I called to order wings today and kindly asked the young woman who picked up if their lemon pepper wings had any gluten in them. (I have allergies) She seemed very confused at the question and said I don't know. I asked if there was someone there I could talk to that did know. "Maybe my manager?" When she returned she still had no idea. I said most restaurants have an allergen list that you can usually look at and should be trained on. She told me, "I don't think our company has one of those things." After plenty of pausing on her end I kindly suggested she chat with her manager about getting better educated about the allergens in the food and said have a nice day. 30 seconds later, googling their website I found an allergen menu. I should have started there... I'll never return to this restaurant and I'll tell you why. This lack of education and initiation from the employee and manager tell me there are A LOT more problems at this store and I'm not interested in experiencing them. Had never tried Wingstop before so we swung in for a quick after school snack/late lunch. It was very clean and well taken care of on the inside. We were greeted with a friendly hello right away and they were patient while we decided what we wanted. We ordered a three piece tender meal and an eight piece boneless wing meal using the hickory barbecue and the hot honey flavors. Came out to around $30, which feels a little too expensive but is probably on par with how things are priced these days. It took a bit to get our food, but it looked like they were training someone so we totally understood! The food was fresh and hot, offering some pretty delicious flavors. I personally felt the fries were too sweet, almost questioning whether someone used sugar instead of salt LOL. Overall, it was a good meal and I would return here for wings. My order was taken immediately and the guy behind the counter was very outgoing and great customer service. The store is smaller and only a couple small tables. Ok, the wings were hot and crispy. I have continuously gotten multiple orders of flats with feathers still attached. I had contacted the manager on duty. I could not remember his name. It had been a couple months. I am barely on that side of town. When I had went to get my comped chicken flat wings, I was told that they would not honor it due to a 48 hour policy. I was not told of this policy and I was turned away. I have spent a lot of money here, and I am very particular in receiving flats as well as not having multiple feathers in multiple orders. Dan refused me my wings that were supposed to be a comped 10 piece flats. I am a fat girl but I think that if you pay for something there should be anything wrong and if it was comped by a manager it should be accepted. When we got to our spot, realized we got "boneless" not "classic" as we wanted and everything was warm/cold. Waited over 10 minutes while others came and went, listening to an employee say the word "f$ck" while standing at the register while kids were present. Came out to grab my phone from the car. Upon returning to the store was asked by someone else if I was picking up. Proceeded to start telling him that we had checked in over 10 minutes ago, but he cut me off and said, "I just need your name." Waited another 5 minutes and our food showed up. Should've checked our order before we left because we drove all the way back to Palo Cedro to find out it was wrong. Called the store. Spoke with the manager (who oddly sounded like the same guy who was using foul language). Was told we'd have to return to the store for a refund or the correct order because they require the food to be returned. But then also stated he'd post my receipt and we'd be able to come back for the correct order within 48 hours - I clarified the requirement of the food being returned and then he said no, "we don't want two day old chicken." Also informed him of our bad experience from the moment we walked into the store and it being our first time there. Really no sympathies on his end. We will not be back. It's set up looking like a fast food joint but works more like a takeout house...a real restaurant that cooks fresh, real, food! They have three, four set tables that work more like a waiting station, you could probably eat there. I was the only one at the tables waiting for my walk-in order. Rookie mistake. People were coming in for a quick pick-up and gone. My first pro move was to order my wings without the sauce. The way you test a good wing is to be able to bite into that crispy skin...and it was. We are traveling through Redding. We are from the coast never tried Wingstop. Unfortunately it took 30 minutes to get our order when they were not busy. All (3) tables were taken so we sat on the bench at the door waiting our turn for a table. When a table became available my husband, 1 year old, and myself were about to get up when this employee sat at the table. So I guess we have to eat our food in the car which is NOT ideal with a baby. We got no napkins in our bag either. The wings were pretty good though. That's where you got 2 stars. read more

I'll start with positives- Davion greeted us friendly as it was our first time in. I have a 6 year old and as we were trying to read over the menu he interacted with him and gave him the opportunity to use his name for the order. He took our order correctly and politely. The fries were above average in seasoning but somewhat soggy. You do get a ton of them though. The ranch dip was good. The flavors of the wings were okay but not spectacular. I ordered lemon pepper and the Cajun. Now for the negatives- Took WAY too long. I think it was almost 30 minutes after we ordered. They were not busy at the time either. Overpriced--I had the classic/traditional bone in wings and there wasn't much meat on them. I paid $16 for 8 wings/fries/soda. There was no trash can in the dining area other than the tiny one you throw your straw paper into by the fountain. We had to toss our trash behind the counter into a can by the kitchen. No napkins were available. They had a roll of paper towels from the bathroom sitting on the counter for customers to tear off. My friend and I stopped in for lunch today. The young lady who greeted us was friendly and helpful. As I'm avoiding carbs presently I was happy that their combos are available with carrots and celery in lieu of fries. I ordered 10 pieces with 5 Cajun and 5 atomic. Ok, we needed to sit down, and there were only 2 tables. We got one. There were no napkins or napkin dispenser.... at a wing place? The wings were cooked appropriately with crispy skin and the meat inside was still moist. The Cajun sauce/rub mixture is a winner. I'd recommend it. The atomic was, well, not what I'd call atomic. Nothing close to volcano sauce at Maxwell's. I could eat it without dipping it into blue cheese. I was in no means bad, but a bit disappointing with a name like atomic. The blue cheese dressing was very good with nice chunks of bleu cheese in it. Finally, my lunchmate got the fries and said they were really good. Even though we were sitting our food was packaged to go... with no napkins inside. So, I recommend the Cajun wings and appreciate the option to forgo fries and have crisp veggies, even if the fries are good! read more

However, unlike previous visits, the lemon pepper wings were very, very underseasoned. Quite a few actually seemed entirely plain, I even went through the order to make sure I hadn't made a mistake and ordered plain, and I hadn't. Honestly looked (and tasted) like they put half an order of plain in with the lemon pepper... The time before when I tried the hot wings and lemon pepper wings, and the admittedly delicious Cajun corn, I really enjoyed wing stop. My only complaint was how quickly the bill would rack up. When I got inside it took about 2 minutes for someone to meet me at the counter. There were three staff members talking in the back of the kitchen. Eventually a gentleman came up and asked to help me. I told him about the order and that I was early and he said he'd bump me up. After he went back he came out saying he didn't see the order. I showed him my phone with the order and time, and he then went back into the kitchen. My food ended up coming out right at 1:30, so while inconvenient it still came out when I scheduled the order. My main reason for marking two stars is the customer service. The young lady working the front couldn't have cared less about customers. She would hang out in the kitchen until customers come in and would meander up front with no sense of urgency or even a hello. She would ask what people want, punch it into the touchscreen, hand them a receipt, and walk back to the kitchen. Her body language gave off an annoyed vibe. She also had her pants hanging down so that everyone could clearly see her bright blue underwear. I know fast food isn't the most glamorous profession, but I'm still a believer in having some standards. The rest of the staff seemed like they were not enjoying themselves. They were all prompt and even made sure to check the orders when customers were picking up their food from the counter, but I didn't see any smiles or hear any pleasantries with customers. It was brief interaction and then right back to the kitchen, which could have just been a result of being busy fulfilling orders. Im giving a 3 star instead of a 1 star because everything would have been great if there wasn't 10 pounds of SALT in my food. No question about it this was THE SALTIEST food I have ever been served from any food establishment. I put the fries in a wire basket and shook off the seasoning for about a minute and got a bunch off and they were still on the edge of being inedibly salty.
