I personally love Hibachi and saw the reviews for this place and figured my husband and I would give it a go. On a positive note it's open pretty late so it's a spot to go to for late night eats. Unfortunately it wasn't as good as we hopped it would be. Our soup was cold and the noodles and rice had little to no flavor. The Scallops were a good size and tasty and the NY Strip was a little more overcooked than I would have preferred. My lemon drop martini was visually appealing and was definitely Instagram worthy but didn't taste right at all. Even the "show" was a little underwhelming. There are definitely other places in town that should be checked out first before coming here.

I am a HUGE lover of Hibachi food so when we stumbled across this spot i was very excited and it did not let me down! The Chicken Hibachi plate with fried rice and veggies was delicious. My friends both enjoyed their food options as well. I loved that this place was located close enough to the must-see spots in Salem but wasn't super crowded (probably because its a dinner spot and we went early in the day). Service and ambiance of the place were spot on.

This review is based on my wife's and daughter's recent visit to this restaurant and their overall experience. They really enjoyed this resturant. The staff was friendly and attentive, food was very good along with drinks, menu selection good, and their Habachi Chef was very good and entertaining. Overall, they had a great dining experience here.

Delicious! Ambiance is really cool too. We ordered the chicken hibachi meal w/ white rice and a side Ginger salad w/ GYOZA. Everything was great! Server was friendly and attentive.

Whenever we're in Salem, we always order from Witch City Hibachi. It's our favorite spot for sushi in town. The Hex Roll ($22.95) is a must-have for us every time. It's mango, avocado, and tempura lobster in soy paper then topped with spicy crab and seaweed. It's a luxe treat of lobster that's cooked perfectly. I also love their sweet shrimp sashimi. It's not super common in my neck of the woods and it's always so fresh from here. I also really enjoy the Orange River Roll ($15.95) which is spicy salmon topped with more salmon and a special sauce. If there's salmon, I'm gonna order it. The Bo Bo Booie Roll ($17.95) is also delicious, filled with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crab, avocado, and crunchies then wrapped in soy paper. The staff is always super nice whenever we come in, and the restaurant itself is a pretty big space with warm, inviting colors and vibes. Also, their branding on their to-go times like napkins and chopsticks is adorable. We've never had a bad time here, and definitely recommend it.

Salem is just full of lines in October. Waited 45 mins for breakfast and waited 50 mins here for dinner. The wait for habachi was about 2 hours so we opted for regular dining. While we waited we decided what we wanted to order: avocado rolls, gyozas, chicken & shrimp teriyakis which comes with a side of soup and salad. We ordered the moment we sat down but luckily the kitchen was turning food over fast! Don't be fooled by this spot thinking they churn out mediocre food because they're busy. The food was surprisingly delicious! First off, I dont see many Japanese places doing shrimp teriyaki. Excellent, large 10 pieces of juicy grilled shrimp with teriyaki sauce over a bowl of rice hits the spot. The chicken was all white meat chicken breast, grilled to perfection! After a long day in Salem, if you're craving dinner..this is the spot to be!

Went for lunch and the food was quick and good. The Halloween decorations were very cute and they even had Halloween music playing. A nice quick place for lunch before walking further to downtown Salem.

Came here for dinner after a huge book event in Peabody. Celebrating my friend and I because it was also our birthday. This was some of the best Hibachi I've had in a while. I ordered the Hocus Pocus Punch and the Chicken & Scallop Hibachi Combo. The service was impeccable. They staff at the hostess station was great, we were seated within 5mins of arriving (we had a reservation) and the chef and waitress was friendly and helpful. The establishment was clean with a bit of a cozy feel to it and i liked that even though the bar was separeated it didnt feel isolated. I would go back on my next trip to Salem

As busy as Salem is in October, we visited Witch City Hibachi Inc and had an incredible time! Do not pass this place up. The food was genuinely delicious, and you could tell they take pride in everything they serve. The pumpkin martini was perfect for the season--it hit the spot so much that I've even recreated it at home for my family. It was a cold, rainy day, and the ambiance couldn't have been better. With a montage of Tim Burton films on the TVs and spooky music playing in the background, it felt like we were part of a Halloween movie. We started with miso soup to warm up, followed by crab rangoons that were fantastic. Then came a traditional California roll, which was just right, and a Godzilla roll that gave off serious Beetlejuice vibes. The Godzilla roll was definitely the highlight and a must-try! If you're in Salem, Witch City Hibachi Inc is a must for both the food and the unique atmosphere!

Witch City was a great experience and vibe. The food was great and staff were very friendly. We stayed a long while after we were done eating and felt very welcomed the entire time. We would definitely come back for the teriyaki chicken and noodles. Great restaurant!

I went up to Salem to go shopping and visit a friend, so we decided to get hibachi! What a great decision. The service was so good and the food was delicious. It was a little bright for my liking, but other than that I couldn't have asked for a better dinner. The chef spraying sake into our mouths didn't hurt a bit either!

This is my first time here and I can say that I definitely recommend this place if your in the Salem area looking for a good quality hibachi place or if you're just a tourist visiting this is a good place as well I will be back here in the near future.

I really wanted to like this place. Came in because I thought it'd be fun to see their Beetlejuice theme. Theme was fun. The place had cute decorations and staff were wearing Beetlejuice costumes so that was fun. The food & service? Not so much. I felt rushed from the moment I entered even though the place was empty. I opted for their hibachi shrimp (served table-side) & it came lukewarm at best. Bummer. The flavor was meh. And immediately after my tummy was in pain. Aghhh! The check came & gratuity was included. Now I understood why the service was so bad. It didn't matter because she was going to be tipped anyways. Oh and their bathrooms didn't have toilet paper. Will not be returning.

However, the food itself wasn't spectacularly special for me to grant the fifth star. There was a good amount of fat on the pork belly, and I wasn't really a fan of the wavy noodles. It's like cheap noodles in what should be a premium dish. The flavored sodas (N/A alternatives) were a great find and a decent value on the menu.
