I just went to Wink Lash Parlor yesterday for my first set of lashes since I moved to Portland and I'm so happy with how they look. I was hesitant to get lash extensions here. I used to get them done in NY and knowing how picky I am about everything beauty related (hair, nails, etc.) I was nervous to try a new place. After reading reviews, I decided to give Wink a try and I'm so happy I did. From the moment I walked in, I knew it was going to be great. The space is inviting and pretty and the staff made me feel very comfortable and relaxed, even though I was stressed about running late to my appointment. I had trouble finding parking and was nervous my appointment time would be shorter since I was late. But they didn't make me feel rushed. During the consultation, Amanda listened to exactly how I wanted my lashes to look like. I like a natural look - about the same length as my natural lashes, just with more fullness and a slight curl. After the consultation she went to work and when she was done I was so excited to see my new lashes! They look exactly how I wanted them to and I love feeling like I look refreshed without any makeup. I had my first set of lashes about three weeks ago from Brittney and she is the best! She is a perfectionist and I have had barely any fall out. She did exactly the style I wanted: full, natural but a little longer then my natural with a slight curl. I have had so many compliments on them. Wink Lash Parlor is fantastic. They use a lot of their own branded products, which are better for sensitive skin and eyes. I usually get a little irritation after a fill, but her glue is a lot more gentle, but still holds well for me. I have Anna do my lashes and I wouldn't want anyone else to do them (although I'm sure they're all great). She really take into account both what you're looking for and what would look and feel best for your eye shape and lifestyle. Anna is more than just a lash tech, she's a stylist and an artist. I've been coming here now for about 6 months and I am still loving my lashes. I've seen a few girls here but have been pretty consistent seeing Haley. She's so sweet and always does such a great job. I highly recommend these ladies for an eyebrow wax! Not only are they pros at what they do, but they are so sweet and the atmosphere is great. The space is a little out of the way, but has such great natural lighting that it makes it worth the trek. Was able to get a same day appointment which was convenient. The front desk person was kind of unfriendly, but the space was large airy & cIean. I got a half set with sensitive eye glue because the woman doing my lashes said the only difference was the fumes. The lashes looked pretty great and she was nice except they began to fall out as soon as I left. There was also a noticeable glue line on my eyelid. And a few of my natural bottom lashes were glued on the corners to the top falsies. I had to pry them apart with tweezers, ouch. I've had extensions before and never had them fall out so soon. Perhaps it is because of my hair cycle they mentioned but I don't think so since multiple lashes have fallen out everyday. Wow, I'm shook. I've been going to Wink for eyelash extensions about 2 months now and I was already so impressed with this location, but Lily is a game changer. First I wanna say that you literally can't go wrong with wink lash parlor, if you've had bad experiences with eyelash extensions in the past I HIGHLY recommend that you go here so you can see just how beautiful and worth the cost/maintenance lash extensions can be when done correctly (like wink always does.) Seriously, you won't find a more professional place in the area. I drive almost an hour to come here because they're THAT superior. Anyway, today was my first time having my lashes done by Lily and I honestly could not recommend her more! I've had a different gal do my eyelashes every time I've been in so I've seen how the service can vary slightly from person to person. The other ladies have been very professional and are obviously amazing at their jobs but my one comment is that the other times I had my lashes done/filled one eye would be slightly less full than the other. Not anything that'd be noticeable unless someone stared at your face at first, but as my lashes shed over time the side that already started out thinner would become pretty sparse after only a week and a half or so to the point where I had to fill patches with mascara. Really not a big deal and is probably mostly noticeable to me, just thought it was worth noting. However, after Lily did my lashes they are literally PERFECT. She put so much time and detail into her work and I'm so happy. I've honestly been staring at my face trying to figure out which side is thinner (to avoid sleeping on that side) and I can't even figure it out. On top of that her kindness is unmatched, if you're the kind of person who likes talking a bit while you're getting them done (as sometimes laying there for up to 2 hours can get boring) Lily was great company. She seemed genuinely interested in the conversation, it didn't feel like she was just humoring you because you're paying her for a service. Lily did my lash lift and tint around 3 months ago, and although it obviously no longer shows I was so happy with the results. She was so professional and after starting the lift all of the worries that I had about lift and tint disappeared. After Lily had finished the lift I was stunned. This place is a joke. They charge you 60 bucks for an hour refill and apparently even Donna, with 6 years experience, she averages about one lash per minute. Don't waste your money. And for all you ladies that don't know any better - you can easily get a full on refill in about 35-45 min if the chick knows what's she's doing. Such a waste. - and no - when a technician pauses close to a full minute between Lashes doing nothing at all - that is not taking careful time. In Love!! Today I just got my first full set of eyelash extensions done by the fabulous Devon, and I am still in awe. I found the building and Parked nearby (I recommend leaving a little early because parking in that area can be a little bit of a hassle) I then went inside and checked in, Devon introduced herself and we got right down to business. After doing lots of research, I decided to come to Wink for an eyelash lift & tint. I have very long, thick eyelashes and have never done anything to them before. I made an appointment with Miriam, who ruined my eyelashes. From what the owner told me, she missed a very important step, which in turn completely over processed my eyelashes. So much so, they were curled into my eyelids. I was literally in tears when I left the salon. The owner refunded me my money and had another employee, Colleen try her best to help me with the mess made by Miriam. It has been just over 4 months and after plucking my eyelashes on a daily basis because they were curling into my eyeballs........they are finally starting to getting back to how they were. And to top it all off, Miriam was so incredibly rude to me from the minute I walked in, to the minute I walked out, in tears! I just read a similar review about Miriam, hopefully she has had a refresher course on how to do a lash lift. I was out of town for two weeks and I had to get a fill from a lash parlor in Wisconsin a week ago. I had to come to Wink Lash last night to fix what the other place had done. My girl not only fixed what was broken in just an hour ( which was all of my lashes) as well as offering me thicker lashes seeing that I like the mascara look.
