This location has a large bar and a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, Our waitress was very friendly and efficient and she gave me and my friend time to catch up and chat before she took our dinner order. We both ordered three tacos each, which includes rice and beans. And some of the tacos were only $3 each (Thursday special). The food was delicious and flavorful! Loved the indoor/outdoor concept. Very open, fresh air kinda vibes. Food was incredible. Extremely affordable. I got so many things- chips & salsa, a few veggie tacos, & a side of plantain all for under $20! That's a steal and the food fills you up! Family friendly but a full bar area if that's your thing. Haven't been to (any) BelAir in about 1.5 years. Went to oak creek location with 12 girls. The experience was great. Our server paid so much attention to detail. Constantly wanting to make sure everyone was happy. (I so wish I knew her name). Margaritas ate always great (not a gross "mix"). Food was better than I remembered. 3 tacos with rice and beans for $15. (My photo is all rice/ no beans). Love that you can mix the tacos for "custom" plate. I was intrigued by the jalapeño popper taco, but that was my least favorite. (Still ok, but better options). Also had spicy pollo, and korean beef tacos. They brought us free churro dessert since we were celebrating a wedding. It was a lovely night, so the "garage doors" were open which gave the whole dining room the feel of being outside. This place was okay overall. The Birria Rolls were absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the chimichanga, but it was covered in so much sauce that it lost its deep-fried crispiness and ended up soggy. I really enjoyed the chorizo taco, it was really good. However, the Jalapeño Popper taco was far too spicy, mostly because the jalapeño wasn't cooked all the way, which made it overpowering. The Birria taco was also disappointing since it was loaded with sriracha, masking the flavor of the birria completely. The rice and beans weren't to our taste either. The flavors just didn't work for us, and the beans had more of a soupy consistency. On the positive side, the service was very good. Stopped in today after a year or two because I recently saw they brought back my favorite taco (cheese and bean). I regret eating here. The chips and salsa were good, the same as it has always been. However, the rest of the food was actually awful. I got two tacos with meat and I took one bite of one a few bites of another and I really wish I didn't. The meat just didn't taste right. Even the rice did not taste good. I told my husband that it sort of tasted/smelled like dog food. I don't know how you make Mexican rice taste like that. The staff also seemed clueless. There were so many open tables and the staff sat a family of 5 at a table which consisted of two small tables of unequal heights pushed together despite having larger tables that were open. Very odd. I just had the worst lunch at BelAir Cantina! Went there for a Torta Sandwich. No longer on the menu! So I ordered three tacos el Pastor shrimp,el Pastor pork and a regular pork taco. They no longer provider complimentary chips and salsa. All three tacos were cold and the worst tasting tacos I have ever had. Even the Diet Coke was salty and four dollars from a gun. While visiting a friend in WI she said we have to go to my go to Mexican place. So apparently she bought a bottle and then they allow you to keep the bottle there in a locker and when you come they use your liquor to make whatever drinks you want so you don't have to pay for them! How neat is that. You present a card and it's like magic. So we definitely had to come there for our drinks. While there we ordered appetizers and a couple tacos. It was really good. We sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender and others near us. It first seemed a little stuffy but it ended up being a nice vibe. So my family and I were passing through from Michigan and decided to meet family at the restaurant because we had stopped a few years ago and we remembered it being good. I did not remember it being so expensive; I feel like the menu is misleading, read it carefully. My kids, 15 and 17 ordered what they wanted, I didn't have a chance to interpret for them what the menu meant, it was rediculous. My bill for my 2 kids and I was $67.28. I had a Carne Asada Bowl for $13.96, because it was gluten free, it was a mess of stuff I could not tell what was in it exactly, I did not like it and did not finish it. My daughter wanted the Ribey Taco-Corn, she thought it was a total of $7,10, the menu says they have a 3 tacos special, choose any 3 and get complimentary beans and rice. So my daughter chose the 3 tacos for the complimentary beans and rice, we had no idea it would cost $7.10, $7.10, $7.10 for her 3 tacos. $21.30 for 3 tacos, they were filled with caramelized onions that were terrible, the corn tortilla was soggy from the caramelized onions, she hated her meal and could not even eat it. My Son chose the Jalapeno Poper-corn taco and also wanted the beans and rice and thought if he thought his cost $4.65, not $4.65, $4.65, $4.65. Somehow they think if they put the words 1st Taco next to the cost they are covered from the misleading verbiage above it. My son tried to eat his food because he was hungry, but he too did not finish his meal. Looks like this, be careful!! Meh! The restaurant is clean and spacious. Our server was very nice. They have outside seating for summer which looks like it would be nice. We finished the basket of chips (3 of us) and were not asked if we wanted more. The food was disappointing. I ordered the pollo burrito and it was very dry inside. It wasn't really warm (temperature) either and the sauce was skimpy and only on the top. There was no spice to it either. I asked for extra salsa so that I could pour some onto the burrito once cut open. That helped. My friends meals were also just meh. They had tacos and rice or beans. We weren't rushed to leave which was nicecause we like to gab. They had many open tables as we were there early on a Wednesday. Nothing special here. I wouldn't go out of my way to return. 1/21/20 Came today for Taco Tuesday. They have starred tacos on the menu and those starred are $2. If you order 3 you get rice/beans with it. We don't like beans so stuck with just rice. