My wife and I had lunch here today and let me tell you it was DELICIOUS!!! We both had the 40 Creek BBQ burger and it's been the best burger I've had on our 1,600 mile trip from New Mexico to Maple Ridge, Canada. Also the beer was nice and cold . Yummy food, good atmosphere and friendly service (albeit a bit slow, but apologetic)! We stopped here after our camping trip to grab a quick bite to eat. I love their "sides" section of the menu where everything is $6.95. We ended up ordering a few sides to share along with their maple bacon Caesar. The Caesar itself was a bit too sweet for my liking, but it came with a hearty slice of bacon and pickled asparagus. Soup of the day (beef and barley) - FOUR STARS Hearty, flavourful soup - very delicious! Fries and gravy (extra $1.50 for gravy) - FIVE STARS There's something about that dark brown, powdered gravy that reminds me of my childhood. Loved these thick cut fries and definitely loved the gravy! Chicken strips - FOUR STARS It came with 4 pieces of crispy chicken tenders and a side of plum sauce. Chili cheese fries with pulled pork - FOUR STARS Portions were good for $6.95 each. We even had leftovers to take home with us. Service was friendly but really slowed down once we received our food. We had requested for water but our server forgot about it until the end of our meal. She was apologetic about it which was appreciated. read more

So glad I tried this place out! My family took me out for my birthday dinner at this place and it did not disappoint. While the main menu had plenty of tasty options the real star was the Sides menu. The sheer amount of available choices was glorious. You can get exactly what you want and I love the fact that you can choose from any of the side options without up-charge. This alone sets Witchcraft apart from other similar places. If you are unable to find something that suits your fancy here you need to stay home for dinner. My only criticism is that although this is a pub, there were kids there. I know it is allowed but as a personal choice I don't love it. I sometimes want to go out for an adult dinner where I know I am not going to have to listen to kids running around, whining and throwing tantrums all of which happened while we were here. However if you don't mind putting up with all this I would have given this place a 4 or 5. read more

Went in around 6pm for dinner with three friends Friday night. It did not seem overly busy and there was a host/server standing around. It's seat yourself so we wandered around but all tables were full or dirty. A table was cleaned for us and we sat down but it was over 10 minutes before the server brought menus. Server seemed very flustered. Drinks were incredibly slow. Everything was so slow and that was just the start. The food legitimately took an hour and 20 minutes. We had to keep flagging the server over for drinks and other needs. Tables around us were also asking on how long food was to take. We have all worked as servers in the past so we understand certain challenges however this was simply poor service. The only redeeming factor was the food, we all had beef dips and they were good and the fries were phenomenal. I'd like to come back but I am hesitant given the poor service. read more

I have a hard time recommending this place, the only saving grace is the quite friendly wait staff. The whole experience was very mismatched, from decor that felt sterile and claustrophobic, hard wooden benches not appropriate for the length of time we had to sit on them and a menu of headscratching choices. The food was drastically overpriced ($18 for a plate of nachos made of soggy potato chips) but passable for the most part. Dinner for 2 added up to $80 only including one beer. The waitstaff was the one saving grace, we were there on Halloween and got to trick or treat right at our table, which was great because the food took so long to come. We ordered appetizers and a dinner item each and after a long wait, received all of them at once. Needless to say much of the meal got cold before we got to it. There should be a disclaimer on the appetizer menu "not going to come before the meal" Don't think I'll be returning, nice to try something new but not a well thought out concept. Came here once with my husband to try out anew spot. The clam chowder was to die for, the wooden pizza was awesome. It was literally basically a bunch of comfort food and it's a twist on a menu, I highly recommend this bar/pub/restaurant! They also had a Canucks raffle going that involved their guests during their dinner while watching the hockey game which I though was sweet for the fans to win little prizes throughout their dinner while watching the hockey game. Beautiful room... great menu... delicious food. Told they just redid their menu... we thought it was great. Lots of beer options... buddy had a burger and said it was the best he has ever eaten! I'm a big fan of Witch Craft. The main reason we go there is for the great beer selection. They have some standards, and they always have some rotating taps. They have some unique options for food...good pub fare. The service and atmosphere rate well also. Best time to go is on Wednesdays for music bingo! read more

