It came out to be around $8 which wasn't too bad. As I waited, I met a friend who was also ordering so I chatted with her for a bit. When my name was called, I looked over the basket and was extremely disappointed. Not only was it not classic, it was boneless! And not only was it boneless, they were the size of golf balls. They were no smaller than my nuts shriveled up in the winter snow. But being the reserved, calm person that I am, I told the employee about my wrong order and was willing to wait "14 minutes" - on top of the 10 minutes that I was already waiting on for my REAL order. I told myself to not lose my cool and keep it chilly, like an autumn breeze. And boy, did my patience reward me. Little did I know, the manager was right there and he had witnessed the commotion. He came over to my table and gave me the 10-piece boneless wings for FREE. He told me that he will have to throw them away if I didn't want them. WHOOOO WHEEEE! While munching on the boneless, within 5 minutes, my Classic wings came in. Bless that manager. Bless his soul. After a while, my friend had to leave early and she couldn't finish her fries so she gave them to me. YEEEEE HAWWW! Monday Tuesday 60 cent boneless wings. Been here two times, food is what you would expect from a normal wingstop, nothing too special. But I know everyone has wingstop cravings every now and then, which makes the food that much better. All the employees here are young college students and are really friendly. Lemon Pepper is the best flavor in my opinion, but thats just my taste buds. Call in and order ahead! The line can get long sometimes. If you like veggies like me, order the 99 cent veggie sticks. Seriously, I can't think of anything better than a meaty, saucy, hot, greasy and crispy chicken wing. These babies have a special place in my fat clogged heart. I've always been loyal to BWW and stuck my nose up at Wing Stops all around because i felt they were more 'fast food' and hence lower quality (BWW is very fine dining!!). I'm wishing I had given Wing Stop a chance earlier in my life because I may be a convert after visiting the Davis location. I got the 10 piece classic bone in wings, and after carefully deliberating I chose to get teriyaki on 5 and parmesan garlic on 5. The wings came out piping hot and I washed them down with what better than BEER! Wing Stop has 3 beers on draft and a pretty good bottled selection including cider (bottled beers $3.75). Clearly, I really enjoyed myself here. I think Wing Stop added a casual and much needed variation to the Davis dining scene. The girl who took our order was very nice and helpful in answering all my wing related questions and gave a thoughtful opinion about which sauces were better, which guided me during my deliberation. Finally! A wing stop closer to me. I used to drive all the way to Sac just for Wing Stop. I don't think the location is too bad. It's near The border of downtown Davis. But since it's Wing Stop, it should be ok. I ordered the 15 piece for 2. Which came with fries and 2 drinks. I got the BBQ and lemon pepper flavor. Once our order came out, the guy told us they had an accident in the back and dropped two of our wings. So they're making more and they'll give us 5 to replace the two they were missing. How nice of them. I really like the BBQ and lemon pepper. Everyone loves Wing Stop's fries. I think they're fries are average. It was kind of soggy and I guess I just prefer my fries not so sweet. But I can still eat them. Now, the cool part about Wing Stop is their awesome soda machine which can dispense 100+ of different sodas (or so it claims). I was disappointed that they didn't have one of the popular drinks, coke! I settled for Cherry Sprite so it's fine. I squeezed some of their limes in their and it tasted awesome. (Their limes were kind of dry though, so took me a couple of wedges) I would come back to this Wing Stop. Nothing wrong with it. I do enjoy the environment and the employees are nice. WingStop is fairly simple and straightforward: Order the wings you like (boneless or bone-in), choose the sauce/rub that you would like, drink or fries, and done. The wings I ordered were the Louisiana Rub and Lemon Pepper. -Louisiana Rub Has a nice crust of their rub which gives a spicy and salty kick. The crust helped keep the chicken wing fairly moist on the inside, which preserved the tenderness of the chicken wing. The resulting crunchy crust and tenderness provided a nice contrast of textures. Good but may be on the saltier and spicy side. -Lemon Pepper The lemon pepper was a bit disappointing. It lacked that distinct lemony "zing." There was also a lack of the heat from the pepper. The chicken wing itself was cooked well, but the flavors just weren't there; it just needs more lemon and pepper in order to really shine. Decent, but a bit on the bland side. Since Davis has no other "specialty" chicken wings stop, WingStop is able to fill up that niche well. They also have family - size options which would be great for tail-gating parties. I always crave wings but 30 minutes after I devour my 10 piece combo I just feel like shit (like right now :(). Their fries, with that tiny kick of Brown sugar, are to die for. They get pretty soggy, but oddly enough, still taste pretty good. Deals: If you use their smartphone app to order, you can get 5 free boneless wings, aka chicken nuggets, if you spend $15 or more. The reason I'm giving three stars is because when I got home I realized that they only gave me 5 of the 10 thighs I ordered. Went there after picking up my daughter from school to get her something to eat before I take her to her soccer practice. I ordered my meal and went to then went across the street to Taco Bell to use the bathroom. When I came back to pick up my food the worker at the front looked at me and ask if he could help me, I looked at him confused because he just took my order, when I told him that I was waiting on my order he looked at me with a confused expression, then told me he would have my order ready, a couple of minutes passed and I went to ask him for my order and again he ask me if I could help him, I kid you not I thought I was in the twilight zone or thought someone was pulling a prank on me. Soon after, he told me that my order was being worked on. I had an interesting experience with thing wings today. My friends and I decided to come try this place out, so we shared 15 wings among the three of us (we wanted to get an actual lunch after). We ordered the classic wings, 5 of each in the Original Hot, Parmesan Garlic, and Lemon Pepper flavors. To me, they were all mehh. I liked the original hot flavor the most, but somehow the flavor just didn't really stay as time went on. My first one right after they came out of the kitchen was perfect and full of flavor. But my final few pieces just weren't as flavorful after the wings had cooled down a lot. The sauce just began to taste like watery with bits of flavor here and there, but nowhere as evenly distributed as my first wing. I liked the parmesan garlic wings the least, as they just felt really unhealthy and had straight up parmesan flakes everywhere on top of it. Not like the freshly grated parmesan type flakes, but like the Kraft kinda flakes. Not too impressive in my opinion. Some of it did melt into a sauce. Also, as I bit into one of those wings (while they were still pretty hot), oil from the parmesan/garlic flavoring squirted in my mouth, and that burned a lot! Also, the thought of hot grease burning the insides of your mouth is slightly unpleasant, but thats just a me error not a problem on the establishment's part! Tangent aside... Lemon pepper was a unique flavor, so I can see why my friend said it was one of the popular flavors. I liked it. I was worried it'd be really lemony and have lemon's bitter or sour attributes transferred to the chicken, but it wasn't! Service at the store was pretty good too! I think it's overstaffed for now, since it just opened not too long ago. Anyway, everyone was nice and smiled brightly. I think the person taking my order kind of messed up though, because she asked if I wanted regular or bone-in, and that really ended up confusing the both of us! Oh well, that made a laugh at the cash wrap! Anyway, I think the price here at any Wingstop establishment for chicken wings is a tad more than I'd like to play, but fried chicken wings are just too good! Wingstop is generally too slow for my liking but I needed some time to just chill so I went there. The service lacks the customer until you are directly speaking to them. They were completely out of 20oz lids, forks weren't stocked, honestly I hate the paper towel instead of napkins concept. My one person order came after the two person order that ordered after me.
