I only checked in here to report on one thing: the bathrooms. I know, I know, that's not really a fair review, right? I'm just going to gripe and complain about a dirty bathroom and that's no real litmus test for a chain fast food restaurant. Well... it's actually the opposite. We had an urgent request from one or more car passengers for the facilities. This was in sight, so we stopped. And let me say, I cannot recall seeing a cleaner fast food restroom in any place before. I was stunned. So much so that I said I had to leave a positive review for the place! Now, it's not fair to judge a place just by their... um... commodes. But, the cleanliness extended to the main dining area as well. What's more, a team member was actively attending to a drink spill while we were there. You might think it's a minor thing, but it makes a huge difference! Also, they have touch-screen ordering in the dining room, which I think is pretty spiffy. This establishment is SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED with POOR SERVICE causing orders to often come out not only late, but constantly the orders are wrong and food is sloppy. Been here multiple times and my order never takes less than 30 minutes, during late night rush hours I have watched some of the employees go to the dining hall to "fake" sweep up nothing on the floors. ( I am only saying that because I watch them constantly do this and they genuinely sweep nothing at all whatsoever ). Mind you this is when the back is already understaffed and failing to complete orders. Giving it 5 stars so that everyone local yelpies know to avoid shady grove like the plague. If anyone has ever gone to that location, every other Taco Bell would seem like heaven. But honestly, this Taco Bell at Rockville has been exceptionally accurate and consistent with all their orders. I don't think I've ever gotten an order that was wrong, and their food presentation is surprisingly decent. If you are in the mood for some quick taco and fast food Mexican food, this is a place to go. Their cheesy potato side dish packed tons of flavor from the cheese and sour cream. Their burritos are good too. Their ground beef is standard on most of their food items. You may have to pay a little extra for steak / chicken. Their drive thru tends to get busy during rush hour and during the late evenings so be prepared to wait. You can always order food from the Taco Bell app and just come here to pick up your online order at the cashier. If you are in the mood for some fast food tacos, this place does hit the spot. I made a spur-of-the-moment decision to come over here today for lunch because it had already been a good couple of months since I had any type of Mexican food. I started to check out their kiosk to see what combos they had to offer. In years past, I would have simply ordered single tacos, but I didn't have a drink with me today, and I figured something to wash down the food would be helpful. I found the basic three taco combo with a fountain drink for over $8.00. These weren't the taco Supremes but I guessed that it was an OK deal. While I was waiting for my order to be prepared, I harkened back to the days when their simple tacos we're $.99 cents. The service was not good at all. Here's what happened. Worse Taco Bell ever Was hungry and tried to get quick bite. Went inside and both kiosks were down. There was a full staff making food. Stood at counter for 5 minutes and was completely ignored. I totally think that the CHEDDAR TOASTED CHALUPA is my favorite then anything in taco bell I got the chicken chalupa and it was so delicious. If you go in past 7pm its takes up to 40 minutes to get your food. The workers don't ask you about your food. And if you order online they legit just don't make it until you flag down a worker. First of all, it's Taco Bell, so it's outstanding and perfect in every way. During the coronavirus lockdown situation, this location had a confidence-inspiring strategy for handling the payment and giving food out at the drive thru. The Tacomasters held out the card reader, never touching the card itself, and handed the food out in a plastic bin. It minimized potential for contamination in a smart way. I feel like every time I tell someone I'm going to Taco Bell there's confusion and shame. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of places open at 11:300pm on the Pike during the week. As I was saying, I arrived around 11pm on a Thursday night looking for some late night food. The drive threw was ridiculously long! From the time I got in line to the minute I got my food it was a half hour. As a vegetarian Taco Bell typically screws up my food and will tell me I've been upgraded with free meat #wowthanks. This time I asked several times about my potatoe burritos and if they had meat. Several times the employee said no, I went with two and waited for pick up. Once I got the burritos I instantly opened one up and took a bite. Within a second I was spitting it out because .... there was meat. I opened the second one and again meat! At this point it was midnight and I wasn't about to drive back. I attempted to call the following day (having kept my receipt) in hopes of either getting the correct ones or a refund. Despite several attempts no one ever answered. I wasted money and was left hungry. Oh boy...I understand that there is a pandemic and people are having a hard time finding staff etc. However, my girlfriend and I came in tonight to order and we're extremely frustrated. To be fair my order came out fine but took 25 minutes and hers not so much...they gave her the wrong item, forgot one and shoved the quesadilla into the bag with so little care it was in a ball, also it wasn't cut.
