By far the worst electrical company in Virginia. American Home Shield sent these "nuts" to our house to fix a small electrical issue we had. The guy walked in and was complaining about his knee pain and how he's being overworked by this company (Can't make this stuff up). Within 10 minutes of being in the house he said he was incapable of climbing on the attic because of his bad knee and would let the company know they need to send someone else for the job. Well we waited a few days no call no show so we called this company and someone picked up and said they need a special ladder to climb the attic and I advised them our attic has pull down stairs and no ladder is needed. They said ok , let us call you back in an hour to let you know when someone can stop by. No one called for 3 Months!!! Yes, 3 months!! We got a call after 3 months once American Home Shield contacted this company about the status of the repair. The lady from wirenuts called and asked if we still needed help with our electrical. I advised her no help was needed and we took care of the problem already and asked her why she was calling after 3 months. She had no answer and said thank you and hung up. Soon after that, we get charged a $75 service fee from American Home Shield. I will pay $7,500 in legal fees before I pay $75 to this incompetent "company". By the way American home shield has been trying to contact them now also and keep getting a voicemail. What a joke, save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. read more

I had a rental home on the market a got a contract in about two weeks. The buyer's home inspector, "Ask the Home Inspector LLC", nearly burned down my house while performing his inspection. Before he came, everything was working perfectly. After he left, there were all kind of electrical problems. Needless to say, I was extremely upset. I called Wirenuts to have them look at the issues. First of all, the electrician was very prompt in arriving at the property. Within about 10 minutes, the problem was diagnosed. The electrician was able to assess the circuitry and accurately pinpoint the problem. However, due to it being an older house, he did not have some of the necessary parts in his truck. But he was able to quickly locate the parts locally and promptly make the necessary repairs. Fortunately, the damage caused by the home inspector was not as bad as it could have been. I was extremely happy with the service performed by the Wirenuts electrician. I have dealt with many contractors in the past, and it seems like a lot of them do not have the clients best interest at heart. In addition, I felt like some of them overcharged me. Wirenuts DEFINITELY is not in that category. They are very professional and knowledgeable and they definitely provide exception service. I would recommend Wirenuts 100%. read more

I am writing a review to provide feedback on the professional electrician services provided by Wire Nuts; specifically assistance received from Donnie.  The technician provided a courtesy call 30 mins. in advance which was very professional. Upon arrival he formally introduced himself and resolved an electrical connectivity issue that was previously unresolved by the initial technician. Donnie was very thorough and went above and beyond the call of duty; as he provided an estimate to additional electrical work to install porch lights on the garage and even dismantled and replaced an overhead shower light bulb - that hasn't worked in 2 years; as I was unable to dismantle alone. The replacement of the light bulb was very uncharacteristic as that type of service typically falls outside the scope of electrician duties. I highly recommend Donnie and will request him by name for all future electrician work. read more

After a recent storm, one of my breakers tripped for an unknown reason. I tried everything, but no matter what I did, the breaker kept tripping. The first electrician I called was as baffled as I was, and he couldn't figure it out saying it's probably my ceiling fan, etc. I then called Wirenut, and they sent Donnie. From the first minute I met him, I knew he was very competent. He was very methodical with his troubleshooting, working one outlet at a time until he identified the culprit with the last outlet. It took close to an hour to locate and fix the issue that seemed impossible to figure out. Donnie was extremely professional, very knowledgeable​ and an absolute pleasure to work with. I'm so thankful that Brent Mullins from Wirenuts was assigned to work on our sump pump. We rent our home. Brent could have done a quick fix that probably would have lasted through our stay here, but not through the next tenants.. . When he realized that we have young children, he said something like "Ma'm, I'm sorry, but I can't do the quick fix. I need to protect you and your family. If your laundry room fills with water and one of your little ones walks in while the electrical connection shorts out, that could be the last of that little one...or a child from the next family who moves in here." Issues with my circuit breaker progressed to the point where I lost all power in the middle on Winter. Wirenuts sent Donnie, the electrician to determine what was causing the strain on the breaker. Donnie was pleasant, willingly shared his knowledge, and answered all of my questions. I particularly appreciated his attention-to-detail when he had me turn on one appliance at-a-time (heater, stove, dryer, and water heater) to provide an accurate assessment of the problem, while he monitored the breaker. Donnie was sincerely concerned about me not having heat and was able to temporarily get the heat functioning until the part could be replaced. Thanks again, Donnie. read more

I called Wirenuts to scheduled an appointment to repair my doorbell, the Young Lady who assisted me was great, working to meet my schedule. The electrician called prior to the visit and arrived on time. Everything you would want in an electrician but seldom find. Our home warranty sent out wirenuts and we couldn't be happier with our experience. Not only were they courteous, polite, and respectful they were also honest and upfront about what the home warranty would cover. Donnie was Great, courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, he started out as a call for our home warranty but turns out ceiling fans were not covered. We had him come back after he had the parts and fix 2 ceiling fans that had been previously attempted to repair by a handyman. Found the problem, and fixed it. Jason was professional, knowledgeable and thorough. We had power outage in two rooms in an older home we recently purchased. We thought we might have to rewire. The problem was a burnt-out switch which affected the other switches and outlets. Jason located the switch after troubleshooting rooms and panel, and replaced the damaged switch.
