I've been to 3 Wingstop locations, I was happy to know there is one in Joliet when I moved to the area. From the moment I walked in the door I was disappointed. The woman at the register was unusually grumpy looking. I just passed it off as a bad day. We sat down around 5:30 and our food didn't come until 6:10. We didn't order enough so I went to order two fries and when I asked her for two more fries and she didn't respond, as I was asking her if they would be ready or not so we could eat with what we already ordered, she walked away asking the cook where's my food? I told the other girl, she didn't even acknowledge or listen to what I said and came back and didn't even respond or anything just rang me up for 2 fries, it was so weird. There was also a lady waiting for 10 minutes at the counter and workers were within 20 feet of her the entire time cooking, they didn't say hi, acknowledge her, nothing. That lady was super upset. As we left a woman was picking up an order and the woman who rang me out handed it to her and said hold it from the bottom, so the customer did but the bag still broke open and her food was all over the counter. When I get home I usually play video games and while I was chatting with my homie, my stomach growled so loud that he heard it and told me to head to wingstop. I'd never been there before, but with a name like that, it had to be good, so I called up some friends and we slid on over. It wasn't that far from my crib; it's on Jefferson St right in front of Walmart. You could smell the food as soon as you walked through the doors. When I got there the dining area wasn't anything flashy or fancy. But everything was put together and neat and very presentable. It's more of a pickup place instead of a sit down restaurant. Wingstop has about five tables where people are able to sit if they want to eat there, but you would rarely see people do so. The food smelled amazing and it made me even more hungry. Wingstop has many options on their menu. When you go up to the counter to order, there are three big screens with many food options to look at. It's wingstop, so of course they have wings, but it's the sauce that makes choosing so hard. Some options are mild,lemon pepper,original hot, hickory smoked, hickory smoked bbq and garlic parmesan. It took me some time to choose what I wanted, but what caught my eye was the barbecue traditional wings and the fries. When I was ready to get my food, the lady that took my order had a really good attitude and was polite while talking to me, and that was something I really enjoyed. When you order something from wingstop they cook it fresh so it takes about ten to fifteen minutes for your food to get done. So me and my friends went to sit down and wait on our food. When my food was finally done, the first thing I tried was the fries and when I tell you those were the best fries I've ever had, I'm not joking. The fries have brown sugar on them which makes them 10x better. In my opinion it's like dipping a McDonalds fry in a milkshake all in one fry. And when I tried the wings they were hot and steamy and freshly cooked. I had to blow on the wing before biting it, which I love doing. Wingstop prices are also better than buffalo wild wings prices. ten wings at wingstop are 8$ and ten wings at Buffalo Wild Wings are 12$. That is a big difference because with the 4$ you saved you can buy a drink or something else to enjoy. Wingstop also has deals on food as well like mondays and tuesdays the wings are 50 cent with the wings being that cheap it could help struggling families have a meal on those days. Overall I'll give wingstop five stars because I loved mostly everything that they do as much as communicating with the customer when they don't know what to order. Simple decor and a few TVs hanging on the walls. They were out of honey mustard and they forgot my drink :( Customer service was good though. Food was 50/50. Chicken tenders and the bread were outstanding even to my picky boyfriend. Fries were a little soggy and wings are OK. I like breading on the wings but that's my preference. My first jaunt into WingStop was a pleasant one - I can say that. My wife and I went in on a Saturday night around 9:30P, and there were about 3 other people in the place. Before ordering, we said to the lady at the counter that it was our first time and she explained how the orders and such worked - and offered to let us try different sauces to see if they were to our liking. She started bringing them out before we even asked, and I bet we tried 3/4ths of what was available. This was a huge bonus and I'd probably come back based upon this. After trying the sauces, my wife and I each decided to order an 8 peice wing combo - Wings (boneless or bone-in), a side, and a drink. She got teryaki, and I split between the Korean BBQ and the Louisiana Rub. I got the Cajun fries and my wife got the veggie sticks (Carrots and celery) as sides. The lady who took our order told us it would be about 15 minutes, and I think it was pretty close to that. Everything is made fresh - wings aren't sitting under a heat lamp and then spun in sauce on demand. This On to the wings.. We both ordered boneless and the chunks of chicken are fairly good sized, and I was served an extra two or three pieces. The Louisiana Rub wings came out with a dusting of spices and then were spun in a butter sauce - which was mostly butter. These were actually pretty good. The Korean BBQ wings were tossed in the Korean BBQ sauce I tried earlier and were also good. My wife seemed to like her Teryaki wings. The Cajun fries had a bit of a kick to them, which was nice. However, about 3 wings in each we both commented to one another almost at the same time that things were salty. Like really salty. We don't recall this flavor being present when tasting the sauces on their own, so we deduced it has to be the breading that's on the boneless wings. I'm not saying it ruined the meal, but it definitely gave us some pause about making this place a must-return anytime soon. Overall, I'll probably give this place another shot sometime down the road. I'll definitely try the regular wings over the boneless. The staff made a good impression and that counts for a lot. The value was pretty good as well - an 8 piece wing basket would probably feed me for two meals unless I was REALLY hungry at the first sitting. Next Stop, Wingstop The first time I had wing stop I was on my game with