Somebody yells your name and YOU pick it up. When done, YOU bus your own table. No humans. So what is the tip for? 5 wings and fries is like $13. No drink. A little pricey but ok. The wings; Garlic Buffalo, with ranch fries. The fries were good. Coated with a batter. So if you like regular fries, not sure you would like them. The wings tasted OK. The sauce was pretty mild and packed with I assume jarred garlic bits. The wings were soggy and swimming in sauce. I ate 3. No point in wet soggy wings. The portion was very large - cook the wings longer? I am not sure of the reviews. Maybe this place is new and it is a hit and miss. Maybe people come out to the eating area so they can see what's going on? The look is standard chip shop. Nothing fancy.

This was my first time at the Cocky Rooster Short Pump location. I haven't been to the original…read morelocation in years because it was usually on the pricier side for the portion. I was pleasantly surprised with this visit. The side portions were extremely generous for smalls and the chicken tenders were more like chicken breasts. They have so many sauces and dry rubs to choose from. I like that they allow you to choose a dry rub for your fries to spice them up and set them apart from standard fries. Extra sauces like ranch are an extra charge and they provide plenty to make it worth it. This location was very busy on a Friday night. I highly recommend ordering take out in advance. They do have seating inside if you prefer dining in.

My hubby and I came here on a whim for a date night, and boy, did they not disappoint. We thought…read morewe were going to have to wait for a while, but we were pleasantly surprised that the patio was open on a first-come, first-served basis, so we sat outside. It was a pretty nice evening with a light breeze. It was perfect, since they had over-the-top heaters and then a beautiful heater that came on at the end of the patio. We started out by ordering some old-fashioned drinks to sip, and they were amazing! Beautifully made and spot on with the flavor. For food, we decided to order from the three-course dinner menu. My husband started with a steakhouse wedge salad, and I had the chicken tortilla soup. Wow, both were so yummy. My husband could not say enough about his salad. My soup was bursting with flavor and full of chicken. And because we apparently needed to be extra, we had to order the lobster spinach queso because it sounded amazing, which it certainly was. It was full of lobster, spinich and pepper jack cheese!!! For the entree, my husband had the wood-grilled chicken, and I ordered the grilled salmon and shrimp. He said the entree was incredible. He loved the mushrooms and tomatoes grilled on top and especially raved about the parmesan mashed potatoes. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. My grilled salmon and shrimp were spot on. The shrimp were thick, and the salmon was grilled to perfection. Both were topped with a light aji amarillo sauce that was fantastic together. To me, the ancient grains pilaf topped the whole thing off, the salmon with the pilaf and sauce were a perfect three-piece combo that had me wanting more and more with each bite. For dessert, we both ordered the petite creme brulee cheesecakes. At this point, I was bursting, but the gorgeous vision in front of me could not be wasted!!!! The cheesecake had a perfect light crunch on top and paired beautifully with the fruit and dollop of whipped cream on the plate. Our server was kind and prompt with our food, even when she seemed very busy. Overall, it was fantastic, and we have plans to return.

The ambiance was quiet as we just missed the lunch crowd. We ordered the shrimp fried rice with honey old bay wings, a cheesesteak with fries, and peach fountain drink. R Town Wings sells an assortment of carryout items: chicken, subs, ribs, Chinese food, etc. Our wait wasn't long. The wings were cooked well and seasoned properly with honey and old bay. The shrimp fried rice was fresh and not greasy either with an adequate amount of shrimp. The cheesesteak and fries were good as well and that peach drink was SO good! All in all our food was good and will be visiting it on a future visit in the area.

They ask how long it'll be before you get there, and if some time passes and you haven't arrived yet, they'll actually call to see how far away you are. We were about five minutes out when they called, and the lady on the phone said she would have the cooks start making our food then. I thought that was interesting. When we got there, we didn't have to wait at all, which was nice. They do have a seating area, but we took our food to go. The space was somewhat busy with more cars outside waiting by the sidewalk. Service was overall feiendl The wings were good overall! We got: * Lemon Pepper * Lemon Pepper Honey * Ranch * BBQ * Teriyaki All the flavors were solid and their ranch dressing was actually not gross (I've had a few bad experiences with that dressing recently). The shrimp fried rice was also good and made a nice addition to the wings. Overall, it was a pretty smooth experience. The food was ready when we arrived, and everything tasted good. Would order from here again.

*Note: my visit was before the C-19 restrictions. I had this in drafts, and forgot about it.*…read more Being originally from Columbus, OH I guess been to the original restaurant long ago in the late 90's. Due to the closeness of the station, our private ambulance/EMS crews ate there a lot. They even gave us 50% off on duty, and 25% off other times. The family liked it too. I do recall some of the patrons calling it "Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck". I'll explain that at the end. But, times change; I now live in Midlothian, VA retired from EMS after 31 years. We haven't been to a BWW in years, so we used a gift card that was left over from Christmas. Though the decor was "sterile" looking, the restaurant was rather dirty. Especially for a weekend meal, with the restrooms needing a bit of attention. Both my wife's and I had very over cooked/dry wings. With the patronage load being quite low the server was slow and had enough facial piercings to set off metal detectors clear out at Richmond International- but he was quite pleasant and articulate. I'm sorry y'all, but our visit was not impressive. I don't know what has transpired in the last few years, but the food and surroundings need some spiffing up to say the least. Oh, the "Weck" that I mentioned above. I was told back in my Columbus Paramedic days that it was a beef sandwich with the bun soaked with au jus. I had one of these later in NY state. Our Paranormal Investigation team was doing a haunted dry docked US Navy ship, and the restaurant we ate at served them. After trying it, all I can say is "You need this BACK on your menu, BWW!". Absolutely delicious!!! Thanks for your time! --J. "Doc" Lykins, VaPES Paranormal Team.
