My youngest just turned one, so our most recent visit was for that one-year check up/physical. From the ladies at the check-in desk, to the nurses and doctors, everyone here is really great. Their system is efficient too - never had to wait more than five minutes past our appointment time to be seen. The facility is extremely well-kept, and definitely caters to kids. Cartoons on in the lobby, bright colors about, and fun wall decals. The rooms themselves are very spacious! At our previous peds office, rooms felt small and confined, but it's complete opposite here. Also any room we've ever been in has a window. Just overall a good vibe - not sterile and hospital-y. Appreciative of the kind care and the willingness the doc/nurses have to chat with us in length (doesn't feel like a revolving door). Oh and both my boys are appreciative of the complimentary book they get after check-ups, how nice! Very happy to take my family here.

Everything else seemed fine, except that after one…read moreblood draw from my child's left arm, we were ready to leave, the nurse found that the blood draw order included some other tests that need more blood, she had to do another blood draw, this time on my child's right arm. The nurse apologized. We were heart broken for both of the little arms of my 5-year old child had to be poked by needles. The other blood draw was due to the error of the nurse, and it should be totally avoided. It is very dangerous that the nurse did not read the order or did not understand the order at best. Everybody going there should be really careful!!!

I was 2 minutes late for the appointment and still had to go to the other side of the building and then go to the building next door. I left. I asked at last 6 staff people for directions. Most had no idea where the clinic is. The signage was terrible. Often cannot be read from the street. No street numbers. Confusing, similar names for buildings. Those who knew where I needed to go used "insider" names. I had never been there and had to keep asking for a better explanation. One person directed me to a parking ramp. I spent 10 minutes there looking for a parking space and never did. I tried valet parking but it was jammed (wrong building anyway). The office where my appointment was never sent me a map! They have maps but they are not great. No clue about what the front of the building looks like. No name on the building. Or buildings. I think the same name applies to more than one building. This is the worst. It is not designed for patients (customers). Maybe they should have people at every street entrance to give directions? ANYTHING. I don't want to go back.

Came here for a hip injection (not cool, modern, and groovy but rather anatomically located left…read morepelvis proximal end of my femur) and I was rather anxious having researched the procedure. Of course I also researched the surgeon, one very capable fellow named Dr. Edwards who has an impressive training and experience record. Yes, I have trust issues. He was just the right combination of confidence, respectful bedside manner, and efficacy that made me feel silly when it was over and done with in the blink of an eye. For procedures like this, do not look at the needles, but do be aware of how far away (in surgeon's distances) important nerves are from said needles. The current imaging technology that allows for well guided needle insertion also makes these extremely low risk routine procedures. I'm still talking to myself here. The clinic is clean, the staff is very good, I especially appreciate being treated as if I'm not old and confused when I do provide some evidence that this might be the case. I do not see the need for the physician's assistant, seemed a superfluous extra cost layer but that's American Healthcare. The only complaint I have is a pretty serious one, it's very hard to get in for an appointment in the first place. I was referred 6 weeks before the procedure by my Ascension nurse practitioner (excellent btw, NPs are a better choice for primary care) but I had to call myself. The first four calls didn't get me through a completely non-medical screening agent who was only interested in my financial situation. But also they were all quite incompetent, they could not ascertain, verify that I have Medicare plus supplemental. I do, but since they couldn't substantiate this, they wouldn't make an appointment. I was in considerable discomfort which is why I was persistent, but they clearly do not care about patient pain or health at the entry level. I had to make an appointment with another orthopedic surgeon (another 3 phone calls) who works with Dr. Edwards at another clinic and get referred back to Edwards. All of these phone calls of course have to be while I'm supposed to be working. Then, once scheduled, the surgical clinic has to call and talk to me in person, again while I'm at work and not allowed to take phone calls. It's like the clinic, indeed much of the American healthcare delivery system is stuck in the 20th century for communications technology. Heck, I'm an old man and I learned how to use Google Calendar, Internet messaging, e-mail, and SMS. I know it's possible, my nurse practitioner and her office, and dentist as well can use all of these so communication is quite easy. The getting in part was so unpleasant and inconvenient this might have been a two star review in spite of how adept Dr. Edwards is if it weren't for a single act of respect from the front desk person (I won't name her in case she wasn't supposed to do this) who agreed that the office needs to catch up and move on from late 1900s phone tag. Or maybe I should find my telephone answering machine and hook it back up.

