The service here was just terrible. There did not appear to be any responsible employees working when I stopped in for a take out order on a Friday evening a few weeks ago. After standing at the counter for awhile, I had to ask someone to place an order and she walked away without responding and asked someone else to take my order. There also appeared to be a girlfriend or friend of one of the employee's hanging around at the counter and several employees were on their cell phones. While I absolutely understand working in food service isn't ideal for most, as someone who did so in high school and my early college years there's just NO WAY employees should act this way and I certainly would've been fired if I did half the things these employees were doing. When we got there, the cashier rang him up, took his payment and then turned away. He asked if the food was ready -- no answer. The manager came by and ignored him. First if you go I suggest that you use the online ordering or order in advance by phone. They make everything to order. The food does not sit in hot trays. So if you just drop in be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes for your food. You will get it fresh and hot. As for the food, it is not bad. The hand cut fries were hot and crisp and not greasy. They had a sort of sweet salty topping which I thought was good. It was a good portion. I had the 8 boneless wings with a choice of two toppings from a list of ten. I chose the Hawaiian and the garlic Parmesan. The Parmesan wings were a little too salty for me but I really liked the Hawaiian. Both wings were coated in a thick batter that was crispy and not greasy. A little too much though. Had a small order of tasty baked beans and an order of vegetable sticks which was peeled carrots and celery. Nothing to dip them in like blue cheese dressing. The chicken was moist and juicy. Tried the new wing stop tonight, walked in and the place was packed. People waiting on their orders an also a lot of people working in the back. The place was clean an the young lady behind the register was pleasant. We ordered 30 wings needless to say our eyes were bigger then our stomachs because I ate about 6 wings, my boyfriend ate 8, but we definitely gonna be having them for lunch tmr. We ordered the Louisiana dry rub, the Hawaiian an the lemon pepper. They each had a distinct taste but I think I enjoyed the Hawaiian the most. Our order came with fresh cut fries an fresh veggie sticks and dip. We got there 20 minutes after ordering and they said it would be another 5 minutes. After 10 more minutes they told us it would be another 5-10 minutes. We were on our way to a party and didn't have time to keep waiting so we asked for a refund. The employee yelled back to a manager and said 'can you give these people a refund because I don't have time for this'. Other employees thought t was funny, but other customers were shocked with how rude he was, and they all started requesting refunds as well. Treating customers like that is completely unacceptable. Consistently substandard service. Despite all of the incorrect orders that I've received in the past, i've continued to support this particular wingstop, on city line avenue. I've called ahead, placed my order online, used Uber eats and have either received incorrect orders or no orders at all. I kept excusing it because the taste of the food is great. However, I think that i've reached my wits end. I called ahead today to get my order. Nothing complicated. One flavor. Fries cooked well done. Gave them about 20 minutes to complete it. I get there, pay for my food and wait given that they didn't give me my food right away. Other people come in and get their food. I ask for the wait time because I had my daughter in my hands. That's when they figure out that they've given my food to someone else. Again. Moreover, it seemed like the fact that they gave my food to someone else was an annoyance rather than something that they honestly regretted. I get it. These jobs don't always pay well and, given how long I've frequented their business, people don't stay that long. However, while the individual workers on this shift (6pm EST) messed up the whole process, I hold management (and honestly upper management) responsible for this. Regardless of the faces taking my orders and giving me my food, there seems to be a problem with basic communication. I really question Wingstop's (and whoever their parent company is) judgement in hiring practices. They gave me my money back in cash and I left, hungry and disgruntled. Someone was walking into the establishment and I told them to not waste their money because the staff are going to get their orders wrong. Look, Wingstop. You have great food. And that has been your only saving food, in my book. But there are plenty of other places that make decent wings and don't get my order wrong/not give my food to other people/forget to make my order at all. While I may try my luck at other Wingstop's in the future, I'm going to forgo any future trips there and will encourage those in my social circles to do the same until there are some shake-ups in front line staff and management. I hate that it's come to this because, honestly, I don't write reviews unless the experience has been particularly poor. I've resisted writing reviews on this Wingstop on City Avenue because I don't want staff there to get jammed up. But come on, man. Y'all have to do better.
