Nothing we can do." Then I asked for extra sauce on the side and was told "No, we don't do that now." So i tried wings over for the first time today I work near by and was in the mood for wings and decided to try them instead of getting wings from J Tim's BIG mistake. Had a order of texas mestique flavored wings asked for them well done they were not and the wings were very very salty. Honestly this place is simply average...I expect wings like this from Stop and Shop or another grocery store. The last time we had them they were the best but only because we asked for them well done...we learned our lesson. The first time they were mushy and soft. Always ask for them well done! Have eaten at this restaurant several times over the past five years since I've lived in Bristol. After each time I have the same thoughts. - this place is overpriced, the service is deplorable and the food is just meh. As others have said the bone in traditional wings are usually very soggy even if you say Well done. The boneless wings are very good and the sauce options are also pretty good. Again, the service is what makes it hard to turn into your go to place. It is significantly overpriced but I think if you went in there and had a cheerful experience with your order always being right it's something you could look past. However when you spend $25 for two people to have 4 chicken tenders with a can soft drink each and you have to deal with rude snotty or otherwise just incompetent staff you end up saying I don't think we'll be back for a while. I have bought boneless wings here many times in large quantities for party's and work functions. I have been buying food from this franchise since they opened in Bristol. The food has generally been good. The service and deliver has gone way downhill recently. Orders placed by 11:15 am for 12:00 delivery have not been delivered at 12:30 and they have no way of getting their driver. I place calls to them and they say it is out for delivery. I've ordered large quantities of boneless wings for picnics. They are usually a big hit and I cut them in half so that everyone can sample all the different flavors. I just can't believe that when I make such a large purchase ($70), that I have to pay extra to have the different flavors packaged separately. And you always have to pay extra for dipping sauce. If I get an order just for myself, the amount of sauce is fine - but for the larger orders, they could afford to be a little more gerous for the sauce. read more

I tried the one in Newington before so I figured that one was really good why not try this one in Bristol. I wanted boneless buffalo wings so I had my boyfriend order them to pick up. When I brought my food home (boneless wings and Waffle fries) I found a live spider in my food I was so grossed out. I went the next day to speak with a manager and she implied that I put the spider in my food and that they don't have spiders at all. I went with my whole to the store to show her the proof because she was supposed to call me back about the situation and never did. I've been ordering from Wings for at least 2 years and probably every other time I order they forget to include the bleu cheese, which is super disappointing considering having it with hot wings is a major component. Sure, you can order an additional container for $1.50 to ensure you will have it with your meal, but who wants to do that when it should be included for free? The online ordering system is also questionable at best. Eight times out of ten you cannot order for that day/night instead, can only put in for a "future" order starting the next day, forcing you to have to call in your order. That in and of itself is torture considering the staff answering the phone is surly at best. Also, there has never, I repeat, NEVER been an area to put the coupon code they send you in the mail, on their site. How are you expected to save a few dollars if you can't even put a code in? So first and foremost I'll say that I love the food at Wings Over, which is why it's sad that I will never be eating there again. It's not the food that is the problem, it's the service. Today, I ordered myself a puddle jumper for delivery at 5:30pm. At 7:00pm the food had still not come so I called to ask about the status of my order. As soon as I told the girl on the phone my address she gave me a attitude and said " yeah your order is on your way." I thought that was odd, but I let it go and waited for my order. At 9 my order still hadn't come so I called again. I explained what had happened. First they told me it must be, because the order had not gone through. So I let them know that I was currently looking at the email confirmation. Next they told me that I must have ordered from a different location, until I told them my order confirmation said Wings Over Bristol on it. Finally the manager came to the phone, who was the same girl who had been snippy at 7. She then told me that what had happened was the the delivery guy had come to my apartment once, had knocked and called without a answer so he left, which explains the attitude from the 7 o clock call. He then did his other deliveries and then came back knocked on my door again and called with no answer so heart and the order got voided. This was news to me since, in the hours that I had waited, no one had knocked on my door or had called me. I let the manager know, to which she said " well maybe he went to the wrong door." Then she apologized, but it seemed pretty contrite, like she didn't believe me. The whole vibe I got during the entire phone call was that anything that went wrong was my fault not theirs. I will absolutely never ever do business with this dump again. The staff was useless, rude, and even the manager was a snarky little punk. This ordeal took place about a month ago but I have yet to hear back from anyone in management or corporate in regards to this, so I thought now would be a good time to share my lousy experience with everyone. I placed an order around noon on New Year's Eve as I fully expected it to be a crazy night for them and I wanted to ensure they had ample time to complete the order. The day shift was polite and ensured that the order would be ready between 6 - 6:30 PM which was perfectly fine. My brother I arrived at WOB at 5:57 PM. I walked in to find a frantic employee running the front of house (her name escapes me at this moment so we will call her, Miss Inept). She took my name, I paid for my order, and she told me that it