We are incredibly grateful for the speech therapy support our twins received over the past year. They each worked individually with Ms. Asha and Ms. Johanna, and we truly couldn't have asked for better therapists. Both of them are professional, kind, and most importantly genuinely care about the children they work with. Every single day after the sessions, they took the time to talk with us, explain what activities they worked on, and share the focus areas for our kids. That communication meant so much to us and helped us support our twins at home too. Thanks to their dedication and guidance, we recently had our twins evaluated by our health provider and were told they are doing great and no longer need to continue speech therapy. Now they talk nonstop, and we know Ms. Asha and Ms. Johanna played a huge role in that progress. We can't thank them enough. My son has been with Wings speech and Language center for about a year now. I can express how thankful I am. Ms Jeanine is his speech therapist and she is amazing. She listens to my concerns and creates appropriate goals for my son. She pushes him to achieve his goals and he is mastering them before the expected date. He went from non verbal to reading as articulating his words correctly. We still have a way to go but overall he's done amazing with her. Blessed to have her as his therapist. This review is aimed toward the business not the staff. The therapists at Wings are A+ and go above and beyond with the children. The lobby is a blackhole where cell phone reception is non existent. Been coming once a week for 3 years and have only been able to utilize the Guest Wi-Fi for 2 months. I along with other families have inquired about the Guest Wi-Fi that was posted on a flyer in the lobby and is detailed in the business photos only to be told that it's 'not available'. Was left me on READ after messaging about this highly elusive Wi-Fi. read more

I have to say my sons been going here since last October so it's been a couple of months.. and it's been GREAT! My son wouldn't wanna even try to talk we tried miss Rachel videos and everything but once he started coming and working with miss Taylor he's literally improved SO MUCH. He can now sign his wants and also say lots of words. Knows how to say lots of environmental/animals sounds. He enjoys going and immediately knows miss Taylor when he sees her. She's even sent us progress updates. I've never had any of the staff be rude to me or my husband. Even when we've probably been annoying about making sure as many of our sessions get rescheduled with miss Taylor. The building itself in the back always does little fun activities so every once in awhile all the kids can play and learn with one another. For example for Christmas they had built little snow men in there and have little goodie bags for the kids to take home. Another time the theme was camping . & often times the staff will all get dressed up in unison like pajama day ect ect. I can't give this place enough credit to be honest. ! I don't regret asking with my dr for the referral, because my son has came such a long way in such a short amount of time. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would! The therapist we met with DID NOT want to be there!! He seemed very annoyed and frustrated. Did not attempt at all to interact with my toddler and during the FIVE minutes of allowed played time, he didn't even bother to observe my child. He kept looking at his nails and everywhere and anywhere but at my child. Mind you, my child behaved the whole time and only threw a tantrum when 5 MINUTE play time was over! Any kid would throw a tantrum when only allowed to play for five minutes!! THIS BUSINESS CONTINUES TO ONLY BE IN IT FOR THE MONEY! So mad that I didn't read the reviews before coming here! read more

Update: 3/27/2019 They now have a 90% attendance policy requirement. Unfortunately, for the social skills class, they don't currently offer makeups. There is also not excused absences. Whether it's a school related Function or an illness. They don't care. They have a huge waitlist, (the area is lacking in quality speech service and wings is the best in this area) but it comes down to insurance and money. Stil no WiFi years later. I'd give them 5 stars if it weren't for 2 problems I have. #1- if the therapist cancels on you and you can't make it up, it's used against the client. #2- people have jobs and work from their computers/phones and Wings states they have a "guest" wifi, but they don't. They can afford it. They get plenty of client/insurance $ to have a wifi account set up for guests. Just as they have a job, so do I. Other then that, the therapists are great. read more

My daughter has been seeing Miss Angelica V for the past two years and loves going to speech therapy. I can just tell she genuinely cares for my daughter and my daughter's speech has improved drastically. Angelica spends time after each session to explain to me what they went over, daughters progress, and how to help her improve her progress at home. She's proactive in her diligent note taking and coming up with new goals all the time. I'm honestly worried about when my daughter doesn't need to go to speech anymore, because she enjoys it so much. read more

My experience with Wings has been mostly positive. We have worked with many therapists but have most experience with Ms. Jennipher and Ms. Angelica. Both have been wonderful for my two sons. My oldest who started with Ms. Jennipher over two years ago has advanced so much! He loves her and enjoys his 2x a week sessions with her. The office staff could work on calling back for make ups and I do have to remind them a few times to get it scheduled, but other than that I've had a great experience read more

My son has been going to this location for a month now and they have been nothing but pleasant. From the intake to walk through wings speech and language is throughout and makes parents feel comfortable with the help their children are receiving. Yes they do have a strict attendance policy but for the services being provided as well as the need for so many children I appreciate their need for consistency so my child can get a spot to be helped. They have activities that suit children of all ages to help them with experiences that they may need to continue their development. Every therapist I have seen has been very pleasant happy and very kind with all the children in the office not just their own clients. The structure is well rounded and clear to parents and children alike so there is no inconsistency and children become comfortable. The only negative is while waiting for your child's appointment which is around an hour long they do not have any Wi-Fi has to work on work related or school related things while waiting. This would be an added benefit to all parents waiting for their children. read more

