This Wing Stop opened recently where Pho Hung used to be. I went there with my family soon after they opened. The food took forever, considering all we ordered was boneless wings and fries, and they bring out one portion at a time, making others at your table wait. They call your name loudly even though it's a small place. The wings were dry with way too much breading, which was slightly burnt. The sauces were awful. The fries were good. I don't see the attraction in this place unless you love cholesterol. I miss Pho Hung, a Vietnamese restaurant where you could get fresh, healthful food. And I am not a health food nut. I went here for wings a couple of times. They always try to charge you for little extra things to get the check higher. They push you to get extra sauces and don't tell you it's for a higher price. I can get the same exact wings at their falls grove location and the price will be $10 LESS per order. The customer service is always bad and ripping people off is always bad. read more

I only ordered 4 biscuits today order was supposed to be ready at 11:52 that was twenty minutes after I placed the order, when I got to this wing stop it was a dirty table when you first walk in my order was not ready at 12:18 for 4 biscuits! Honestly, all 4 stars are for the staff. Love the guys that work there. They were polite and helpful. There was one young gentleman(didn't catch his name) who went above and beyond. This post is in reference to a online order I place on 11/19/16, and picked up from the Connecticut Ave. location on 11/20/16.I placed on online order the day before, due to calling the establishment and asking them what would be the best way to order a 200 wing order with less hassle/room for error. I was informed the day before, so I did just that. The pick up was for 12:15pm for a (large) birthday party that I was hosting. When I picked up my order, a Hispanic employee offered to help me carry one of the large boxes containing my order, and made small talk on the way to my car. Very pleasant, very talkative, all in Spanish. On the way there, I asked him if my order was thoroughly complete (and I admit, this was my error) being that all the bags were stapled closed, and I was in a hurry, as guests had informed me they had arrived early. He responds with "yea, there should be. It's just 200 wings." I took his word, and did not bother double checking. Once I arrive home, I start unpacking, and realize one order was missing, and one order was incorrect. I call the establishment to inform them of the error, and the cashier who answered the phone was very pleasant, profusely apologized, and asked me what was missing. I informed him, and he said if I could drive back, and they'll have my order ready for pickup. Again, I had guests already in my home at this time, and I had no help planning this. So I hop in my car leaving my guests, and back I go. Once I arrive, the same individual who helped carry my order to the car, Javier, starts asking me (in Spanish) what I "THINK", is missing. I am Hispanic, however Spanish is not my first language. I figured I would communicate with this individual in Spanish, being that it was obviously more in his comfort and that it would help put my point across, even if it would be a bit of a struggle for me. Instead of showing me on their receipt what I ordered, he kept asking me what I (again) "THINK" I'm missing. I inform him, and he tells me that isn't possible, because he packed the order himself. I tell him it is, so we're going back and forth on what I think I'm missing. He even goes as far to call the cashier an idiot, that he wouldn't trust him to pack the order, that he HIMSELF packed it, and that was certain everything was correct. By the end of the conversation, he tells me (all in Spanish) that he's going to do me the favor and "gift me" the wings. I have never encountered such disrespect and unprofessional before. This was time consuming, an inconvenience, and overall embarrassing. My guests would've much rather had BWW, but due to the fact that they do not have online ordering and my busy schedule refrained me from going in person to fill out a form, this was my next best option which I had complete faith in. I've always had positive encounters with the employees and manager at the Shady Grove location.This was my first time ever visiting this Wingstop, and surely, will be the last. read more

The previous manager, Thomas, worked very hard to keep a positive work environment and to make sure your order was exactly how you wanted it to be, and if a mistake was made (because we're all human), he would take care of you and get it right. The new manager does not understand anything when he takes your order. After saying what you want, he'll confirm something completely different e.g. "I'd like garlic parm" with the response being "Ok you want Honey BBQ". The vibe of the kitchen has gone in a state of disarray and I can count on my left hand the remaining number of GOOD employees that will make the wings, fries, and buns exactly as they should be (Joshua being another great employee). Bring Thomas back or you're going to lose all your faithful customers. For anyone that has had a bad experience in the past month or so, it's because of the new manager who does not understand the employees and the customers. My past few visits where the good employees are not there, I have received bland and cold wings, french fries that are not what they used to be, and a roll that looked like someone sat on it. edit: Just learned Joshua is no longer at this location too. wing stop Aspen hill is the worst. I brought a big order which came with large fries, the cashier was nice by tell her coworker that's not a large it a regular. the guy who prepared the order said no its not then realize it wasn't large so he get a large tray and pours the regular in the large tray and gave it to her. Horrible service! The manager(miguel)took my order at 2:32. The order was 20 piece with half dozen rolls which the manager stated would take 10minutes. After watching 3 customers being served and waiting 20 minutes i asked for my order. One of the cooks looks for my order which he found sitting on the front counter and proceeded to try to give me my order mind you had been sitting out for over 20 minutes with non of 3 employees ever acnowlwdging me while i was sitting right in front of them. I ordered in advance online and arrived 30 minutes after. They got my order completely wrong and when I was telling them that it was wrong, they were acting like I was lying. I had to go into my email, show them my order and they cooked it when I got there, so I had to wait 20 minutes for them to finish cooking it. I have gone to this particular Wingstop twice and had terrible food. The place stinks and has had a terrible odor to it. When you order, you can see clearly into the cooking area. I ordered fries and boneless wings. There was a lot of dirt and filth underneath and at the base of the appliances. I looked for rat droppings and saw small round pellet size clumps. To be fair, without close inspection, I can't tell for sure if there were rat or insect droppings or just dirt. I suspect that the smell was due to the reuse of oil. This is a common mistake. Another is to use fryers for dual purposes, which they did. This was probably because just before I ordered, someone else ordered 100 wings. When I received the order, as expected the fries tasted like chicken and the chicken was overcooked. Instead of taking the order home I trashed it and went somewhere else. Yelp removed my previous review due to "lack of details". But they did invite me to provide greater detail and post again. Negative reviews are just as important if no more so, to the public. If you choose to go to this place make sure you do a quick inspection of the cooking area. I hope this place and the management improves over time. read more

Wow, this place has changed for the better in the past week. The customer service was the absolute worst in the past, but new general manager Brian seems to have changed that around. First off I like the whole aviation and planes setting the restaurant has, but when it comes to food it's also something I enjoy. the mango habenero is delicious, everything else is decent but the garlic parmesan was disappointing. The fries with cheese is also a good complement with your wings. Food is always made to order so it's hot and fresh. Does take longer than id expect but still worth it . The employyes are well manered and kind .My last opinion on why it gets 3 stars is because a bit price'y with small wing, while yet delicous , your left hungry for more. read more