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Tho service was a bit slow. There were a fair amount of people eating lunch. Still sticking with a 3 star review. The food was tasty for a discounted taco price day. My husband asked for corn shells and he got flour. Not the end of the world. You do get a little white bowl of chips and 3 Kinds of salsa to try. They taste good. We got another bowl of chips. There must be some learning curve involved for the disparaging reviews. We didn't have bad service, as in grouchy server with an attitude. But we had bad service, as in slow, no water refills, and "you're welcome"ing. To explain the last bit - when we sat down, our table was still dirty and hadn't been wiped down properly from the previous diners. So when the server came, we asked for it to be wiped down. I just assumed that there'd be some sort of a 'oh, I'm sorry, we didn't see that, we'll get you all set up." But there was NO response. She just walked away, then came back and wiped down the table. We thanked her. She said matter of factly - you're welcome. So it wasn't bad service like, the server could have rolled her eyes when we asked for the table to be wiped down and then wiped it down sliding dirty food all over our seats. I mean, she "you're welcome"ed us, so that can't be too bad, right? it was a Sunday afternoon, the place was almost empty, and our food took 30 minutes to come out. Our server never checked on us in between and we had to flag some random person down to get some more chips. Hubs had the carne asada burrito - good taste. It came with a knife stabbed in the middle so it was kind of scary, but taste buds were happy. I had the Korean burrito bowl - bad taste. Please don't call this mixture a Korean burrito bowl. I stopped by this location on Saturday while attending the Oak Creek Fall Harvest Festival at Drexel Town Square. It was in the middle of the afternoon with the sun shining so we wanted to order some drinks and sit outside. We were told by the hostess that they couldn't send a waitress outside to take our orders, but we could get our drinks at the bar and bring them out to their tables. That was okay with us. We waited well over 15 minutes for our group to be served. We only wanted a pitcher of margaritas, so it wasn't an overly complicated order and it was something that a few of us could share. There were two bartenders who were serving customers at the bar and mixing drinks for those who were seated inside. I'm not sure how service had been for them during the pandemic, but this was a pretty off time so I didn't think that we should have waited that long to be served, so that was a little disappointing. If I were to give a rating just for this experience it would be a 2.5/5. As the sun was starting to go down I thought it would be a good time to place a food order online so we could take it to go. I've placed food orders with them online before and know that their online ordering is great and generally they have your food ready within a few minutes of your preferred pick up time. My husband and I had a few errands to run so we placed our order online and for our desired time. I got a notification when our food was ready and it was waiting for me at the hostess stand when we got back. I ordered the salsa appetizer and some tacos. Everything was great and fresh. If we were to give a rating for their online ordering experience only it would be 5 stars. Since my experience encompasses both the in person and online ordering I guess I'll give 4 stars. Big take away- if you go there in person know that the service will be slow. But if you order online for take out then you should have a pretty good experience with some really tasty food. read more

I've heard good things about this restaurant so while out with a friend we decided to stop for lunch. The restaurant was clean and tables were spread out nicely. The hostess was friendly as well as our waitress. She came over with water right away and asked if we'd like to order anything else to drink. Not sure if they don't have a drink menu because she didn't provide one but we noticed one of there seasonal drinks when we walked in so we each ordered one of those. The chips and salsa came out rather fast and I have to say, their chips are awesome! The salsa was awesome as well, honestly some of the best chips and salsa I've ever had. It was a little odd to me that we'd been there for maybe 15 mins or so but were never brought menus, we had to ask. I've never been to a restaurant and had to ask for a menu, I mean, that's the reason I'm there right? I decided to go with trying 3 tacos, if you get 3 then rice and beans are included. I had the carne asada, steak alambre, and house made chorizo. You can chose black or pinto beans and I opted for the black. I absolutely loved the 2 tacos I tried, I still haven't had the chorizo because I was full, hopefully it holds up for lunch tomorrow! Stopped in last Friday for some tacos with sister in-law. She lives close to this location and extended me the dinner invite explaining she purchased her own bottle of tequila there and all our drinks would be poured from that bottle with no additional charge. Heck yeah, thought it sounded like a good deal for me..and quite honestly her too! I'm not really familiar with this practice and had no idea places still do it, but it's a win/win situation for everyone....they get continuing business and we get drunk for what seems like next to nothing. So anyhow, the service was great, but the place seemed a little light on traffic for a Friday night at 6:30. We got seated right away. Both of us did the 3 taco plate, comes with rice and beans(btw I asked and it turns out they are vegetarian and do not have any added lard) I stuck with the vegan options, which were conveniently marked with a "VG". Loved the black bean and corn taco, so simple, but flavorful. Least favorite was the root veggie taco, I would say the biggest complaint on that one was the carrots and potatoes were a little undercooked. Will I go again? Yes, probably so. BelAir is a modern twist on Mexican food. Every Tuesday and Thursday they have a $2 taco deal. If you order 3 tacos you get free rice and beans. This is the best and only time I go. I like the spicy pollo taco and the black bean and corn tacos. The tacos are good for a fast, cheap full meal for $6 on a Tuesday or Thursday. I'm a little disappointed that you have to pay for chips and salsa, it used to be complementary. A good place to keep in mind for a cheap taco Tuesday or Thursday meal. read more

We stopped for a late lunch on a weekday. Tables were occupied but it could not be called busy. At 2:00 half the tables in the restaurant were NOT cleared. They were littered with dirty plates, napkins, silverware and half-filled glasses. This was not a good impression to start with. We were seated next to a group of five plus children, not overly noisy, but laughing and talking. I asked if we couldn't go a bit farther where it seemed quieter, and we could chat. The answer was no. My friend, not wishing to cause a conflict, said it was OK. We sat. The table next to us on the other side was covered with the aforementioned liter. I wondered why our server didn't just pick up the stuff as he headed back to the kitchen several times. (A dozen other tables looked the same, so what was one more or less dirty table) The quesadilla I ordered looked and tasted like cardboard. The half I brought home is already in the garbage. I wanted the meat filling, and mistakenly said ground meat and was overcharged, as I did not say carne. This was reduced. As we were about to leave, I glanced at the dirty table a foot to my right.
