Wintri came out same day to look at my central AC unit even though they were flooded with calls and other companies wouldn't even return my messages. They ran diagnosis and set me up with portable AC units to get us through. The interior of house was mid 90s during peak hours and I have a 2 year old and a 1 month old. Zach and his team did a great job installing our new HVAC split system. Our previous unit (a Goodman and was installed 17 years ago), was beginning to fail 2-3 times a year and leaking badly. I scheduled multiple visits from HVAC firms and found Zach knowledgable, forthright, and earnest. We ended up installing a 5-ton, variable speed, 18 SEER Trane split system along with a digital display, and air scrubber. We're amazed at how the temperature in the house remains so consistent now. We have solar so I've been able to track energy expenditure closely and the Trane, though it runs almost continuously on hot days, actually uses less electricity. They even built a service platform in my attic so the area would be up to code. Zach is responsive and attentive to his customer's needs. Quick, efficient fix during the teeth of a heat wave handled without a problem by Wintri. AC finally gave up the ghost after 20+ years of service, a distinct burning plastic smell coming thru the vents. Called a couple other places but honestly, they didn't seem to want our business, not even wanting to schedule a visit, just a we'll call you next week brush off. Nope, we needed our air back asap!...Enter Wintri. Spoke with Zach, bit of a mix up on the first visit w/what the problem was w/the unit but not an issue, he came right back out the next day and told us exactly what was wrong with it and gave us options, either to fix the worn part and buy us a little more time as there were other issues or to get a whole new system. What I really liked was he wasn't pushy in any way, he was honest about how long it would take to get the part for our old unit and that it might just be a band aid. He gave us the price of a new unit, time frame, payment options and that was it. He didn't push with either plan. Spoke to my wife and we decided on a new unit. He told us the work that would be needed, the adapter they'd have to fashion to fit the new unit etc etc. gave us a date he was confident everything would be in place, we handled the financial part w/Wintri as they are partnered w/Wells Fargo, very painless, got approved same day and we were off. Zach gave me an install date and a time frame between 7:30-8:30am for the following week. Ok, so we'd be without AC for a week, rough but doable. Then Zach said he could drop off a couple of portable AC units til the install date to help us get by! Those units were a lifesaver! Kept the house cool enough to make it livable. The day finally arrived. I thought "these guys are always late, I have time to gas up and go grocery shopping". I run my errands and when I arrive at around 8:15, every truck for the install is there ready to get to work! They removed the old unit, placed the adapter, the new unit and installed a new thermostat and were done by 11:30am. Cleaned up and gone by 12pm. The new unit works great! House is cooler than it's been in years. Pure professionalism from Zach and his teammates top to bottom. Every facet from the original repair call to the final install went great. He picked up his phone or returned my call quickly every time. Highly recommended. Oh yeah, the price for our new unit was about $5000 less than the other quote we were given for a similar high end unit! read more

Our heater was only blowing cold air. For a $79 service call a Wintri employee came out and let us know that our circuit board was burned out. My husband asked what a new circuit board would cost and and was told $899-$1,200! Then they emailed us a quote for $1,075 to replace the board. Because this seemed steep, we searched and found the same circuit board online for just $60. Talk about overcharging! To be dishonest about the price of the circuit board is unacceptable. For this reason we cannot recommend Wintri to anyone. This morning in half an hour, my husband replaced the circuit board and all is running well. Our HVAC unit was only 10 yrs old so when the heater/AC stopped turning on I wasn't too happy. No one knew of a company to recommend so I went to Yelp. We contacted a few different companies and they were all responsive but this company had all 5 stars. They answered right away and even mentioned something we could ck before they came out. Unfortunately it wasn't an easy fix but Zach knew exactly what it was. They had to order the part (not cheap) but it came in on Tuesday (ordered Friday) and Zach vas back to install the part on Wednesday. So thankful it's working again.
