Wing Stop in Tacoma equals Awesome! From Lemon pepper to Atomic who doesn't enjoy wings anytime. We stopped here to check out this place, in California we were always finding a reason to get wings and wing stop has great quality wings. mondays and tuesdays appear to be .50 boneless wings! They just opened up on Friday and already they were busy! If you have never tried they are truely spicy if you can handle the heat order atomic! They can also do large orders for parties too. My visit was at the beginning of the #SHSH order. There was signage about spacing and wait times expectations which I thought was very good on their part. Wing stop was over all a not great experience. We try to not be overly critical because we understand covid has folks in a different environment, but I felt compelled to give our honest opinion of the food. First I'd like to start by giving a positive feedback on the customer service provided by those working at this location. They were cranking out orders at a blistering pace and our order was 100%accurate. The chicken, although affordable, had some real issues; some were cooked to perfection (lemon pepper) was crispy/juicy and just slightly over seasoned, some were over sauced (BBQ) was crispy/juicy and drenched in BBQ sauce(way too much), and some were just un-edible (original) I'm sure they started out better, but we tasted them immediately after we returned to our car and they were cold, soggy, and not even as hot as Franks original. Which is pretty pathetic because it is promoted as being towards the high end of their arbitrary heat scale. The fries looked amazing (we got two different types: regular seasoned and tsunami). The regular was cooked good just was way over salted. The tsunami was cooked good, way over salted/seasoned and the cheese/gravy sauce laid waste to the atrocity before us. This seems to be a resounding theme when it comes to chain restaurants (cheep price=poor food quality). Definitely makes the "you get what you pay for" ring true. read more

Terrible customer service, as a person who works in customer service if you mess something up for a customer especially when paying a lot of money... as a business it's your job to make it right! Drove 20 minutes there and 20 minutes back and the entire order was bone in when we ordered boneless we called and were told the only way we get new wings is if we bring the entire order back and wait for new ones to be made which could take awhile. My husband said "seriously" and the woman's response was "YUP". My wife and I were looking for a wings place, so we came here. Jeremy was our host, while Sinatra was the cook. They had a 20 wings and four flavors, two fries, two dips, and two drinks for $20 special, which we ordered, saving us money because we were going to order a six piece combo and an eight piece combo. Jeremy made sure we were informed of the special so we didn't spend too much (kudos to him for this). Having chosen the garlic parmesan, hickory bbq, Louisiana rub, and Hawaiian, I can say that all four were great. I have my preference, and my wife has hers, but none were less than good. The fries were quite delicious, and were unusually seasoned. Jeremy told us what the difference was, but I was sworn to secrecy. LOL. Sinatra cooked all the boneless wings to a nice crunch but kept them juicy inside, so serious props to him. The atmosphere was very aviation-based, but not so much so that it would be overwhelming. The restaurant was clean and neat, but a little cozier than I would care to be in if it were busy. Prices seem a little higher than other places like it, but the quality and the special made it worthwhile. A big thank you, again, to Jeremy for his courteous and helpful attitude. Was given a timeframe of 35 minutes to get my order, ok I'm a patient person. It was eventually over an hour and the fries were rock hard and cold. They may be able to fill orders faster and the food would be fresher but instead one of the workers decided to go out to parking lot with their girlfriend and get high. Wings. Possibly the best food in the world. ;-) And, Wingstop does it right. Plain ol' naked wings with your choice of sauce. No breading. Nothing weird. Just traditional wings. Nice and crispy! In fact, you can even order them extra crispy, though it's not necessary. You can even get all drums or all flappers for a small extra charge. They have a sauce to suit just about anyone- from mild to hot to fruity. True chiliheads will be a little let down by their hottest sauces, though. Guessing, I would say the Atomic sauce comes in somewhere around 100,000 SHU's or less. The Mango Habanero is even less than that. As I'm a fan of super-hot I typically order the wings plain, and take them home and make my own sauce. They also have boneless wings, fries, and some other items on the menu. Blah, blah, blah. The point of this place is bone-in wings! You can order on their app and have the wings ready when you get there. Service for me has always been fine. Definitely worth checking out. read more

I love the wings especially the lemon pepper, it is my all time favorite. The reasons I am giving them 2 stars is because more than one occasion we ordered wings to go and when we got home the wings were not cooked. I kid you not the wing could have still been bleeding. So every time we go we get very cautious to make sure it is cooked thoroughly through. The biggest reason I get disappointed at every visit is the service. The employees are very unprofessional.. Almost too kiddish to be working in a customer service environment. For example, i walked in and was immediately greeted by the cashier which is great and there seemed to have been a customer at the counter so I waited patiently for my turn. After 10 min of looking at the menu, I noticed the customer in front of me and the cashier was just having a personal conversation. The customer ended up being an employee getting off their shift. So as I stood there staring at the employee and her staring back, I waited for some kind of acknowledgment to see if she will ask me if I'm ready to order.. But of course, there was nothing and they continued to jabber along. I had to interrupt and inform her I was ready and they ended their conversation which I think annoyed them. Ahhhh the innocent first timer.. shame on me to come an hour before they closed (in addition to some upset turnover with management - notice the lady who 1* it based on one bad seed). Regardless the crew there was helpful even though they ran out of all sides. Seriously it's okay cuz I came there for the bone in wings! Although their hand cut fries I wanted to desperately try.. maybe another time. We got a 20 piece half Louisiana rub, half original hot, all extra crispy. The verdict? The Louisiana rub was too salty for my liking but still worthy of devouring the original hot is where it's at!! On top of that they have some awesome bottled brews, namely Shiner Bock and Rogues Dead Guy Ale. This is a tough one for me because I do love wings. I used to live in Buffalo and have had some excellent wings. I knew I wasn't going to be blown away coming here, but this location definitely fell below my standards. I ordered 10 wings, half hot, and half garlic parm. And a fry and drink, the combo deal. The wings came fast enough and looked good. The hot wings were half submerged in sauce and soggy all the way around. On hotness scale the sauce was fine, but the rubbery flesh was sure a turn off and definitely a NO NO when it comes to wings. The garlic parm, tasty and crisp, but smothered in grated Parmesan cheese, the Kraft kind you buy at the store in the green container. Totally made the wings dry and overwhelmingly parmeseany. The fries were tasty and overall better than the wings. To top it off the "blue cheese" sauce is NOT blue cheese. It is very watered down and actually tastes nothing like good tangy blue cheese should. A good blue chews is a must with wings and I didn't get that here. I'm proud to say that I can make much better wings myself. The two workers for some reason had Spanish music playing in the whole place, none of which i understood, as they both seem to be of Indian background, or middle-eastern. The place was also frigid, almost uncomfortably cold. Price was okay and I watched some sports on t.v. Good location, but overall, I doubt if I'd come back to this location. read more

The wings were subpar, nothing special and equal to the frozen variety you get at the grocery store. The fries were soggy like they were cooked in a fry pan for 2 minutes...all in all the price doesnt justify the quality food. Next the service, they were too slow in cooking 15 pc with fries, took them almost 40 minutes (had no order prior to my order) two people that came after me got their food before me, one with a combo meal and another with a 30 pc classic. Also saw of of the workers eating fries while working just as the fries got out of the fryer. Would never go back to this place rather get wings at hooters. The wings are on point. They could be heavy handed on some of the dry seasoning. I do prefer them over Buffalo Wild Wings. The reason why they get a 3 star is that they are unorganized. And don't know how to expedite their orders properly. It's a mad house on game day. And even if you call in your order, you still have to wait through the line, and if you order fries, they don't drop the fries until you pay.
