The place itself is cozy and cute and fun! The workers were nice and accommodating. The only thing keeping it from a perfect review is while the food was great and homemade fresh, it didn't have flavor, it was very smooth but just bland. Will try something else next time. Still worth the visit and trying and supporting.

Great atmosphere, quaint little café! Indoor seating and also and outdoor sections which is beautiful. Quick and thoughtful service, good came out quickly but not too quick so you know it was made fresh. You can also see everything being done behind the counter which is awesome to watch! Ruben egg rolls were phenomenal with a perfect filling ratio. Fresh egg roll wrapper with superb crunch. Bring it Burger was extremely fresh, not over the top with great flavors with the BBQ and ranch sauce. Only critique I have is its pretty salty, and a tall burger making it more difficult to eat. Overall fantastic experience, owner and staff are personable and kind. Be aware, there is limited parking! Highly recommend!!!!

I love finding places like this. Family owned and operated, unpretentious, good food, prepared with care! When I went today, Fina was out sick so her son was running the entire operation solo. From taking orders, running drinks, and cranking food out from the grill, he was fully on top of his game. The bacon cheeseburgers were divine, and the patty melts very melty. As they say, "good food takes time" so we were happy to wait and the results were totally worth it. I will eat here over fancy chain places that charge 2-3 times as much--it IS that good.

Fina's daughter is so kind! She could tell that my dad (who's very picky) didn't like his sandwich and made him a whole new one. You don't find people that care so much about the little things very often! 10/10 food and service, beautiful outdoor seating. We had a lovely time.

This place is a breath of fresh air! With the warm welcoming owners to the natural flavorful food. They serve both American fare and some European Mediterranean delights. I ordered their bbq ribs today for takeout. When I opened the box I was taken aback when I saw a side of sauce. Me, starving I dug into the ribs, I didn't even need the sauce they were seasoned Soo well with a Mediterranean blend of earthy seasoning that you would find in ground meat for mousaka or goulash. Just Amazing & melted in the mouth! Far cry from Chili's miserable ribs. It came with broccoli, the broccoli was the best broccoli I had from a restaurant before too; seasoned perfectly. They cook real European home cooked meals; Comfort food with a capital C. After I ate I was ready for bed lol I had their chicken gyro 3days ago & it wasn't overly salty like some pizza places do them. It was perfect.

This place was well reviewed, so we decided to make this the spot this time around. Ordering was done up front, but there were tables to sit at. Missus ordered while I took photos, and the food came out relatively quickly. Took pics and dug in. Sweet potato fries were the highlight. Hand cut, fried and seasoned. With ranch, they were really good. The burger and hot god were good in terms of quality and quantity. The condiments were a little overpowering though, ended up taking over a lot of the dish and really muddled the meat. The meat itself was lightly seasoned, relying on the condiments to bring the flavor. Not bad, but all elements should bring their own identity and add to a meal. The burger felt absent, and although flavorful was lacking that extra bit of salt or fat to make it truly shine. It's not bad at all, just lacking. Everything else was good, the price easily reasonable for the quality. It was just missing those finishing touches to be truly great

I got a grilled cheese and curly fries(same as I used to get a child lol, I was feeling nostalgic) He also got a soda and I got a water, all of this for around $22-23 About the same price (maybe a few dollars more) if we had gone to a regular fast food chain, but def worth the extra money. Plus I always love supporting a local business. It was also great to see they even had some of the old arcade games to play for free, I wanted to play but didn't, because all I'm thinking of is people eating with their hands and then touching the controls with unclean hands, maybe it's just the post covid era Only recommendation I have would be to have a hand sanitizer near the game. Such an amazing place!