We had our first visit to Witchcraft today (excellent name, btw!) and had a great time... We ordered a half portion of the veggie "nachos"... loved that they were kettle chips. A great amount of food for two adults and a three year old at lunch time. The toppings could have been a little more varied... there were a LOT of peppers and tomatoes, good amount of mushrooms, but you skimped on the olives, and the two slices of green onion needed a magnifying glass to find them! ;) That said, it was very tasty and came with a generous helping of salsa and sour cream. We also ordered a side of guacamole, it had ok flavour, but was a little sloppy/slimy and not worth the additional charge imo.... sloppy guacamole and slightly lacking toppings are the only negatives for this review, not a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Our server (Rachel) was outstanding... super friendly, attentive, and really lovely with our son (who loved the colour changing straw, in addition to the wax modelling sticks... so much better than crayons most places provide! Good call whoever found those! Massive win as far as he was concerned!). The proper kid's cup with a lid (as opposed to a disposable cup so often provided when we go out) was a really nice touch that definitely didn't go unnoticed. The only thing we would have liked, would have been "Witchcraft" themed beer glasses... although, in fairness, if it had been a witchy branded glass, at least one would have most likely found its way home with us as a "souvenir"!!! Not even comparable to the old Witch of Endor pub. The only thing that I could see that was original from the old pub was the stained glass windows in the entry. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Kids are allowed until 10 pm nightly. The kitchen closes at 9pm restaurant at 10 pm Sunday-Thursday Friday and Saturday they are open until 1am. Unique menu items that I haven't seen around town before. A little expensive. Beers were served in SMALL pint glasses. They ranged from $6-9ish. Not many appy options. Wings$14, mac&cheese bites $7 or kettle chip nachos. The nachos $18. We had the smoked wings in hot sauce rather than the maple bourbon on the menu. They were very tasty. You can definitely taste the smoke. The mango pulled pork pizza. This was very good. Lots of flavour. Sweet and savoury. More pizza than one person could eat. $18 The Cuban sandwich. LOTS of meat in this. I'd ask for extra pickles next time. It was even better with hot sauce and mustard. Which was at every table. It came with kettle chips but for +$1 a side Salad or potatoe soup. The salad was nothing to write home about. Lots of wilted/brown lettuce. The house dressing was bland. Overall it was yummy. You could really taste all different types of meat. They do not offer fries at all only kettle chips but they are served cold. The server said that they'll be coming out with a brunch menu. We will go back. Good service great food! read more

I came here on a whim to escape the nasty weather outside, and was welcomed into a nice atmosphere. The decor is improvised well, giving an urban industrial feel. I ordered a red truck ale and the poutine. The Kennebec fries were of excellent quality, and the curds and gravy were decent. The staff were prompt to serve me even though the bartender was training someone at the time. The price is worth the good quality local ales and food. I will be coming here again. read more

Huge portions - good service. The vegetarian kettle chips are delicious (good chip to topping ratio) and massive. Buffalo chicken pizza could have used more "Buffalo", but overall pretty decent. After being closed for a couple of years they reopened after renos and had a few growing pains but after some tweaking the food is now very good and they have lots of choices ...choose from a selection of around 15 side dishes with your meal or just order sides like appies. First time back at the Witch since its reopen. Prices seemed pretty steep, $50 for lunch. Most sandwiches were $15, portions were quite large but tasted bland and were messy. The tip option is set to 18% and when you try to choose another option it prompts you back to 18%. We sat at a booth where we were able to see into the kitchen, the cook had his fingers in his mouth on more than one occasion while he was preparing food. There were also other people in the kitchen eating from the preparation counter. The building itself was chilly and the ladies washroom was dirty. read more

Went there a few days ago on a first date. We arrived at 9 thinking this placed at 11 or 12. When we sat down she didnt let us know they were closing in a hour, kinda shortened our date but it was my fault for not looking it up before hand. Anyways service was awesome, they were having hockey night and a guest had left before the draw had happened and the waitress gave the tickets to us which was really nice. We actually won first draw making it a kinda fun first date. Drinks are resonably priced and although we didnt order food ive heard great things. Definitly wayyy better then the old witch that burnt down. Cons: ITS SO COLD IN THERE WEAR A JACKET. They had a heater set up by one of the windows but it was still so cold. read more

Great experience for our first time! Good service and kid friendly, we had our toddler and we had one area to ourselves on a Sunday afternoon. Burger and sandwiches were great - must have changed their menu to include burgers and fries. Kid menu is good, huge portion of pizza with drink and ice cream. My husband took me to the new incarnation of The Witch of Endor, Witchcraft Beer Market and Bistro last night for Mother's Day. We've been there several times since they reopened and always seem to have a problem with their service. Last night was the same old bad service. We went there for their nachos made with kettle chips instead of tortilla chips and a hamburger. My husband has poor eyesight even with glasses on. He pointed out kettle chips and salsa to the waitress and told her that he wanted nachos with no jalapenos. She said that she thought there weren't jalapenos on that dish. I should have known something was wrong. When our food was brought to us we got the wrong dish, of course. We told them that we didn't want that dish and my husband admitted to pointing to the wrong item on the menu. We asked for vegetarian nachos instead. We must have waited another 45 minutes for the correct order to arrive. By that time I was defending my hamburger and yam fries from my starving, grouchy husband. We told the waitress that we wanted them to go, so of course they were brought to us on a dine in plate instead of a box. Then we were charged for the kettle chips that we mistakenly ordered. Donn paid the bill (I wouldn't have) and we left. We discussed the $45 bill for a hamburger, a beer and nachos and realized that we had been charged for the nachos. My husband wouldn't go back in to set it right. We will never go to Witchcraft again. Food is good, service sucks. Not a good way to celebrate mother's day. read more

This place is beautiful! They have approximately 40 craft beers to choose from, and the food is incredibly delicious!! Particularly the oven roasted sandwiches and pizzas. There are good vegetarian choices and the menu is creative. The decor is also modern and friendly. I'm so happy this pub isn't some yuppie and pretentious hang out. It has style.
