This place does not disappoint, you walk in and place your order on the kiosk and that's it. Have a seat. Your appetizers and entrees are brought out to so freshly cooked. Let's me just say WOW! You can hear the crunch of these wings in outer space. It is out of the world crispy and flavorful! The wings are soooo good, the drumsticks are super juicy and delicious! Sauces taste similar and are nothing special. The soy garlic was the best. There's a new snack that I can't recall the name of but it was sausage and rice on a stick. It was interesting and tasty. Service was okay. The cashier was a woman who had extensive knowledge of what the menu tastes like which was helpful. Food is incredibly expensive. I always rave about this place until my friend she had to try it. I never been to this location, but we were close by and decided to try it out. Walking up you see your outside patio and as soon as you enter the restaurant, there high top tables you can sit in as well as a bar. The cashier was really helpful, and I thought it was really cool that there were some new snacks to try. I got a six piece wing, the bulgogi Fries, and a popular Korean street treat they were promoting. I was like a shish kebab with sausage and rice cakes. I didn't expect to love it as much as I did and wished I got more than one. The meal ended up being just okay, though I still loved the crispiness of their chicken. Omg! We stopped for an overnight stay here in Tuscon before we continue our journey to Universal Los Angeles and my husband mentioned this restaurant. We ordered and the food was really good. Never tried Korean fried chicken before but I was blown away by the crispiness! We had the 12 piece chicken wings, half soy garlic half crispy crunchy. Both flavors are amazing. And the chicken itself is so moist even after being fried twice! We also had the seasoned fries, pickled radish and bao buns with bulgogi. Every tasted so good. The service at this location is lacking a bit. But it's basically a tiny step above a fast food place so don't expect too much. The location is right in downtown so it's a little small inside but well worth it if you have to wait a little while for a seat. Or grab your items to go. This is definitely a once in a while thing but I highly recommend this over KFC if you're in the mood for some fried chicken! read more

They could make this place way more interesting and inviting, it's a cool space and nobody accentuates the openness since the 1st owners. As far as fourth avenue goes it's all by itself a little too fat north from the action. The point of sale is an issue not really understanding that you order from the bar and pay right then. The sauce on the chicken we got was the traditional Korean BBQ sauce, it was bland and a little too sweet. The coleslaw had no flavor at all and the kimchi was bland as well. For the price of everything and lack of atmosphere and attention to any details make it a pass for me. I think I will return. read more

I stopped by Bonchon for lunch and really enjoyed it! It was my first time trying the restaurant, which took over the old ATL Wings location at 4th and University. The atmosphere was lively, with around eight TVs. A couple of them played K-pop music videos. I personally don't listen to K-pop, but it added a fun and unique vibe to the place. I ordered the 10 piece boneless wings with coleslaw and fries. I chose half Korean BBQ and half spicy. I liked that they used stickers to label each wing flavor on the plate, it made it easy to tell them apart. Both flavors were delicious! I feel like I have a high spice tolerance but these wings had me spiced out by the end of the meal! We had a bit of trouble ordering at the kiosk, but the staff handled it well. They apologized and took our order at the bar instead. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the soy garlic wings, bulgogi fries, and Korean donuts! read more

Crunch Out Loud! That's Bonchon's theme, and they absolutely deliver. Every single bite of my chicken wings was exactly that -- crunchy perfection. My husband stopped by to get something to eat here and asked if I wanted anything. I ordered the Korean Barbecue and Yang Yum wings (6 wings 1/2 & 1/2), and let me tell you, they were out of this world. The wings themselves were ginormous, clearly hand-battered, double fried, and oh-so crispy. The Yang Yum sauce was just right -- a little sweet, a little spicy, not overpowering, and perfectly balanced. The Korean Barbecue had a subtle smokiness with just a tiny hit of spice, making it one of the best BBQ-style wings I've ever had. Both flavors were absolute winners in my book. Even the fries deserve a shoutout -- perfectly fried, crispy on the outside without being overdone. On top of the amazing food, the staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. All in all, Bonchon is an absolute go-to for anyone who wants to experience wings done differently. For a chain, the food quality here is too notch. The drumsticks are massive in size and the crunch from the batter is insane. The Korean BBQ sauce is a fave of mine. The only knock I have is the amount of breading on the drumsticks. You can often take a bite and only get the breading which is slightly disappointing but once you do get to the meat it's a tasty meal. read more

When asking for a takeout box, I got pointed to a box that clearly wasn't meant to hold food. It was priced too high for what it was and the atmosphere of the store. Went here for lunch and was greeted by the bartender a nice young man who told us about the menu items and we ordered at the bar. We have the 4W x 2D meal and it was so good! Who wouldn't like crispy fried chicken with syrupy sweet and hot sauce. It tasted good and the texture was exquisite. The ambiance was good I'm glad they made a restaurant out of this garage!