my friends and searching through DoorDash because I was starving but had nothing at home to eat. I had a taste for wings but the places I get wings from are overpriced and not that good. That's when one of my friends told me I should order Wingstop. He assured me I was going to like it but I was still skeptical. After going back and forth I finally decided to order something and I told my friend " If I don't like this I'm going to smack you the next time I see you". I decided to get the meal for 2 combo. It included 15 wings in any flavor, a large drink, and their seasoned fries. I was surprised to see so much food that cost only 25 dollars compared to the other places I use to get my wings. When my food finally arrived I was excited to eat. After taking my first bite of the wings I instantly fell in love. The fries were better than I would ever expect. I was sure to be making another visit to Wingstop. One strength of eating at Wingstop opposed to any other places is that your food is always made to order. Another strength of eating Wingstop is you have a lot of options of different flavors you can choose from. You can pick between 11 different flavors 8 being a wet type of sauce and 3 being a dry rub. There are also different flavors for their fries. Those flavors are seasoned fries, cheese fries, Louisiana voodoo fries, and buffalo ranch fries. The times I have been there the service has always been super good and really friendly. The wings are super affordable especially when they have a 60 cent boneless wing special. With this special, you can order 15 boneless wings for only 10 dollars. It is also convenient because you can eat in, take out. You can also find Wingstop on Doordash, GrubHub, and Uber Eats for delivery. When I went to pick up my food everything in the kitchen looked clean and organized. Wingstop does a better job at putting in the right amount of sauce, unlike buffalo wild wings. When I went to buffalo wild wings they would never put the right amount of sauce. Either there isn't enough sauce on it, it's cooked incorrectly, or doesn't even taste good. I've never had a visit at Wingstop yet where my food has been made wrong, or they forgot an item or it didn't taste good. There are some weaknesses in Wingstop. One of them being their lemon pepper seasoning is too strong or too much of it for me. The taste of the lemon pepper tasted like a straight-up lemon. I ended up trying to wipe as much of the lemon pepper off the wings as I could and I tried to douse my fries in cheese for it to taste a little bit good. I've had their lemon pepper wings and lemon pepper fries and both of them were almost inedible for me. Another weakness is if you order through an app like DoorDash it is way more expensive than if you get it from the restaurant. If you order a 10 piece wing you would pay about 10 dollars at the restaurant but through the app, your total would come to 18 dollars, not including delivery fee and tip. On some days their drink fountain often runs out of syrup or ice and it is a bummer not getting the drink you want. Other than those examples I haven't had any other bad experiences at Wingstop. I give Wingstop a 4 out of 5 because I haven't had too many bad experiences at Wingstop and I like almost everything I have tried there. Wingstop also makes it easy if you are getting wings for a large group or a party. Their online menu shows you what amount feeds how many people. The taste of their food and how intriguing some of their items on the menu are the reason why they have me and other customers come back on their payday. I am excited to go back there and try other items on their menu, especially their Voodoo fries. Wingstop is the place I can rely on for cheap and great food. read more

The service that I received was completely unprofessional and the staff are rude, disrespectful have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS! I ordered my food at 9:10pm on July 17th, 2021 on the website. I receive a link saying, "Please wait in your vehicle to receive a message saying your order is ready before coming inside! Help slow the spread by wearing a face mask in the restaurant when picking up your order." I sat in my vehicle and waited with many other vehicles that were in the parking lot. I waited 50 minutes without a text or email saying that my order was ready. I finally went inside to see what was going on with my order and if was ready. I went inside and stood there as no one acknowledged me. Finally a woman comes up to me and asked, "What do you need?" I said, "It's cold." The woman said it was ready at 9:25pm. I replied, "I never received a text or email notification that my food was ready." She replied in an arrogant tone, "We don't send notifications!" I said, "Well, why did the order confirmation link tell me to wait in my car until I received a message?" She then repeated, "We don't send notifications, there's just an estimate time. We can make you another order." There were already many people in the restaurant and outside of the restaurant. I told her that would not wait even longer to make another order. I asked her if I could speak to the manager or supervisor because I wanted a refund for my wait and all that transpired. When I said I wanted a refund, another employee that was a big and tall man takes my bag of food away and the receipt. I was confused. The manager Anna or Hannah comes out and I explain to her what happened and she says in a disrespectful tone, "If you want a refund you're not going to get the food!" I said, "excuse me?" I'm asking to be compensated for my troubles and you're telling me no? What kind of customer service is this? She continued to be disrespectful (in front of all the customers in the store) and tell me that I could have a $10 refund and the food (which was already cold and they were going to throw away anyway. I was so hurt and embarrassed. I hear and see a Hispanic young woman in the kitchen laughing and calling me a bitch. I couldn't not believe what was happening. I argued back and forth with the Hispanic employee and she charged at me from behind the counter as if she wanted to physically attack me! The big and tall employee had to restrain her. My husband and I called once to report our order missing (we didn't order through door dash we ordered through their app) the manager told us we had to contact door dash to get our refund back because that's door dash's problem, not his.