It literally says a sign to silence phones and to make phone calls outside due to there courtesy. They also told me a different address that I don't live in at all for my address which makes me skeptable if they are futzing around with my information. I absolutely don't prefer to say my name and address out loud when they ask me in front of other patients waiting. Katie told me I had to type it in the computer. I was scheduled at this location, which I hadn't been aware of. It's very nice that they have a dedicated parking lot, since East side street parking can be a challenge, especially after snowfall. Check-in was fast and friendly. The lab was also very quick and efficient. I did experience some wait before I saw the doctor, but his assistant was great. I liked him very much as well and thought the care I received was very good. They need some new equipment, it seems, but overall, this location is a great addition to Froedtert's presence on the East side.

I decided to go with Dr. Kristin Magloicco, MD based on her vibe and the description of her services and expertise. I can happily say I made a good choice! I'm sure the other doctors are great as well. I had an earlier morning appointment and admittedly, I have a bit of a fear of medical stuff. I checked in on time and didn't have to wait too long to be called in to meet with the nurse for the normal pre-appointment things like weight, blood pressure, temp, etc. I'd say I waited maybe about 10 minutes for the doctor to come in. Because this was a new patient exam/physical, it did take a bit longer for the appointment because we talked about family history and different things. Dr. Magloicco was thorough and I never felt rushed or judged for any life choices. She gave good suggestions for improvements in my day to day and really did make me feel comfortable. I was happy to know that she could also do my pap which is nice to have one doctor do that with your yearly physical. Overall, I had a good experience and got my bloodwork and other results back quickly. The clinic is new so it's obviously nice and up to date. The ladies doing my bloodwork were friendly as well. I highly recommend going here if you live nearby or need a new doctor!

The space is clean and well maintained, if not as new or fancy as some locations. There is ample lot parking available. The doctors I've seen here have been excellent and really invested in solving medical issues. A lot of the ob/gyn staff is headquartered here.

I see a Dr. Paskowitz here on an ophthalmology referral from my optometrist and thanks to his…read moreexpertise so far, I still can see Dr. Paskowitz. Even with a referral I vet health care professionals more carefully than American Presidential candidates investigate vice presidential candidates and Paskowitz definitely passes muster. I also like his chairside manner, he has no problem talking to me with respect and at my intellectual level. But they don't dole out doctorates (at real universities at any rate) easily so almost all ophthalmologists are qualified, it's the staffs they employ that make the real difference. I'm being treated and watched for the very earliest stage of glaucoma, so I want to remind everyone that yearly eye exams are very important. There's a number of serious conditions the annual eye check up can catch that can be prevented or significantly forestalled with early detection. The few remaining optometrists in private practice (see Kind Optical for example) on average will do a more personable and careful job than the big chains, but any yearly exam is better than none. I actually went to another eye surgeon for the laser treatment to relieve my high interocular pressure, but some of the staff he has working for him are just too disrespectful for my taste. One actually scolded me for answering my phone "claiming" to be "Dr." de Silva and further chastised me for not answering my phone previously. It was one of those offices that address all patients, regardless of age or title, as if we are all children being taken to see the principal. The staff here is much better, especially once you get past scheduling the initial office visit. There are a few locations, and the first phone call goes to some central phone bank, the downtown location is where I go and once I got the phone number for this location (which isn't actually easy to find) scheduling got a lot easier. I hope they maintain at least some of their COVID19 policies because I really like not being close to other patients while waiting. It took me years to figure this out, but bring your own sunglasses or blue blocking glasses so you don't have to walk out with their flimsy single use ones after pupil dilation.
