Joe's makes a good slice; The crust is chewy and soft like a pretzel; The sauce is excellent, and there's plenty of cheese. Overall a great bite. It's Christmas Eve and Joe's place was open, I didn't feel like cooking because I am doing that tomorrow. With that said let me jump into this review the Grinder bread was toasted and fresh what disappointed me was the bacon it was diced up I hate that I love my bacon with full slabs on them I don't know if it's the cheapest way to do this but I absolutely hate diced bacon. The wings were on the small side but they were cooked with perfection not over cooked and dry so that I was absolutely happy with that their Blu cheese didn't have that kick to it was just OK not great and the pizza was good, over all I would it a 3 1/2star rating. read more

I've done takeout here a few times in the past couple of weeks. My wife isn't a fan of Joe's, she feels it's "just average, nothing special". I disagree with her, I like the food they serve. One night I brought home a large pepperoni pizza and 8 honey BBQ wings. I thought the pizza was good (not the best I've ever had, but better than average), and the wings were decent. I've also ordered the $6 Lunch wrap special, it was also to my liking. Very generous portion of fries came w/ the wrap, so much that I couldn't even finish them all. All in all, Joe's will continue to be on my list of lunch places while in Torrington. They also offer a nice selection of pizza slices. read more

Okay, after hearing rave reviews about their wings from a coworker, I just had to try Joe's. You know, it's funny... I've lived within walking distance of this place for years now, and I've never been. For some reason I just wrote it off as "yet another pizza place in Torrington". DONT BE LIKE ME!!! The wings are phenomenal. If you ever had "wings over Bristol" or another place of the ilk, you know what to expect from Joe's. Very fresh ingredients, great freshly breaded and fried chicken, and amazing sauces. I paid $16 for a 1 pound combo, for just myself. It came with a pound of wings (I got half mustang ranch and half HOT.) about a POUND of fries, and bout 10-12 FAT chicken wings. I'm 6'5" 200lbs and even I couldn't finish it. Ok we ordered wings and we got home and opened the tray we had larhe, boneless chicken STRIPS. They had a lot of breading. We had called prior to ask what flavor wings where available. The person on the phone never said they where boneless chicken tenders. Very disappointed because we ordered wings. I called back when we arrived home after discovery the tenders. The woman on the phone said it says they are "boneless " on mental. I told her we called bc we didn't have a menu available and she said notify about bones chic tenders. My boyfriend LOVES their wings. I'm a skeptic when it comes to wings because every time I've had them from other places they weren't fried or cooked enough and they ended up having a soggy flabby outer skin. My boyfriend decided to order a bunch of wings one day and he let me pick a flavor since I'm not a spicy gal. I went wit the teriyaki. Holy YUM. I've been converted into a wing lover. The skin has a nice crunch to it, just the right amount of sauce, and the meat is flavorful. The pizza isn't half bad either! Will definitely be ordering some more wings soon! read more

Great pizza! We had our son's birthday party at the KidsPlay museum downtown and they recommended a few pizza places, and one of them was Joe's. We are so glad we chose them, the pizza was so good we had people asking us where we had gotten it. Many of these people were from Torrington and they had never had Joe's until that day, many say it was the best pizza in town, and I believe it. The service was great, we called a few days before to place the order and had them deliver it right at 11:30 when they were officially open for the day. The price was a bargain and we will definitely recommend them and will use them again! read more

We ordered a salad, lemon pepper wings and the joes special pizza. The chef salad was great with fresh ingredients, the house dressing tasted like a stale container smells though... The wings were soggy (maybe we should have ordered them extra crispy) but had very little seasoning. The the pizza had little to no cheese on it, (which is fine if that's what you like) we could see the crust under the paste and toppings.... JOE'S PIZZA has really good wings! The pizzas have only gotten better with a new recipe Joe came out with earlier this year. House dressing is different from your traditional house dressings, but that's good too. My kids could be a commercial for Joe's Pizza as they beg for it. I eat here every week. The wings are amazing I usually get the honey BBQ or honey mustard. You also need to try the chicken parm grinder and Joe's steak and cheese and get it with American cheese. The panini lunch special is worth picking up. You get a side of curly fries with the panini. Overall great food at great prices. read more

Good sandwich and pizza shop. Our lemon chicken grinder was excellent with light seasoning, toasted nicely on bread that seemed fresher and was the right ratio for the grinder, not overwhelming to the other ingredients. The Greek large salad was huge and tasty-- would have liked the iceberg to have been cut up a little more but indicated to me that they did things in house. The kids had the Hawaiin pizza that not only came out fast but also they said was good. Glad we stopped at a local place rather than a chain. read more

Seriouslt. I have been giving Joe's Pizza Chances For Years To send a decent pizza! Apparently it's not possible. I live less than 1/4 mile from the store but it's impossible to get even a warm pizza from this shop. I ordered a pizza tonite and was told it would take 1 -1.15 hrs to get here. It got here cold at 6:59. Driver was very nice and apologetic but I told him to take the cold pie with him since I'd called to inquire where the hell my pizza was and was hung up on twice! I have to say, the food here isn't terrible. But the god AWFUL service will deter me from ever ordering again. We ordered a wing combo meal with fries and onion rings, very simple. First off, there was an issue with them separating the two different kinds of wings even though someone had a severe food ALLERGY. Second off, they didn't even get our order right. The male that took the order even read the order back correctly, and we still didn't recieve the correct wings. Third off, the delivery man was so unbelievably rude, yet still expected a tip?! I don't think so. Finally, we decided to call Joe's explaining the mix up with the wings. There was no solution over the phone, so we showed up at Joe's and asked to speak to the owner. After ten minutes of going back and forth, we still didn't get an apology, and he proceeded to very rudely saying, "Well I'm not in the business of giving out free food." We weren't asking for free food, but there's no reason why, as a business owner, you can't satisfy your customers. If I could give zero stars for this review, I would. I've been coming to joes since I moved to Torrington. I have yet to find better wings anywhere close to here. Pizza is great aswell. The guys here see me maybe twice a month and are the friendliest people ive ever met at a pizza place.
