We upgraded from classic to premium so we could have LA kalbi. And it was thick prime cuts. Our server checked on us often and asked us if the food was tasty. Five stars - great This was my first time going to a Korean BBQ. We went in blind, so we had no clue what to do, what to order, etc. Our waitress was very friendly. She didn't do the best job of explaining how the menu worked (there was a little language barrier), but we ultimately figured it out. I'll do my best to explain how things work. Essentially, you can order a variety of meats and appetizers, which are separated into three categories. If you purchase the higher tier, you not only have access to the meats/appetizers of that tier, but also any tier below it. You get unlimited food for two hours. During that time, you can cook and eat a variety of meats that are available in your selected tier. You could order three dishes and three sides at a time. Despite not knowing how things worked, we had a great experience. We got the first tier ($35 per person), and we were satisfied with our options, but we will definitely get a higher tier next time we go. We got three rounds of food, and we were stuffed. It was really fun cooking the meats while we enjoyed our appetizers and drinks. This is the perfect restaurant for catching up with friends and family because you will be there a while. I asked if they had à la carte options but was told it's not all you can eat style. The ordering is done from a tablet at the table and a food runner brings it out. I was impressed that the design of the grills allowed them to not need the hang down smoke vent, it made it a quieter experience and we didn't smell like smoke after. With tip and tax it was $91. So not bad for kbbq but not cheap either. I thought the meat quality was good and the sides were ok, banchan at other places is a bit better but I actually really liked being able to order from the tablet rather than flag down someone. For the kid, they had ketchup and a side of french fries (she ate meat, fries, and rice, and ketchup). Service was good and it was easy to get a clean grill. And the price point for their happy hour can't be beat. $19.99 is pretty amazing. The food however was not the best. The banchan wasn't very good and the brisket was not quality. You have a 2 hour time limit and we felt like we were waiting a long time for our orders. At Korean BBQs we are often waiting for the food to cook, but here we were spending more of the time waiting for the uncooked food to even arrive. One of my friends is immune compromised, and I checked in with staff before my party arrived if they would be willing to serve us out on their patio to which they said no, it was closed for the winter. So after a while when everybody arrived, we decided to give it a try, but then didn't realize that they would charge for all you can eat KBBQ per person, even if that person is not eating because they refused to serve the immune compromised individual outdoors. So that same person who wasn't able to be accommodated couldn't eat because everything was inside. We checked with the other wait staffer before we were seated and told it was OK for our immune compromised friend to join us even if she can't eat. After we were seated, the other wait staffer said that our friend could not stay if she was not eating or she would be charged anyway because that's what management told them. There was confusion because we were told one thing by a staffer as we entered and told a conflicting thing a moment later by a different staffer. I understand the rules of the all you can eat BBQ place, but please be explicit when you have certain rules that must be followed. They should be posted and clear so that ALL customers understand what they're getting themselves into before they get seated and served especially as a Korean American. This is very very very disappointing. I will NOT come back here ever or recommend this place because there are plenty of other great Korean joints in Tacoma that have better food and way better service. read more

He brought the owner, or chef out, who asked a few questions but said it was fine to remove it from our table without billing it. They offer a variety of side dishes that our normal kbbq place didn't, so we wanted to try it out. I've been to the one in Bellevue with family so I already knew what to expect but it's nice to have another in the Tacoma area, I just absolutely hate mall parking. Celebrating my nieces birthday, my husband and I treated her to Korean BBQ. There was a line that was about a 20 minute wait before we got seated for three. It was clear and unfortunate they were under staffed on a weekend. We ordered the signature meat option which has a great variety of various meat types. We ordered white rice to go with our meats. The wait for rice was 30 minutes and we were almost finished with our first round of meat before getting the rice at our table. I was a little disappointed by the selection of "marinaded" meats. We wanted to try the marinaded chicken and when it was brought out it just had sauce placed on top not at all marinaded. Unfortunately, will not be coming back, especially this location. My husband and I had gave this place a try back when they were more newly opened, and had enjoyed it. However, this time around when we visited again, we were so so highly and greatly disappointed in the decline of food quality. We won't be back, and suggest you find a different place for kbbq. I suggest quite literally any other place in Lakewood (just 10 minutes away). We went with the premium option, which mind you is $58 per person. The "wagyu" was so insanely chewy? Like are we just slapping the word "wagyu" on any marbled meat now? I guess thats how they afford to stay open. We were starving and left hungrier than we came in. The meat quality was worse than what you can find at grocery stores. We also tried their seafood pancake was so dense and doughy and very reminiscent of play-doh. They also were out of ginger ale yet failed to inform us and ask us what we wanted instead? Only when we flagged a server down, (that call server button does absolutely nothing, we tried) and asked, is when we finally got our second drink (15 min in). Husband got fries to try his luck at any other food item tasting decent but lo and behold, undercooked fries, cheese not even melted on top. The music was blaring and you can barely hear someone talking directly in front of you. Seriously this place is a joke for kbbq. Especially with that price for what you get. If the meat was actually chewable then it would be worth it. You'd have a better experience inside the food court than this garbage. You know an asian place sucks when theres no asian people there. Hope a better place takes over or the owner is more involved and actually fixes the issues, because after reading other reviews, I'm not the only one. read more

Honestly this was the most disappointing Korean BBQ experience I've had. Something was just off with the quality of the meat ...it didn't taste fresh and the texture wasn't right either. While I understand that time limits for all-you-can-eat are common, the portion sizes here were surprisingly small. They also restrict how many plates you can order at once and make you wait a set amount of time before placing another order which felt frustrating and inefficient. Several dishes we ordered either came out extremely late or never arrived at all. To make matters worse, service was pretty lackluster. Since they automatically include gratuity regardless of party size, it felt like the servers weren't motivated to provide attentive or helpful service which unfortunately aligned with our experience.