would be ready in about 20 minutes. I said that's fine and that I'll go have a seat. She said, "Great, I will call your name when the order is ready." About 15 minutes pass while the dining area begins filling up with customers who were waiting to pick up their orders. During this time Miss Inept spent most of it apologizing for delays (which it later turns out did not exist), taking orders over the phone, and mostly disappearing in back wringing her hands in a completely useless effort to make the brigade complete orders faster. Anyways, 15 minutes pass and she emerges from the kitchen to state that anyone who had, "tenders" in their order would have to wait a little bit longer because they had ran out of, "tenders" and they needed to make a new batch which would take a while. My order consisted entirely of, "tenders" so I assumed that impacted me but I asked her for a status update anyway. She turned around, literally read the name off of ONE of seven orders sitting in the pass and told me, "It doesn't look like it's ready yet, let me check on that". I said that was fine, as they still had until 6:30 PM, she disappeared in back again to "check on that" for me. Well, she didn't come back for about 10 minutes and once she did she told me it would be a little bit longer. Several other patrons (visibly frustrated at this point) inquired about their orders and were met with the same fate as I. Miss Inept would read one of 7 tickets sitting in the pass and then disappear in back, literally forgetting what she was doing and coming back to ask who she was helping. I try to check again at 6:30 PM but Miss Inept is nowhere to be found. I'm a bit annoyed at this point but trying to be patient because I know it's a busy night. 6:45 PM rolls around and finally Miss Inept emerges from the back with an order for a gentleman who had been waiting there almost as long as I had. A sign of hope that orders might be complete. She hands him his order and starts asking for names to check on orders, she again checks on just ONE and disappears, forgetting who it was she was helping. About 2 minutes later the gentleman who had just received his order comes back in and loudly shouts for Miss Inept to tell her that they got his order wrong. She apologizes like a broken record and then disappears in back completely ignoring me as I said, "excuse me!" so that I could get a status on my order. She disappeared for about 20 minutes leaving me and 2 other customers stood at the counter. Finally, Miss Inept comes back frantic and confused, hands the gentleman his correct order, and I finally get my chance to ask for a status. She turns around again and looks at the, now 10, orders dying in the pass. She finally finds mine. At this point I'm angry so I ask her, "how long has that been sat there?" She says that it's been there for 30 minutes....I am now furious and demand a refund. She pukes more apologies with an attitude and goes to talk to her manager. I can see her from where I am standing and she starts to imitate me to her manager...I am now livid. Her snarky manager tells her, "I don't know what he wants, we can give him two bottles of soda."...I had clearly stated what I wanted but big boy didn't want to deal with it. I had enough of this place, my family and friends were waiting on food that was now cold so I decided I would leave. Before I left she started to read off names on other orders dying in the pass and it turns out 8 were for customers in the room waiting for 30+ min. I do not fault the cooks as they completed the order on time. I fault Miss Inept who is clearly not cut out for this simple job and is rude. I also fault the manager who clearly cannot manage and is terrible at hiring. If either of them had been doing their job, 10 orders would not have been left to die in the pass that night and they'd have satisfied customers. Big changes need to be made, until then avoid this place like the plague. If my family wasn't already waiting for the food, by that point it was too late to do anything else, I would've left but I will certainly NEVER go back. read more

This location is absolutely the worst restaurant and customer service I have ever dealt with. I used to order from the Newington location for years and never had an issue. I moved to bristol 2 years ago and this place has seriously gone downhill in the past year or so. I have had nothing but issues every time I order from there, especially when ordering delivery. They continuously mess up my order, even when I have placed an online order to ensure that the correct information was entered. I have called previously to complain and the person I spoke with told me as long as I order from the same phone the next time I will have a credit for my order because of the mistake, this was not true, nothing on my account when I called the next time. Last weekend I decided to give them another chance and placed an online order for delivery, well it was delivered incorrectly after 1.75 hours. After calling in and speaking with the manager, I was assured that there would be $25 credit on my account because of the mistake. I decided to order tonight to use the credit and pick up the order since their delivery is terrible. Well I went in to pick up my order, only to be told that there was a $17 credit for my account. While I'm glad there was actually some sort of credit this time, its ridiculous that they can outright lie to customers and get away with it. When I explained the situation to the manager, probably the same woman I spoke with last weekend, she told me there was nothing she can do since it says $17 in the computer. To top it off the place is disgustingly dirty. One of the employees had a cigarette(not lit but still) laying on the counter with food, gross!!! used to order from these people all the time... all of a sudden one night... mind you i havent moved.. it became (a non delivery zone) maybe racist? we always tipped the driver 20% since we both come from service industry, figured was ok.. asked to talk to manager this guy NATHAN got on the phone coudn't speak english let alone tell me why i can't order chicken to go.. they ( the girl that answered the phone and NATHAN) said they were calling the cops just because they couldn't tell me why i couldn't get delivery... i will never order from this place ever again.. i feel bad for the franchisee... cause this review has nothing to do with the food... i guess i have to give one star... cause it won't let me give none read more