I am surprised about all the negative reviews. My two year old daughter who has Autism has been coming here since late February and I absolutely adore her speech therapist Jennifer. If your child is non-verbal don't come here. They won't even try to help your child and they will blame it on you! They won't work with the families and their policies are horrific! Even if Wings cancels a session you have to make it up or they will drop you. I've never missed a session for my son and I still get threatened that they're going to drop him. All they are after is the almighty dollar. They could care less about the human they should be treating. read more

Missed some days because I work in electronics and its the holiday season and was asked to not return. Kaiser pays for the visits for my son who needs speech therapy but I guess they could care less. All about the almighty dollar here. You can see that because they moved locations to rack in more clients. Oh well if you didnt know you can get speech therapy from your local school district once your kid turns two. Just like everything in this country for profit sucks. read more

They see children of different ages and disabilities. My child under 2 with developmental delay. Pros: The therapists (my child has seen several) do know what they are doing. They are professional, knowledgeable, warm and engaging! They follow child lead yet provide structure, limits and many opportunities for communication in a play based environment (my child was 18 months when he started) which was very important to me. I liked that they start with a whole group activity in a big play room to encourage pro social communication and then break into different rooms for individual therapy. The last 15 minutes they consult with parents. The therapists tailor therapy to the level of client. They change up activities each month according to theme. They use visuals and communication boards and have core vocabulary posted up and use it, which is great for non-verbal kids or kids with autism! In the first sessions I was allowed after much insistence by me to be in the session and my little kid responded to the praise, stickers and bell and bubbles the therapist would use to encourage a correct responses and my child progressed from one word to 2-word utterances. Cons: I don't agree with some of their policies. Parents are not invited to participate or view session, they have to stay in waiting room, which is ok for older children, but for a child under 2 or children with behavioral or limited language expression, it's not. Wifi does not work. I was not comfortable letting my child who already suffers from anxiety be taken away from me by a stranger. One therapists told me "I had to pull off the band-aid." They do drop you if you cancel more than once, yet they cancel all the time. At times no one seems to answer or return calls. Front office could use more customer service training. Conclusion: They have something good with solid strategies, but parents and family are not at the core of intervention. By modeling for parents and treating parents as joint therapists, therapy can carry over to the home, which would benefit kids more. Because of this I looked elsewhere that makes it their mission to include the parents in therapy to fully benefit the child. If your child is older, has more language, or more independent this is a great place, but if you are a concerned parent that wants to learn how to implement strategies for your child to generalize skills, look for another place. read more

Terrible service. The front office does not know what they are doing. I tried to speak to the owner to work things out but she was not willing to assist. If i can't trust the staff neither the less, I can't trust that they would provide the accurate services to my daughter. They are very unprofessional, rude and do not have the necessary skills to work with the public. So disappointed. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. My daughter had been going to WINGS for about 5 years. We started going when they were small at the other location and when they had no front desk person and the therapist would consult with the parent in the small waiting area they had. We ended up leaving WINGS because their number one priority is $$$. It's unfortunate that after so many years and so much money we spent on copays there (due to insurance) my daughter who was their client was not a priority. Management and staff seemed to care more about their policy about absence and they never cared about my daughter and did not acknowledge her improvements and all the years my daughter went there without missing sessions. If you have a child with severe disabilities then be careful with this place because pretty much the child can't miss a session. What I got from management was that my daughter was worth $$$ and they'll just go to the next kid who is on the waiting list. This place showed us they were interested in the insurance money and copays instead of my daughter's improvement. Thanks but no thanks WINGS. We took our insurance money elsewhere. read more

My son has a small lisp and does not qualify for services through my insurance carrier because he falls within the low-average range. As a preventive measure I began seeking services and planned to pay out of pocket. Wings was recommended by the Kaiser speech pathologist as a vender they work with. I called for prices on an evaluation and hourly services. Wings was on the higher end for the evaluation itself $450 & the hourly rate was comparable to other providers. Since the evaluation was on the higher end I asked specifics about the assessment itself ( I have a background in the use and interpretation of various assessments similar to the assessments used in speech). The clerk was unable to answer my questions, but said that she would have one of the speech pathologist call me back. She took down my contact information and questions. I NEVER heard back. So, I DEFINITELY agree with the other reviews. This business is like a factory and does not take consumer questions. Just hand over your insurance cards/payments and no questions please. I found a great provider who was open to all my questions and concerns (Sunflower Therapies). read more

My daughter likes her therapist. What I don't like is the management: they've cancelled her appts for 1) rain, 2) early office closure (for a meeting), 3) illness of therapist --ok, 4) vacation of therapist--ok. I've been accommodating and have not complained including the first two reasons but now after coming for seven months, one time I forgot to call to cancel (and felt terrible and apologized) when my daughter was ill and their response is, "You know you will have to pay the $25 no show fee on your next visit." We drive a minimum of 30 minutes (more, depending on traffic) to get here each week. I called Kaiser and asked about her attending a different therapy center (when she was first approved, this was the only choice that had an opening) one closer to home, but they said she would have to be reevaluated, so then I might mess up or delay her chance to have therapy. read more
