty big factor on how good a place is, is that their customer service has been pretty rude in the past to myself and friends of mine. We would bring our (well behaved, small) dogs to the patio outside to eat with us, and instead of just saying "Hey, sorry, we don't allow dogs here." they berate and act passive aggressive about it. Hopefully management looks at their staffing's attitudes and teaches them how to better respond to situations like this. I don't mind being told that I can't have my dog with me, I can easily just get the order to go, but you don't need to be rude about it. read more

Love this place! We receive great customer service every time we dine in or get take-out. Everyone has their personal preference on what flavor is the best, but mine is definitely the Spicy Italian. My boyfriend told me I should order it the first time I went there. I was thinking it was going to be like a spicy marinara sauce or something....so I passed and ordered the lemon pepper and something else. I thought they were pretty good...until I tried his! I knew instantly that I had made a huge mistake! Luckily for me, he was nice and we shared haha. But now every time we go, the only flavor we ever order is Spicy Italian! The wings are always perfectly cooked. They are never dry like at some places. And never undercooked... always nice and juicy! :) I have tried other flavors that my friends have ordered. They are all good. But by far SPICY ITALIAN is still my fave! LOL...it is actually more like dynamite sauce (the kind on sushi rolls). It is also similar to the sauce they put on their fried rice. That reminds me...I love their fried rice, but they make theirs differently than most places. It has good "wok flavor" which many places never achieve. :) However, they put a dynamite-like sauce on top, plus it has lots of minced carrots as my friend who hates dynamite sauce AND carrots found out the hard way! I would have loved to add a picture of my wings, but they were gone by the time I remembered to take a picture! I ordered the lemon pepper wings, they were definitely respectable and had good flavor, I just thought they were small and you didn't get a lot of wings considering the amount you paid. The fried rice was fluffy... yeah, that is the best way to describe it... the chicken was cut up chicken breast and didn't seem to be mixed into to the rice... it seemed like it was layered on after it was cooked. Maybe next time I could be a little more explicit about my order, just to make sure it's up to my expectations. Aside from that, wings and rice is definitely a great combination... I want to try it again, I think it may be best to go in and ask questions about the food prior to ordering. Been going here since my freshman year of my undergraduate career and loved it ever since! First heard about this place when some clubs and organizations held "percentage nights" at Wings & Rice. (Basically, the club brings in friends and family to eat here and then whoever signs the paper at the counter under the organization, 15 or 20% of that proceeds will go to the organization. So nice of them!) Ever since then, I never regretted the extra 10-15 minute drive from campus to grab some delicious fried rice with their special sauce and flavorful wings! I usually order the 10 wings that comes with an order of large fried rice, a side of salad (upon request) and a fountain drink. This is exactly $14 after tax, but is so worth it! The proportion is HUGE and you can either share it with someone or save it for later. You can also opt for the smaller proportion if you'd like, but I think this is one of the best deal. Now the flavors that I have tried so far over many occasions are: cajun, garlic parmesan, spicy garlic parmesan, honey mustard, spicy Italian, sesame teriyaki, dragon's breath, extreme, and lemon pepper. I highly recommend the honey mustard and the garlic parmesan if you do not like anything spicy. If you're feeling you want a slight kick of spice, I would go for the spicy garlic parmesan and spicy Italian. (Now, these two flavors, are not even close to spicy to me, but for some, it may be, so give it a try!) And if you are feeling super brave and want to be a daredevil, try the extreme or the dragon's breathe flavor (this one is much worst, so be sure to have milk next to you!). Cajun and lemon pepper were okay to me, nothing special. Sesame teriyaki was pretty good and reminded me of the sesame chicken at Chinese restaurants. Overall, always a 5/5 for me when I'm craving their fried rice and wings. Nothing else compares! I'll choose them over Buffalo Wild Wilds or Wingstop any day, especially to help a local business out too! read more

It's true, the fried rice is really good-especially for all the lovers of Japanese mayo. Salad was on the soggy side. The wings were okay but they didn't strike any Korean semblance to me. My initial visit wasn't all that great but we stopped by again last month and I was pretty impressed. The inside of this place is very casual and a good spot for lunch. The smells coming out of here will drive you nuts if you're hungry but the food worth the wait. I went with the chicken and potato soup that was delicious! It had a kick to it so if you're not a fan of a little spice, this may not be for you. I also ordered the boneless wings with fried rice. I have two complaints, the chicken tender meal is around the same price or cheaper and you get wayyy more chicken for the price. You can also add sauces to your chicken strips so I wish I would have gone that route instead. Also, the sauce they put on top of the rice was a bit too heavy. It's got a good flavor but there was simply just too much of it on the rice. The fried rice itself is very flavorful. Decided to check this out based on yelper's reviews. Wings and fried rice is weird. But based on other reviews, I bit the bullet and ordered the 10 wings, fried rice, salad, and drink for $11.99. For the wings, I got 2 sauces Louisianan and Spicy Italian. I asked what the spicy Italian was like, she couldn't describe it, so get gave me a taste of the sauce. It is hard to explain, but wonderful. I had them put their sauce for the rice on the side because I did not know what it was like. Next time I will have them just put it on directly, yum. We shared the combo and when the food was brought out the server brought two plates, forks, and ranch. I appreciated the observation and the gesture. It took about 15 minutes to get our meal. It was nice that the server brought it out to us. The BBQ was really good. The beef ribs were sliced very thin, the meat was tender and flavorful. The coleslaw was a bit over-sauced, but the flavor was excellent. My rice side and my wife's fried rice were good.
