    Store has a good selection and Jim is really knowledgeable. Even more importantly, he's always fair and treats his customers as well.

A lamp was damaged in transit but the mover who did so told me immediately instead of hiding the issue. That showed integrity and as a customer I appreciate that. My problem with Expert Movers is there owner did not excel in customer service and the movers who were conducting the move did not seem very well educated on the business side of the company. The final price was about double what I was quoted out. I received a discounted rate because only two movers showed up that morning, but it also took them twice as long as they expected. Life happens, not upset about paying extra but the customer service is where the company failed big time. When I inquired about the broken lamp I was met with a combative response, telling me I should've read the contract better. I understand I signed on the dotted line but the way that was explained to me was poor and the combative tone of the owner explaining this to me was quite off. At the end of the day I could care less about a lamp, I could also care less about one mover not showing up, and I could even go as far to say I don't care about the price being double of that which I was quoted. My problem with this company is their poor customer service and aggressive tone. Since the last conversation (argument) with Kevin their owner I have not received any further communication. He said he was going to have the movers send me a copy of the contract, and then quickly hung up. I did receive a cell phone picture of the contract but have yet to hear from Kevin, the owner. I chose this company based on reviews, they were not the cheapest quote, and certainly not the cheapest final price. Business is more than signing the dotted line, business is about customer service of which this company struggles with. I hate to leave such a poor review, unfortunately the service was very poor. We all have bad days, and maybe that was what was happening. I hope the best for the company, and their staff.

The movers were good natured and completed the job quickly. They did show up 1.5 hours late, but they ended up moving some furniture at our destination out of scope of the original estimate without complaint or extra charge.

I was prepared to pay the minimum $95 to get my sticky keys fixed on my piano but I called Kyle and he was so kind!! Instead of diving for my money, he said sticky keys were easy to fix and walked me through text messages and FaceTime to fix the issue. Would you believe that a post it fell in my piano and was the cause of the sticky keys? I felt silly - this was a YouTube issue and Kyle was kind and patient with me! The best part - it was all for FREE! I truly appreciated the extra effort Kyle gave to help me out and I will certainly come back here to get my piano tuned and/or get our piano repaired.

It was out of tune, responded poorly to key contact, and was overall in a pretty bad shape. Discovering their business in Chesapeake was amazing news, and I was met with a quick response and prompt, flexible scheduling for a tuning in my own home. Both Michael and Kyle displayed patience, politeness, and colloquial professionalism upon arrival and during conducting their services. By each time they worked on my piano, it completely different and better every time. Their rates are fixed for the most part depending on what needs to be worked on, but all-in-all affordable for restoring the beautiful sounds of my formerly neglected instrument. Their business is definitely one that has your back! So much more to say, but I cannot forget to compliment Kyle's phenomenal playing!

    I can't even begin to say how horrible this company is. They are not a military friendly, have…read morehorrible customer service and do not care about their customers at all. We rented our son's musical instrument in New York and then moved to Virginia. We went to this store in VA to return the instrument in August since my son decided on a different elective. I was told from Maggie based in their system we only had 1 more month to pay on it and it was ours. So I took it back home. We still were getting charged monthly. When I called 1800 customer service number, I was informed by representative Carlos based on their system New York and New Jersey are the only states that rent monthly NOT rent to own so I was continuing to be charged. I asked for reimbursement and was told he couldn't do anything and a supervisor will call me. Supervisor Ana called me back 5 days later and I was told the only thing I could do was return the instrument to not get charged anymore. I escalated it to a higher level supervisor who again didn't call back for a week, while I returned the instrument that day in store. Maggie and Chris were in the store and they apologized and stated they couldn't do anything and to continue with the 1800 number. When I called to determine the status of my case, I was told I didn't have authorization as it was under my husband's name and he had to call. I gave the representative, Carlos my case number and supervisor Ana's name and magically I could speak about the incident. Hence the reason for this review! Congratulations Music and Arts you received a $200 donation from us, but we will recommend ALL of our friends and any MILITARY people to NOT use your company. It is a shame there is no military clause! I still do not understand how the store's system is DIFFERENT than the customer service system? Remember people, document everything (date, time, personnel you spoke to) because it matters.