I went back recently, after having not been for a while, and it was as good as ever. They have a delicious quinoa and veggie based patty, and I have a signature way I usually like to order it: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, Swiss, brown mustard, & their own hot relish. All of the ingredients are super fresh, and they execute everything they do extremely well, crucial with burgers, hot dogs and fries. The fries are hand cut, and I always go with the Cajun fries, accompanied by their addictive chipotle aioli. It actually has a kick, but also a strong depth of flavor. The Cajun seasoning on the fries is always just right. I have never had a bad experience there. Everyone is always super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They don't rush to make sure they have your burger/topping combination exactly right when you customize your own. It's actually a very nice space inside, too. I like eating there even though I have probably gotten mine to go slightly more often. Lately I prefer eating my burger & fries fresh there. Anytime someone asks for an in town food recommendation, my family & I say Riley's. It's a must try for foodies period, but especially if you're a burger lover. And again, they have a top tier veggie burger. It's a very special place.

Honestly, after reading the reviews, I wasn't too confident I would even be able to eke on in for dinner, but my God was I able to get in, and thank the LORD I was able to find a parking spot with such a full lot of cars! What started as a solo trip to J Timothy's became a welcome table event when fellow Yelper Angie showed up with her husband and invited me over to their table. I'm SO glad we were able to have that happen! It became one of the best post-event dinners I've had yet. It did take a bit of time to decide between the three of us, but we eventually split our checks, with me taking care of my order and Angie taking care of the rest. We had Kate as a waitress, and might I say, she was not only nice and efficient, but she was very knowledgeable of the menu and very helpful and accommodating. I immediately requested a take-out box and she delivered just like that. She was even knowledgeable on what foods and such were made in-house and what wasn't, which is honestly very impressive! Also note, we all got to have a taste of everything that came in tonight, so we got lots of food to get to! We did have the wings for our appetizers. I did the 10-wing Dirt Style Honey BBQ Gold for mine, and they got I wanna say 20(?) Buffalo wings. They were cooked to perfection, and I was able to twist the bones off the flats. Both flavors were good, but even though it could possibly be my bias talking, I did prefer my flavor of wings. I will say the Buffalo had that signature spice level there, but it didn't overpower the wing, which is awesome! Oh, and there were also the potato skins which was rated perfectly, and that tasted really good as well. For the entrees, this is why I immediately requested the box. My order was the full rack of ribs. Angie got the chicken pot pie. Usually, I don't eat pot pies, but the one Angie ordered was honestly very good. Flaky, buttery crust top, and savory filling or chicken, potatoes, peas, etc. As for my ribs, whenever I tried to cut them, all the meat kept falling off the bone! That's how you know it was cooked properly! And dear God were these ribs were delicious, succulent, and delicious! Did I mention they were delicious? The BBQ sauce was a symphony of bliss that helped make each bite of rib taste like I went to Cloud Nine! The coleslaw it came with was good, but it's not something I would say can compete with the South. But good all the same. Drinks were great too. I got the Dragon Fruit Martini(?), and that was sweet and relaxing to have after a long summer and a long drive to Plainville. Oh, and we also got dessert! Again we picked different things: Angie ordered the "Not Fried Chicken" while I went with the Key Lime Pie. Wherever these guys get their key lime pie from, keep them coming and let me know so I can get some more myself! The raspberry sauce was a great choice for accompaniment and complimented the pie nicely. And the slice was divine! The Not Fried Chicken is a very innovative idea, and it tasted good as well. I can see now why this place gets so much love. It's insane how good this place is in just about every aspect! The sink did take a bit to learn, but that was about my only criticism, other than that this place easily gets 5 stars from me, and I am so glad to have had this dinner with Angie and meet her husband. #KeepYelping

Timothy's Tavern when I visit back in the northeast…read more Ordered both the Gold BBQ and Buffalo flavors dirt style, and they were absolutely delicious and dank as per usual. The Gold BBQ wings were my favorite--crispy, sticky, and packed with flavor. They had the perfect balance of sweet, smoky, and tangy without being overpowering. The Buffalo wings were excellent too, with a classic sauce that had just the right amount of heat and a great buttery finish. The wings came out crispy even after being sauced, which is harder to do than most places make it look. Service was friendly, the atmosphere felt like a classic neighborhood tavern, and you can tell they've been doing this for a long time. If you're anywhere near Plainville and like wings, this place is definitely worth the stop. I'll be thinking about those Gold BBQ wings for a while.
