After a horrible experience with AAA, My wife and I were forced to spend the night in our camper just to the side of interstate 8 eastbound, since initiating the call around 3 pm. Shane had responded soon after the first call was made to AAA initially, but at that time AAA had things pretty messed up and he was told his services weren't needed. He responded right away the next morning after I initiated another call with AAA . He was also upset with AAA and very empathetic to our situation. Shane's professionalism and ethics were amazing. He wanted to know what the problem was with the truck, so I told him I had seen a fuel line leak at one of the injectors. He looked at it and said, hop in my truck, we're going to Napa. We went to Napa, he purchased the fuel line and insulator and installed them. It turned out that the leak wasn't the primary issue, but he did fix the leak, and we still needed a tow. He towed us to his lot in Casa Grande. He made the arrangments to have the truck at a shop on Monday.... it was currently Saturday. I tried calling RV parks in Casa Grande, but they were not answering during our travel to his shop. He arranged for a place for us to park with full hookups. I don't know how this situation could have had any better of an outcome than what Shane had done for us. He is a man who is direct and succinct, which may bother some people, but his heart is truly as big as they get.

We are from Palm Desert, CA, and broke down 340 miles from home- pretty much in middle of nowhere. It was late on a Saturday and Elite Towing towed us to Middleton Auto Repair in Casa Grande. The driver was very polite and efficient. We have AAA Premier RV road coverage and Elite Towing also worked with AAA to make the tow charge $0. Thank you for working with us and AAA. It was a very stressful experience, and we really appreciate the great service. Well done!

Subject: URGENT FORMAL COMPLAINT - Child Safety Concerns, Misleading Charges, and Failure to…read moreProvide Adequate Customer Service To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this formal complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment I received from AAA during a recent roadside assistance incident. I am beyond disappointed by the lack of concern, empathy, and urgency shown by your organization during what was a dangerous situation involving both my 11-year-old son and myself. I became stranded on the side of a busy highway with a flat tire. Traffic was passing at high speeds, creating an extremely dangerous environment. I was not alone--I had my 11-year-old son in the vehicle with me. As a parent, there is nothing more important than the safety of my child, yet throughout this experience I felt that AAA showed little to no concern for the risks we were facing. To further complicate the situation, I am a diabetic. Stressful situations and extended delays can create legitimate health concerns. Despite explaining the seriousness of our circumstances, the representative I spoke with, Cindy, showed no sense of urgency and no meaningful concern for our safety. At no point did I feel that AAA was treating this as the emergency situation that it was. What disturbed me most was the apparent focus on money rather than member safety. AAA advertises itself as a company that provides peace of mind and protection when motorists find themselves stranded. However, when I needed assistance, I felt as though policies and payments were given more attention than the fact that a child and a member were sitting dangerously close to high-speed traffic. The situation became even more frustrating when I was informed that the additional mileage charge would be approximately $60. Based on that information, I agreed to proceed. I later discovered that the actual charge was $92. This is a significant difference and raises serious concerns regarding transparency and accuracy. Had I been told the correct amount from the beginning, I would have been able to make an informed decision. I am demanding a clear explanation regarding the following: Why was I quoted approximately $60 and then charged $92? Why are AAA members required to wait 48 hours before certain membership benefits become active? How can AAA justify charging significant additional fees after members have already paid for a membership? Where are these charges and restrictions clearly disclosed to consumers? What specific procedures are in place when a member is stranded with a child in a dangerous location? Why did the representative appear to show so little concern for the immediate safety risks involved? As a paying member, I expected AAA to place safety first. Instead, I was left feeling abandoned, frustrated, and misled. The reality is that my son and I were sitting on the side of a highway with vehicles speeding past us while the company that claims to protect motorists seemed far more concerned about fees and policies than the well-being of its members. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in AAA. I joined because I believed that if I ever found myself in an emergency situation, AAA would be there to help. Instead, I was left questioning whether member safety is truly a priority within your organization. I am requesting a formal written response addressing every issue outlined in this letter. I also request that this complaint be reviewed by management and that appropriate action be taken to ensure that future members, especially families with children, are not treated in a similar manner. If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will consider sharing my experience through consumer review websites, social media platforms, and other appropriate channels so that others can make informed decisions regarding their membership. No parent should ever feel that the safety of their child is secondary to company policies and fees. Unfortunately, that is exactly how AAA made me feel during this incident. I expect a prompt response. Sincerely, Dan Schroeder AAA Member
