There was about 3 other people in there so it was not busy at all. Took about 15 minutes to get seated and I'm not exaggerating when I say it took an HOUR and 10 minutes to get our appetizers. I also sat with an empty beer for 20 minutes before the server even came back to check on our table and another 20 minutes before I even got the beer. So 2 hours later and I finally got my boneless wings and 2 beers. A friend from our table decided to complain about the service so the manager said that they would take 50% off of our bill. This was my first time at this restaurant but I will definitely return! The boneless wings were tender, juicy and flavorful! I asked for mild heat and probably could have tried medium. The mild was pretty non-spicy which is good if that's what you can tolerate. I had the buffalo sauce which was fabulous! The amount of sauce provided covered the wings and left extra which is great! Okay, here we go. 2 stars for food, +1 star for service, neutral for ambiance. I must state, I really want to like this place. Excellent juicy awesomely fresh chicken. And no I am not paid for this endorsement. Now for the review. We were seated at a table in the section for people around our age, with kids, or eating quickly. Later we noted very large groups in our section. The main thing ... they seemed really afraid to seat people in booths. To expand on booths ... people with kids were seated at the booths. You'd think that would be the other way around since kids drop food everywhere (read = dropping food everywhere). We were even blessed with a girl of high school age with a crying toy baby to take care of for her year and class. And it cried a LOT. And she had to take up most of the booth on her side changing it. Talk about distraction. In a real scenario, would have taken baby to bathroom. Anyhoo ... To be fair, the waitress that presented herself also said she was in training and someone would be following her. I think we had over 5 people helping us. With that said, at least we were waited on ... constantly. Someone kept trying to take my plate away while I was still eating ... and someone ninja'd our freaking menu we were trying to hang on to. So we had to ask one of our 5 server peeps to bring one back. On top of that the manager came walking around and asked how our meal was. I said something to the effect of truth, in a sweet voice, yet on the down-ish side - literally "Sweeeeet" as in too sweet or really it just ends up salty; she was barely listening and said "That's good". My boyfriend laughed as she walked away asking the next table the same question, and again seeming to be in her own world. That said, we were more served by the bus boy or the guy cleaning up dishes as would be described than anyone else. He seemed more knowledgable about table placement as he brought us our orders. My real complaint is that if you ask for anything spicy with the food - they simply add buffalo sauce to it. Nothing is homemade. But what can you expect from a chain? Lots, and lots, and lots of buffalo sauce is used here. The chicken nachoes, not good. The cheeses aren't really melted. And it comes with so much lettuce you may as well call it a salad with chips. Okay wait, let me take the melted part back. The cheese is cement melted on the edges, raw on the bottom, and just plain weird under the giant dollop of sour cream. It made me seriously wonder why I ever loved nachos in the first place. Obviously, will not order - EVER - again. Really, this scene is if you are there for sports. No real complaint of mine. At least there is a mega-TV place to go. Juicy chicken. Over sauced or under sauced how you like it. Everything covered in salt laden premade sauces. Loud ambiance. Probably a great place to drink and definitely a great place to get cheap wings on Tuesday. I think they are like 49 cents, but they require you buy them in 5 or more. And you DO have to deal with everything else. Honestly, not my vibe - but it was worth a try. Oh and we got the lemon pepper chicken to go and asked for it "medium" and guess what? I give one star rating not because of the food or the service but rather my credit card skimming experience. My wife and I had lunch here recently and enjoyed it. Later in the week I looked at my credit card charges and noticed there were two charges from Buffalo Wings and Rings on the day we had lunch. I stopped in and spoke with the manager who was very understanding and went to his office and produced two receipts. One receipt I had signed for our lunch and a second receipt from later in the day was charged to my credit card with a forged signature. The manager voided the 2nd charge when I identified the receipt signature as a forgery. I believe someone at this location is skimming credit card information. I ordered a chicken sandwich with a side of saratoga chips and what I got 45 minutes later was a chicken sandwich with completely cold fries and a big plate of Saratoga chips. Parmesan garlic fries came out plain fries, had to remove the cole slaw it tasted like men's cologne, and the fish and onion rings were overdone. The short: A GREAT sports venue for the family. Probably an above average experience for non-sports fans. This may be my new game day hang out for those games not found in my cable package. There are plenty of large screen TVs viewable from any seat, including the waiting area. This is simply the best view for sporting events I've found in northern Kentucky. The food didn't disappoint either. The wings are larger and meatier than BW3's (forgive me B-dubs), and come swimming in a bowl of sauce. They WERE delicious, but heavily sauced for my taste. Judging from the regular order, I wouldn't advise ordering your wings "wet" unless you were expecting some form of wing soup. I'll probably ask for lighter serving of sauce next time. There WILL be a next time. My wife had the grilled boneless wings. Think grilled chicken tenderloin. Also good and much better suited to the bowl o'sauce approach. The steak and mushroom quesadilla was also delicious, but let's face it, you're here for the wings. If you're not and you're expecting a fulfilling but wing free experience then odds are good that you order fish at rib joints and pasta at seafood joints. Your Yelp history is probably full of angry one star reviews and that's your fault. The beer selection was well rounded if not expansive. Tall drafts run from $4.50 to $7 depending on your selection. Most tall non-American lager drafts were $6. There's a table beer tube option for groups (or VERY dedicated single drinkers). It's a 100 oz tube (as opposed to a 64 oz pitcher. I missed the pricing but just know that it's an option. The wait staff was perhaps a little overwhelmed by the tournament crowd but still extremely polite and efficient. We were always able to get our server's attention in a timely manner and there was never a shortage of staff on the floor. Overall, I still love my B-dubs but I think Buffalo Wings and Rings may have loyalty on big game days. (ps: Sports fans, consider tipping a little extra if you stay the entire game. Yes, your single beer refill during the second half technically means you're still a paying customer, but during that time your wait staff could have seated, served, and received 15-20% tip from a family of four. I stopped in for lunch one day and had a completely miserable experience. I had been here a few times in the past and it was okay. However, after my most recent experience, I will never come back again! I ordered the steak quesadilla. As I was eating it, I noticed a THICK AND BLACK HAIR in my food! I realize that it can happen from time to time at a restaurant but they were dead for lunch. There were maybe 2 other couples in the entire establishment. What's going on in the kitchen? A manager never came over to the table to apologize and the server acted like it was not much of a surprise. She offered a replacement meal, in which I had to pay for. I couldn't eat anything else because I was utterly grossed out about the hair. I took the online survey on the receipt and let them know about my experience. I was never contacted about it and I feel that this type of poor hygiene and poor service happens often. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! I like buffalo wings and it is hard to find a family restaurant that focuses on appetizer as main entree. I understand the concept that Buffalo Wings & Rings restaurant was designed as family restaurant and NOT a sports bar. From what I have seen in the dinning, I get the sense and image that is not a sports bar at all. I ordered the medium buffalo wings with coke. It taste pretty good and I believe that this restaurant will grow. The ingredient to make buffalo wings will attract the foreigners. I do travel a lot because I am a Sales Engineer and eaten so many ethnic cuisines around the world. Buffalo Wings & Rings has the ingredient to attract foreign customers because it has the taste balanced pretty well and it doesn't focus on just the spiciness, salty, vinegary, and etc. All the spices are merged together and it manage the quality of the taste very well. You won't taste the buffalo wings just a spicy. Overall I am satisfied to come here and eat the tasty buffalo wings. I hope that Buffalo Wings and Rings will expand to my home state in California.
